[-The S.S. Anne is a cruise ship that usually sets sail once a year. It's a big event, and you're lucky to be invited! This time around, the cruise ship is hosting a trainer party where trainers will board the ship, attend the party, battle other trainers and, best of all, receive a very important, complimentary item! Because of the party, the ship will be doing a mini-cruise where it sets sail just a little ways out of the Vermillion Port and returns the same night. So, enjoy yourselves for the whole day and tackle the gym leader when you're done-]

Maya made sure her Pokemon were in mint condition in Vermilion before boarding the ship, then upon entering the ship, Maya nearly immediately slipped on something. She picked it up angrily, a furious expression sprawled across her face. "Who left their Pokeball lying around like this so carelessly?" she shouted angrily, being the short tempered teen she was. Though, she soon found it to look a bit different than pokeballs and stored it in her pouch for later. She continued on, and soon found a room with tons of trainers in it.
"Hey, want to battle?!" one of them exclaimed, more saying they were going to than asking, as they sent out a pretty strong Nidoran.
"Muddle, go!" she then yelled in response, tossing a Pokeball into the air, her Marshtomp appearing onto the battle field. "Use Water Gun!" she yelled, as a powerful stream of water then burst forth, hitting the Pokemon, then the opposing trainer had their Nidoran use Double Kick, which dealt some powerful damage to Muddle. "Muddle! Finish it off with Mud Shot!" she exclaimed as mud mixed with the water, and gooped up the Nidoran, dealing super effective damage and blowing him back into the wall. "Way to go!" she exclaimed as she patted her Marshtomp on the back, and made her way towards another door. Before she could even reach it, she was asked for another battle, this time a two on two battle. First, the opponents sent out a Pidgey and Nidoran. Maya's Marshtomp handled them with Water Gun and Mud Shot. Then they each sent out a Nidoran, and a few powerful Mudshots later, the battles were over. This time, however, the trainers rewarded her with not only Poke, but with The TM31 and TM33. She thanked them for their generosity, and went on through the doors. By the smell of it, she'd reached the kitchen.Quote:

Maya pushed open the doors to the kitchen, as her belly grumbled in sync with her pushing. Her cheeks then filled with blood and embarrasment as they lit up a bright pink. A few of the chefs in the kitchen even looked up at her in shock. They often received visitors, she could see, as a few tables were set up for people to snack at. It was a sort of open kitchen/diner area, it appeared. She smiled as one of them offered her a bowl of vegetable soup, a slice of cornbread and a glass of apple cider. She happily obliged, though it wasn't her favorite meal in the world, and began to eat. She picked around the vegetables she didn't like in the soup, eating mostly the meat, tomatos, beans and potatoes. Eating only a bit of the lettuce, cabbage, and carrots. Though she ate enough, before moving on to her bread, and washing it all down with the cider. Now effectively filled, she returned her dishes to the front, and thanked the men for a nice meal, but before she left, they also gave her three berries. A Chesto, Pecha, and Cheri Berry. She thanked them again for their kindness, and returned to the room she'd previously came from, instantly challenged to a battle again, it seemed. Again, two trainers at once.
She sent out her Meowth this time to handle them, as the opponents sent sent out a Growlithe and a Horse respectively. The Growlithe was taken out with ease with Titus' Dig attack, then the Horsea was finished off with Fury Swipes and Bite. The trainers then sent out another Growlithe and both a Shellder and a Tentacool. The Tentacool and Growlith again succumbed to Titus' Dig attack, and the Shellder fell prey to a powerful Bite attack. She continued on, and soon encountered yet another two trainers. These two went all out. The first trainer sending out their Shellder, the second sent out his three Horsea. This seemed unfair to Maya, but she still had Titus fight, but not before healing him up with a Super Potion. She seemed to be running a bit low on those, actually. She'd need to pick up some more.
The battle was a long one, with Maya's Meowth fighting hard, using Fury Swipes as the main line of attack and defense, and Bite to try and finish things off, though when things got tough, Titus would duck beneath the ground for cover, trying to stay alive, as the barrage of attacks from the water Pokemon was rough. But Titus came out on top in the end, and she was rewarded with a pouch of Stardust. Though, he was weak. Perhaps it'd be wise for Maya if she sought out an infirmary. Yeah. That's what she'd do. And she thought she'd saw a door that seemed like it was it on her way back in from the kitchen.Quote:

Upon reaching the infirmary, she was greeted by a large crowd of people healing their Pokemon there. It looked like the line would be long, but a Nurse soon greeted her and gave her a pack of medical supplies. There were items to heal health, power points, and even a sort of steroid in the pack. She thanked the kind Nurse, and left, nearly immediately greeted by a trainer. The trainer sent out a Tentacool and Staryu, to which Maya sent out her Belle to handle the situation by using Mega Drain. Nearly all of the damage taken was negated by the Pokemon's Absorb. An onslaught of people then came at her, trying to take her Gloom out of commission. She then battled a Machop, Tentacool, Staryu, Shellder, Pikachu, two Goldeen, and a Tentacool and even a Growlithe and Ponyta . . . in that order. Though after all of that battling, using Absorb, Belle seemed a bit too exhausted to go on. She recalled her Gloom and sent out her Pikachu to finish the battling. She couldn't wait until this was over with. She more so wanted to get her next gym badge. And she REALLY wanted to try out contests. Such straight forward battling could get boring to her.Quote:

Chuuni was now positioned for battle, and Maya was ready to get her Pokemon some experience in battle. The first trainer to challenger her sent out a Rattata and a Pikachu. How coincidental. One rat pokemon against two. This would be an interesting battle. Maya, not wanting the opponent's Pikachu to benefit from any stray electric attacks, had Pikachu finish them off with Slam, and thought it took a bit of battling, the stronger Pokemon came out on top. Then, quickly approached by a second trainer, he sent out a Machop and Tentacool, followed by his friend who sent out another Machop and a Shellder. She really attracted the type of people who liked to gang up on their opponent. Perhaps they didn't like being beaten by a girl or something? She shrugged this off and had Pikachu shoot a few Thudershocks to zap the enemies, the water Pokemon in particular, who fainted quickly from the electric shocks. Then, she had Pikachu go in for the finish with a couple of Slam attacks to the fighting-type Machops. The battle was soon over, and she collected her prize money. "Ha. Thanks guys. Nice battling you all for today, but I think I'm going to take a break now." she said with a laugh as she walked off.Quote:

Maya sat on the deck of the ship, in a fold-out, chair, just looking out over the ocean. Sure, the battling was fun, but she really just wanted the view. "Ma'am. Here's your complimentary prize for competing with the trainers on deck. You surely deserve it." said a butler-like waiter who gave her the prize, then departed. Maya, shielding her eyes from the sun, gave the item a once over. This item seemed very much like it could come in handy. Man, was she thankful she'd battled today. Not only did she gain a deal of experience, but she got a prize, too. HM01, Cut! She just hoped teaching her Pokemon this mediocre move would make them forget one of their current attacks. Because as useful as this attack could be out of battle, she could tell that in battle, it wouldn't be of too much use. But she figured she'd just do what she had to do. She'd wait until the time, came, however. She yawned a bit and stretched in her chair, deciding to take a nap.
Soon, however, the boat's horn could be heard, as could Maya's loud scream and her falling out of her chair. "You could warn a girl, first!" she hollered at the horn as if it had some sort of conciousness. She flipped a bit of her hair out of her face, and to the side, as she grabbed her things and readied to depart from the ship. She was now on her way to get her 3rd gym badge! Quote:

Yue groaned as he stepped onto the ship, now realizing what his choice in boarding the S.S. Anne truly meant . . . it meant Wynter trying to lead him around and gathering neat little items people were giving away here and there and even being led into the kitchen by her for a while to be taught how to cook. They even gave them a bit of berries to take along with them. Slinking through the main walkways, Yue had a rather bored expression on his face, but then was rather surprised when he came across a sign that read 'Battle Deck'. "Wynter!" he said pointing to the sign excitedly, as if he were a mere child once more. Wynter smiled. "Alright, but after this, I'd really like to see what they have in the restaurant on this ship. It's not a terribly long trip, so I'd love to get something to eat before we dock." she spoke with a nod, following the hurried Yue onto the Battle Deck where he commenced to calling out his two Pokemon to train. "Come on out! Drowzee! Abra!" he exclaimed, having his arsenal of Super Potions at his side ready to be used whenever. "You two need the most experience, so you guys get first dibs." he spoke with a look of enjoyment upon his face as he rushed into battles, always sending Abra in first, and to his disappointment, Abra always failing to do much, Drowzee pulling the weight of the battle around for the most part. Afterwards, exhausted and five Super Potions in the hole, he returned to Wynter. "I'm up for that food now." he spoke with a very slight pant, recalling his two Pokemon to their respective balls. The two made their way to the room labeled with some long fancy restaurant title that Yue could hardly pronounce and they entered. Luckily this meal would be free, as it seemed the sort of place to be rather expensive. It was rather awesome of them to have stumbled across the tickets. Sitting down, Wynter spoke up. "This place seems nice." she spoke casually, a waiter approaching the table as they looked over the menus, asking what they'd have to eat. "I'll just have a steak, loaded baked potato, a corn cob and then just iced sweet tea to drink, please. For now." he listed politely with a humorous gesture to the desserts on the list to top it off. The waiter now asking Wynter directly what she'd have. "Hm. I'll have . . . I'll just have the ceasar salad with the grilled -insert generic chicken like meat here- and a large glass of lemonade. Also a side of rolls and chips with salsa, please." she spoke clasping her hands together with a kind smile to the man as he politely said that was perfectly fine and gathered the menus and left them to discuss for a moment. After a while of discussing, their appetizers were brought for them to munch on while their main courses cooked. They sipped at their drinks, which came with free refills, and chowed down as they continued spending a bit more quality time together. They discussed all sorts of topics and after just a bit of waiting, their food was brought to their table. They continued their discussion throughout their meal, ending on a light note as the boat came to dock. With a yawn Yue stood up. "I suppose we should head to Vermillion City again to get some rest . . . I've still got to try that gym." he said with an anxious smile, Wynter blushing oddly as they walked from the ship to the Pokemon Center to get some rest. Quote: Yue Party Info:
