Maya yawned a bit as she finally reached her destination. She figured she'd head over to the Pokemon Center to get some rest, both for her Pokemon and herself. She decided she'd let them get some excersize as they went to the center, and she let them all out of their Pokeball's and nearly immediately, Titus' nose rose to the air and began to sniff around . . . it led to a small item right outside of the Pokemon Center, Maya picked it up to find out it was a Nugget! Man, Tidus sure did have a nose for sniffing out valuable items. It seemed Titus was Maya's Lucky Meowth.
She pocketed the Nugget, to be sold for later, and went into the Pokemon Center, to heal up her Pokemon and take a little nap in the back. She stretched, yawning slightly and gave her Pokemon to the Nurse Joy, merely noting with a "Thank you. Back room open?" with a yawn. The woman behind the counter laughed a bit and she replied "Why yes it is. Feel free to rest up as long as you'd like." she said kindly.
Maya responded with a wave of her hand, a nod and a yawn as she began her walk down the hallway to the back. She plopped down in the bed and slowly drifted off to sleep.

After a decent length nap, Maya was suddenly awoken by a loud exclamation coming from outside. "ALL ABOARD THE S.S. ANNE! WE'LL BE LEAVING PORT SHORTLY!" she heard.
S.S. Anne . . . where have I heard that before?" she thought to herself quietly. "OH! I have a ticket for that boat! I'd better hurry up." she exclaimed, bolting out of bed and getting ready. She collected her things, and her pokeballs from the front desk, thanking the kind woman stationed there once again. Maya didn't have much time for anything else, so she ran to the port and flashed her ticket in front of the man, who then let her board the ship.
Maya'd never had a chance to be on one of these before, and she was quite excited. Though . . . she didn't feel too hot, honestly.

Maya mad her way to the Pokemon Gym, but soon found it to be blocked by a large tree. It seemed like it had been cut down many times before, but it probably just grew back at a rapid rate. Maya'd heard rumors that the more a tree is cut down, the faster it comes back, but she'd thought it always sounded bogus. She figured now would be a good time to use her HM, though, as she pulled out the disc and used it on Titus. Soon, the Meowth had forgotten how to use Screech, and had learned how to use Cut.
"C'mon Titus, try out your new attack on that tree right there. I need it cut down to get to the gym." she said. "Meow-Meowth!" her Pokemon responded as it whipped out its claws and sliced strongly at the shrubbery in front of her. It almost appeared nothing had happened at first, but then a clean slice at the base of tree could be seen, as the tree toppled over. Titus helped Maya push the tree out of the way, then it was on to the gym. "C'mon, Titus! Let's get us our next gym badge!" she then exclaimed happily as she made her way into the building. Quote:

Maya entered the gym, and nearly immediately encountered the first trainer. He sent out two strong-looking Pikachu, and Maya sent forth her Meowth. Using Dig as the main line of attack/defense, the Normal Pokemon took them out with ease. As the dirt sprayed forth from Meowth bursting out of the ground, it both blinded the electric rat Pokemon and prohibited them from using their electric attacks more efficiently. Not to mention the super effective damage. The next trainer then sent out a Voltorb, which Meowth again handled with ease, using Dig. Though, the next Pokemon was a bit harder, as Dig didn't work due to Magnemite's Levitate. And it's normal attacks did nothing at all. She called Titus back for the Moment, then sent out her Muddle. As she did so, a third trainer jumped in and sent out their Pikachu, to which Maya had her Muddle spam Water Gun, Mega Punch, and Mud Shot, and soon both of the opposing Pokemon had fallen. Though, Maya figured before she went on, it'd be best to heal these two. Instead of wasting items, she just rushed them to the Pokemon Center and had them healed up and returned to the gym to complete the challenge, and win herself a new shiny badge!Quote:

On her way to approaching the gym leader, Titus seemed to pick up the scent of something, once more. It was another Nugget. Maya patted the little Meowth on the head and placed the Nugget into her bag. She then approached the gym leader ready to get the battle started. The lieutenant agree to the battle, however implying that such a weak little girl stood no chance at victory. The battle started as Lt. Surge sent out his Voltorb, and Maya her Meowth, Titus.
The battle started as Voltorb slammed into Titus. Titus wouldn't take that lightly, though, as he ducked underground, causing Voltorb to miss when it's attack came around the second time, though Titus didn't miss as he popped up from under the Voltorb, knocking it into the air. It turned it's gaze back onto the Meowth as it picked up speed and slammed right on top of Meowth, using Spark and sinking down a bit after a second, only to find Meowth had dug another trap. It shot another volt of Spark, but missed this time, as Meowth then re-appeared from behind the Voltorb, knocking it over with Dig once more. Again, the Voltorb slammed into Meowth with Tackle attack, and again, Titus retreated underground, causing Voltorb's next Tackle to miss, and knocking it out with one final Dig attack. Lt. Surge grumbled loudly as he withdrew his Voltorb from the battle field and sent out his Pikachu. "Aw. My Chuuni's cuter, though." she said picking at the male Pikachu, who's cheeks sparked with electricity at the comment. Maya started off this time with having Titus dig a whole, causing Pikachu's Quick Attack to miss. Though, once Meowth popped up and used Dig, he was hit with another Quick Attack, and he ducked back underground just in time to avoid a Shock Wave attack. Which was lucky, 'cause that was one of the only ways to avoid that attack. Titus then popped back up, slamming a powerful Dig into Pikachu, but suffering from this Shock Wave attack. Meowth couldn't take much more of this, and maybe even seemed paralyzed. "Titus! Return! Go, Muddle!" she exclaimed sending the psuedo water Pokemon onto the field, at which Lt. Surge joked loudly at her decision. "Just wait and see, Muddle'll wipe the floor with you and your little rat!" she said as the Pikachu slammed a Quick Attack into Muddle, and Muddle punched the poor little rat away with a single Mega Punch, knocking it out completely. Lt. Surge then commented on how that was merely a fluke because his Pikachu was so weakened, and he sent out his Raichu, to which he assured Maya could not defeat. The Raichu mimicked it's partner's attack by speedily slamming into Muddle, knocking it back far more than the previous Pokemon did. But Muddle was smarter than that, as he latched onto the Raichu, delivering a powerful Mud Shot to the face. Raichu broke free via using another Quick Attack to slam into Muddle again, but immediately fell at the hands of Muddle when another Mud Shot escaped it's mouth, and pushed the Raichu against the wall. Lt. Surge then angrily exclaimed that he should've used electric attacks against the weak water Pokemon. That he was taking it easy. "Taking it easy, huh? I don't think so. And electric attacks have no effect on my Muddle, here, 'cause he's part Ground type. That's partly why his Mud Shot was so effective . . . and why he knows it . . . duh!" she exclaimed as Lt. Surge then grudgingly tossed Maya her prize money, TM and badge, telling her to take it and leave, which she did.

Maya made her way to the Pokemon Center and had all of her Pokemon healed, then figured since her bag was getting rather heavy that she'd go to the Poke Mart and get rid of several items. Upon getting her Poke Balls back, she was off for the Mart. Once there, she pulled out her bag, placing it on the counter, and flipped through, selling her two nuggets, her pouch of stardust, and her X-Attack. She got 250 Poke for the X Attack, and a whopping 15000 total for the two nuggets and stardust pouch. She contemplated buying some more items like Super Potions or something while she was there, but her Pokemon were tough and she still had 10 in her bag, so she figured she was good. Though, she was quite surprised at how fat her wallet seemed to be getting. She took her stuff and headed off for Route 11 to see what was over there, hoping to continue further on her journey.Quote:

Yue and Wynter wandered their way into the city known as Vermillion City. "Alright." spoke Yue in a firm and friendly tone. "First things first. We need to heal up, and I'm gonna send this little guy to the PC. He'll have more fun in there, I'm thinking." he spoke with a smile to Wynter.
"Alright." spoke the soft-spoken female. "Vahna needs to be healed as well." she spoke with a smile. She was beginning to love her Pokemon even if she wasn't one for gaining gym battles. She really didn't even like battling much at all. Especially as a competition between trainers. But regardless, the two individuals made their way to the Pokemon Center to heal up. Wynter always had a certain infatuation with the Nurse Joys' profession of Pokemon Caretaking, and she herself wished to get into such a such a profession one day. But she was just a starting out trainer now . . . but one day, hopefully . . . one day.

After Yue and Wynter both received their Pokemon back from Nurse Joy, Yue turned to his training partner an spoke. "I think I saw an exit to a route near here. I'd like to get some training in before headed over to the gym for a battle." he chimed with a smile, signaling for Wynter to come on. She agreed that this was fine and they were on their way. Yue, after returning to Vermillion City made a brief stop to the Pokemart for some Potions and then the Pokemon Center to heal up his party. After retrieving his Pokemon, he withdrew his Abra from his PC and made sure it was holding the Lucky Egg he'd received as that particular Pokemon would be needing the most training. As they would then exit the building, the two would hear called out from the port: "ALL ABOARD THE S.S. ANNE! ALL ABOARD!" Wynter jumped at this development. "Oh, Yue! We have tickets for that! Let's go!" she'd exclaim emphatically. Yue laughing lightly at such. "Alright, alright. We do have tickets, so I don't see why not." he smile making his way over to the port with the excited woman and boarding the ship. He had to admit he was rather excited, too. Quote: Yue Party Info:

Determined to get his badge and to use this time to get his other Pokemon up to a sufficient battling level, he entered the gym, encountering multiple trainers along the way. Every time he would send out Abra first, who would merely teleport around the field a bit, and would have to be recalled and Drowzee sent out. He knew he was doing this to get more experience, but his other Abra had been so workable. This one seemed far more lazy and not even willing to try battling. Drowzee, on the other hand, did fine at battling. "Good job out there, guys. Though perhaps we need a bit more training before we challenge the leader here . . . but what's a good way to gain experience?" he asked himself as he wandered towards the Pokemon Center, Wynter by side, a man walking the streets stopping him as Yue asked this question.
"Did you ask how could you get some training done? Well, I'll tell you, boyo! You've asked at the right time. Y'see, an influx of real strong Gyarados have come in on the bay. If ye had yerself a Super Rod, ya could catch some." he said with a wide grin.
"But . . . I don't have one." Yue replied inquisitively. Wynter noting the rod on the man's back hopefully.
"Aw, shucks. I'll let you borrow mine. Jus' make sure you return it an' all." the old fisherman spoke with a smile, talking the rod off his back and handing it to Yue to use for a short period of training.
"Oh, really?! Thanks, man! I'll be sure to get this back to you as soon as possible!" he spoke with a smile, rushing towards the Pokemon Center, which had a ledge you could fish over right in front of it. "A perfect set-up, too!" he exclaimed happily, Wynter glad as well. Now let's try this out." he spoke making his way over to the ledge before going into the Pokemon Center. "Come on out guys. This is going to be one of Yue's old fashioned hardcore training sessions. If any of you can't keep up, just let me know, alright, buds?" he said, kneeling down to being eye-level with them, placing his hand atop Metang's head. "Alright! Let's go at it!" he'd then follow up, turning around to the dock's ledge and casting his line over, not long after reeling in a massive Gyarados, Abra and Drowzee taking it on. This went on for a while, Drowzee and Abra taking the first two, Metang taking on at least four and Alakazam and Mankey taking on about three a piece. "Guys. You look exhausted. How about we heal up then continue on. I only have this rod for a short while, so I'd like to get as much training out of it as I can while this opportunity is around." he said with a smile, Metang and the group agreeing happily, albeit tiredly as Yue would then recall them. After a quick round of healing, Yue received his Pokemon back from Nurse Joy and released them from their containers. "Alright. Round two fellas. And remember, I can keep at this for a long time, just tell me when you guys are ready to stop. " he spoke with a smile, Drowzee and Mankey nodding, while Alakazam and Metang gave an enthusiastic head-nod. Abra not seeming to pay any attention.
After that, it was back outside to continue more training. It was roughly as well as last time, though this time Alakazam and Mankey learned new moves. And at the end . . . ! Abra began to glow! "Yeah! Abra! Once you evolve into Kadabra, you'll be able to learn more moves!" he encouraged Abra. Abra continued to glow, then flashed oddly, and . . . and . . . he . . . stopped evolving. ?! "Abra?" Yue questioned it in a curious tone. Perhaps it was a fluke. He'd train the group for a third round and see if it was just that Abra wasn't strong enough to evolve yet. More training might solve this problem. All of his team needed a rest at the center again before continuing, though. Quote: Yue Party Info:

Yue returned once more into the Pokemon Center, handed his Pokemon to Nurse Joy, who then handed them back to Yue. Wynter all the while waiting outside on a park bench her Pokemon happily frollicking about while Yue trained. Yue exited the Pokemon Center ready for another round, he and his Pokemon just getting pumped.
After all of his Pokemon had their bouts of battling, Abra seemed to be struggling yet again with evolving. "Come on, Abra. If you evolve, Drowzee here won't have to support you so much." Yue pleaded to the Pokemon who failed to evolve once more. With an exasperated sigh he called his Pokemon back. "Alright. One more try. I want to see some serious results from this training before you stop, alright, guys?" he spoke with a stern yet pleasant tone as he entered the Pokemon Center once more. Quote: Yue Party Info:
