Introduction Learning to trust someone after years of fighting is not something that can be easily done. It is even harder when the cause of that fighting was due being different or believing in things that the other does not. Horan has been the home to Humans, Avians, and Fells for many centuries and since the earliest recordings conflicts between the three races was as strong as it still is to this very day, although when you compare the past to the present things have changed from the way they were. Mighty human kingdoms and empires formed and forced both Avian and Fell to unite against a common enemy, and while the fighting is no longer between the tribes, it has merely expanded to a much greater scale that now costs thousands and thousands of lives. While the people or Horan fight for their own beliefs, a new presence has come forth, created by the blood soaked grounds of the past. The endless years of bloodshed have given birth to a race called the Forsaken, controlled by a dark being of great power who has literally taken Human, Avian, and Fell dead from both past and present and given them new life. With them he plans to purge Horan and make it his own world, a dark sadistic creation that mocks both life and hell itself! While danger looms in the shadows, the people of Horan go on, unaware that the countdown to the end… has begun…. Tales of Horan is an epic sized adventure roleplay based on my ideas for a book. It focuses on a horrible enemy born through the past conflicts of the land and those who have died and how a group of heroes united and saved Horan. In short a typical Fantasy RP, only difference is I've thrown some of my own unique twists and creations. The rp wil be starting in Moradin near the front and in the wastelands

Race Information Human Humans are curious, creative, and above all known to be very adaptable, this mostly on part of their inventions of not only old but recently. They make up a large majority of the people on Horan(around 55%) they have a government based almost identical to that of Medieval Europe. Each kingdom has a crowned leader and a number of lords and knights who see to the various regions and well being of the peasants. This nobility is made from a combination of blood(in the form of the crowned and lords) with knights being other either noble blood or people who have proven themselves worthy enough to be 'adopted' or 'given' knighthood. It is due to this mostly blood based rulers that have caused certain problems with how things are run and how Avian and especially Fells view humans. While someone might be a noble or a knight, quite often they are not 'the best choice' to be doing what they are doing. Some are very good and naturals when it comes to controlling things like taxes or commanding men in battle but most are in it for themselves and are corrupt and have little or no skill when it comes to anything. Magic users have their own workings, separated into members of the Church who not only preach about the Goddess Ariel but use the healing and holy magics she gives to her 'followers' and members of the Mages Order, which devote their entire lives to the study and mastery of magic for civil and military purposes. While Fells and Avian might think Humans as chaotic and uncivilized they didn't reach their current size and power through being completely inept and this system of Monarchy has worked quite well for them. A Human can live to be 65 years old but that is rare. Average lifespan is around 30-40 years, this due to disease, war, and a number of other factors. Average height is around 5'6 for men and 5'2 for women. Average weight is around 180lb for men and 140lb for women. This usually applies for those well fed, or nobles, most peasants are at least 10-20 pounds lighter then the above weight. Avian Avian are a mixture of human and, not surprising bird. Making up only 10% of the people on Horan they are small not only in numbers and size but isolated, which supports smaller numbers far better. Avian are known by their taller statures and wings that extend from their shoulder blades, which allow them to fly, if you were to remove the wings they would look like humans who were about a head taller then everyone else. Avian are split into three tribes, Crane(1%), Owls(4%), and Falcons(5%) who each control their own kingdom but have members who form what is known as the Council of Birds where they talk and discuss issues as a whole nation. Each tribe is known for various things that make them unique, Cranes for example are known for their majestic white wings, long silver hair, and their mastery of Ariel's holy magics. Owls not only their larger brown wings but vastly larger size(members of the owl tribe are taller then Cranes by an additional head and of large build similar to that of some of the lesser Fell tribes). With Falcons being a mixture of birds of prey who are slightly smaller then Cranes but in exchange are more powerful and far more aggressive then both Owls and Cranes. While magic is used by the Avian Tribes, only the Cranes have true mastery of magic and 9 times out of 10 the only ones to use magic in combat. The Avian tribes believe themselves to be made in the Holy Goddess Ariel's own image, while this draws distaste from both Fells and Humans, current knowledge and facts strongly support this. Avian's vary greatly due to extreme differences between the tribes. Cranes can live very long lives, this due to their knowledge and understanding of Light Magics. The oldest Crane that humans learned about was 500 years old. In truth, Cranes can live up to 1000 years and it's not until the age of 50 that a crane enters adulthood. They look far younger then they actually are and its not till around 700-800 years that they start showing signs of old age that a human does. Average height is around 5'8 for men and 5'6 for women. Owls live around 150 years and Falcons live around 100 years, no where near what cranes can do but in contrast there are a lot more falcons and owls then cranes. The shorter life is also due to lack of the magical knowledge that cranes possess and the fact Owls and Falcons are warlike and aggressive and actually have losses due to fighting. Its unknown how long either one actually lives, very few make it past the above ages as they usually are killed before that age or close to it. Falcons height is around 5'0 for men and 4'6 for women, they are light but very agile. Owls height is around 6'2 for men and '5'9 for women, they are massive and similar to most Fells in strength, power, and size. The weight of Avains are considerably lighter then both Human and Fell due to their unique bone structure(very similar to birds) that allows them to fly. The average weight for Falcons is around 100lb for males and 80lb for females, Cranes 90lb for men and 70lb for women, and Owls come in the heaviest at 120lb for men and 100lb for women. Owls have stronger and larger wings and thus are able to handle slightly heavier weight. Fell Fells make up the remaining 35% of the people on Horan and in a contrast to their population size, control a large majority of land. While they use a similar tribe system to that used by the Avian and governing of their own kingdoms and nations with a Council of the Beasts to talk about the bigger picture, Fells believe that strength, not blood is right for leadership and battle. They are far bulkier then Humans and by far stronger too, to them fighting is either victory or death. If you are defeated you are without honor and thus deserving of none so when a Fell has a problem with another Fell they will often fight to determine who is 'right' and who is 'wrong'. The Fell tribes are divided into several 'groups' which are further divided into 'animal subtypes'. The main tribes, and thus kingdoms are Canine, Feline, and Ursidae. A Fell in appearance looks similar to what could be called a 'demi human' or 'werehuman'. In the case of Feline and Canine a tail, ears, or both depending on the sub type and for Ursidae their massive size, overwhelming strength, and sharp claws. All Fells have sharp fangs and in the case of Ursidae and Feline sharp claws. Canine are split into two groups, Foxes and Wolves. (They are the second largest tribe 13%) Feline split into three groups, Cats, Tigers, Lions. (They are the largest tribe 21%) Ursidae have only one group, Bear. (They are the smallest tribe but in comparison to the other two are probably the most powerful and considered the deadliest race on Horan. 1%) The Foxes of the Canine tribe are the most skilled at magic of all the Fell tribes, they are known for their ears and tail which are usually red, but sometimes white. The Wolves make up most of the Canine tribe and have only a tail. Wolves tend to live to be 30-40 before they are usually killed in combat. Foxes are the same but can and have made it to 45 years. Height wise, Foxes usually average 4'8 for both male and female. Wolves on the other hand have heights of 5'4 for Males and 5'8 for Females, with Females being dominant. Average weight for both males and females is around 160lb for the wolves and 140lb for the foxes Feline are the most diverse with Cats and Tigers making up most of the tribe with Lions holding the position of 'ruling class' given their strength and power although there are Cats and Tigers who are among the ruling class in the Feline tribe. Cats are known for their ears and tail, Tigers their tail and larger size, and Lions their main like hair and larger size then Tigers. The felines all on average live to be around 35 years old, due to the most common cause of death in Horan, death by combat. Rulers often outlive the others because of their strength and power that allowed them to take their position and go up to 45 years old. Most of the Elder Fells are usually covered with scars from past battles and they are taken as a sign of strength and earn them respect. Average height is where things vary differently. Cats(5'0 for both) Tigers(6'0M/5'8F) Lions(6'4M/6'0F) Cats weight the least of all Fells at 130lb but are probably the most agile. Tigers and Lions fight for the largest with an average weight that ranges from anywhere between 180lb to 260lb most of which is usually muscle. Ursidae are 'giants' even by Fell terms. They do participate in the Council of Beasts but rarely do they get involved in matters that don't effect them directly. While it has been the Felines who have mostly gone to war with the Humans, the Ursidae have never been attacked nor gone to war nor do they plan to. Ursidae are a mystery even to their fellow tribe, as they keep to themselves and only partake in council with their fellow tribes not much is known. The council members have an average a height of at least 8'0 and probably weight several hundred pounds of muscle but not much more then that. Given how long the same ones continue to appear its believed that Ursidae live similar to that of cranes, perhaps even longer. Twisted Although they haven't openly shown themselves yet, Twisted are Human, Avian, and Fell of old who passed on and their blood seeped into the cold earth to be used by a dark power and then be reborn. To those who have actually seen them and told others who do not believe them, they are described in a similar manner to a demon. Twisted humans have become a mixture of undead soldiers and diseased and rotting men and users of dark magics, while twisted Avians and Fells have been transformed into werebeasts more animal then humanoid and far more vicious and deadly. Twisted are the main enemy in this story and a major part of the overall plot. (NOT PLAYABLE)

Although they do not have a royal family or monarchy, by comparison Alexis is about the same as a princess, and even though she is 20, she looks more like someone who is in the very early teens. As part of her training to properly use her light magic, Alexis and her teacher have gone to the wastelands part of Moradin where she is learning how to heal injured Fells and Avians. She's overly critical and quite rash, and has a temper that would frighten even a Fell lion. She's hot headed and is a leap before you look and ask questions later type of person. Bio: Rem used to be somewhat of a girly girl until she learned the hard way that being girly was not going to get her very far in life. Fells were not meant to be princesses, they were made to fight and fight was something Rem was able to be very good at. She wasn't treated as badly as those whom were weaker then her but overall more males then females serve in the Fell army, from the cat tribe, its usually men and because of her desire to prove herself she's been labeled a tomboy/girl boy since she has a very female figure, but when compared to 'average development' she's well into the below average area. She's decked more then one person, most who've been people that have tried to tell her what she should do and she's been passed around through different divisions as a serious trouble case. She's a fairly good fighter, the problem is that she just dislikes men telling her what to do or more correctly authority figures in general. She has been fighting in Moradin for a few months and has heard about strange creatures and has actually been trying to find evidence of them instead of doing her job as a soldier. Marcus can be lazy at times but, that's never while he's healing or in the middle of a battle. Bio: Marcus was born in the capital city of Tyre in the kingdom of Teldessa, his parents were traders and as such he travelled a lot as a kid, though it was still in Teldessa. It was dangerous work but, his parents were able to give him an alright life. On one trip when he was about seven things went terribly wrong and his parents and him were attacked by bandits. His parents were injured and so was he but, he was still able to walk and as such his parents gave him a chance to get away by sacrificing themselves. Marcus ran away as fast as he could and was able to get away only to end up getting lost in the forest. Unable to stop himself from bleeding he was rather close to death from the loss of blood. That was until he met an avian, a crane which he never saw before, the crane saved his life and helped him get back to his hometown. Once he was back the church took him in as an orphan, through many years of training and the will to try and become like an avian and use light magic helped him become a good enough healer as a human. Blue eyes and a white and black tale were not prominent in her family and she was born as a weak child. Of course, she wasn't shunned by her family although she was pitied by most. Extra Themesong: Vanessa Mae - The Devil's Trill Aoife of Erin Basic Information Character Name: Velvela (Vel) Sinopa Age: 22 Race: Fell (Fox) Birthplace: Wulfen, Beastia Personality: Velvela is a fierce woman in battle, merciless as she takes down her foes. She revels in slicing them open and never ends it quickly; taking joy in making them suffer slowly. But this is all a mask to keep down the beatings. Inside, Velvela is a quiet woman. She despises raising a hand to another, unless they deserve it, or in self protection. Her sense of humor has dissipated over the years, beaten down with the lashes of the whip. She is, all in all, a strong and withstanding woman, willing to put herself in harms way to protect another, even if her manner is quiet and distant. Bio: Where to begin, where to begin. The beginning shall never do for a creature such as the one I am telling you of. Velvela’s life, as far as her many bloodthirsty fans are concerned, didn’t begin until she was given into the hands of her slaver. How interesting that turned out to be. Vel’s father, though a hard working man, was never the type able to withstand temptation. His greatest was the temptation to bet all his hard earned money, and then loose it. This made it very hard to feed the four hungry mouth’s waiting at home, and beside that, created a great many enemies. Enemies in Wulfen are never a good idea. How the lion ended up being in their canine home, she will never know, but her father had finally drawn his number. The debt was enormous, many times greater then what he would ever be able to repay. With no money to give to the lion, and a payment demanded, the only recourse available was death. Her mother and younger sister fell victim to her father’s gambling ways, two bloody piles on his conscious. Torn by their deaths, he struck a deal with the devil himself. Already two lives had been taken, so to finish the payment, he handed over his only daughter, hoping to placate the lion’s anger with the offering of a slave. It was unorthodox. And it was just the right deal. Velvela was sixteen when she was taken away from her family and sent off to the home of her owner. Too young to fight just yet, she was trained viciously for two years, bearing the merciless training by day, and whatever could be dredged up for her by night. By the coming of her introduction to the illegal fights held for a entertainment of the sick and twisted souls of the stands of the secret game, she was full of spite. That first battle was quick and bloody. But she came out the victor. As she has every other time she has been forced into that exit less arena. Now, she lives just as she has been since she was sixteen. For the demands of her slaver, and the blood of battle. Physical Information Overall Appearance: Velvela Out-of-Fight clothingHeight: 4’5” Weight: 85 lbs. Eye Color: Amber Hair Color: Red Unique Markings: Ragged scar over her abdomen, reaching from the left bottom curve of her chest armor to her opposite mid thigh. There is also a scar running up from her right jaw, just at her ear lobe, up her cheek to the inner corner of her right eye. In addition to, black kohl lining her eyes and a brand of a lion burnt on the small of her back to signify who she fights for. FamilyFather: Crevan Sinopa Mother: Otsana Agwang (deceased) Sibling #1: Raul Sinopa (elder brother) Sibling #2: Tokala Sinopa (2nd elder brother) Sibling #3: Lupita Sinopa (younger sister)(deceased) Skills, Job, and Equipment Occupation: Slave, Fighter Abilities/skills: Close quarter combat, and considering her lifestyle, being able to stay alive. Magic: She uses light fire magic to give her weapons an added edge in her battles. Weapons: Tiger Hooks and 3 throwing daggers.Armor: ArmorEquipment: None Extra Themesong:Velvela’s DirgeNote from Jessie/Angel: Although fighting is competative(like boxing or UFC), the type of fighting Vel has been in is very similar to street fighting, which is illegal. Idlemess Basic InformationCharacter Name: Rhys Axfol Age: 47 Race: Avian - Owl Birthplace: Urrow, Wymond Personality: Silent, Thoughtful, Intelligent, Cunning, Bio: Rhys was born into a moderately wealthy family in Urrow; they were respected and thought well of by many of the politicians and civilians that lived there. The Axfol family was renowned for their innovation in many different aspects of life for the Avian Owl civilization. They had many artist, soldiers, and politicians within their bloodline so, it was quite something for Rhys to live up to as he grew older. He took a different path to approaching the exposure of a career; he became a solder who had a distinct focus in the arcane arts. It was a strange path but one that was accepted within his family Creed. Now, he goes on studying the arcane to see if it is possible for him to take druidic qualities in a culture that embraces the warrior. Physical InformationOverall Appearance: He is a well built man, broad shoulders, strong chest. Wears a mask that is attributed to his family's heritage. Wears basic plate armor similar to that of a japanese samurai without the plate on the shoulders. Height:6'4 Weight:190 Eye Color:Emerald Hair Color:Brown Unique Markings: Tribal tattoos along abdomen and shoulder blades. Skills, Job, and EquipmentOccupation: Wanderer Abilities/skills: Survivalist, Artist Magic: Can only manipulate wind slightly--isn't skilled enough. That was until Crim’s father was caught working with the Fell as an informant. He brought dishonor upon the family and was cast out of the hierarchy of the kingdom. They were exiled out of Arlies without delay as well as stripped of their wealth. The family moved to Moradin to live in the Eva mining facilities. It was there Crim’s father made a living by working in the blast mines, while in his off time he spent time with his son. This was the way they spent their lives until Crim turned seven. At this age his father began to train him in the art of fighting. The boy learned how to wield a sword, but also learned the art of the swordmage from his father. His father treasured the boy, and taught him everything he knew. They always trained together, but as the boy got older so did the father. The mines took a toll on the man, and he aged further. His father was struck ill by a disease so he spent time in his bed most of the time. This happened when Crim was at the age of eighteen. It was then he was forced to earn a living for the family. Instead though of following his father’s footsteps in the mines he became a mercenary instead. At first he worked in groups, but often his comrades and what would be friends fell around him. As he gained more experience in fighting he began to work in smaller groups until the point that he was strong enough to work alone. Crim would always come to see his father who would always support his son. He would constantly apologize to Crim for the dishonor he brought them and wished that his son could have a better life. This drove Crim to find a way to restore the family honor. He has been fighting fiercely ever since in anyway. Be it against the enemies of Moradin, gladiator combat, bodyguard, almost anything. Never though does he leave the country for fear of his father. The man’s illness still haunts him, and it is that fear that drives Crim to fight harder. All Crim wants is to restore the family honor before his father dies. Physical Information Overall Appearance: CrimHeight: 5’9 Weight: 185 Eye Color: Red Hair Color: Red Unique Markings: None Family Father: Jericho Incendia Skills, Job, and Equipment Occupation: Swordmage, Fighter for Hire Abilities/skills: Swordsmanship Magic: Shield warding- Instead of wearing armor he uses magic to create a sense of armor around him Fire- Ignites the blade on fire with the color varying with the heat Weapons: InfernoArmor: None Equipment: A key Kalon_Ordona_II Basic Information Character Name: Gedric Tanager Age: 52 Race: Human Birthplace: Ank, Burren Empire, Fera Personality: Surly, Obsessive Bio: Gedric was the eldest son of Edward Tanager, renowned among the Magi of Ank. During Gedric's early years, it was clear that he was his father's son. Gedric had the raw talent for magic and the intelligence to put it to use. All was going well, until Edward Tanager contracted a magical ailment during an experiment. He died while Kaeli Tanager was still pregnant with Cimon. Kaeli herself died in childbirth. Gedric was 25 at the time; his brother Sephtus was 14, engaged to wed Mithra Sparrow; Joseph was 8; little Scythia was only 3; and poor Cimon just born. It was all too much for Gedric. He ran away, which left Sephtus as the Tanager heir but also forced him and Mithra to marry much sooner in order to better take care of Scythia and Cimon. Gedric became driven to overcome where his father had failed. To do that, he needed to become more powerful. And to do that, he needed to live long enough to acquire that power. Herbalism and Conjuring, in addition to the magic Gedric already knew, prolonged Gedric's lifespan bit by bit. Over the years, Gedric has exceeded the common human number of years, thanks to this obsession. Many would say he has achieved that goal, but Gedric himself, of course, would disagree. The wastelands, a very fitting name for what was once a very lush and beautiful part of the Kingdom of Moradin now just a dessicated waste of charred ground, missing villages, towns, and castles with scores of bodies and graves spread across it all, the only thing that now noticeably dots the landscape. A horrible place full of horrible things, a place you would not expect to find a young avian girl, let alone a young girl who was part of the cranes. As the full moon, bathed in a soft glow of red, a unique occurrence that usually happened once in a normal persons lifetime gave off an eerie glow of crimson onto the ground below, amid the missing sounds of animals whom once sung and called, the wastelands were far from quiet. The snarls and roars of some kind of beasts echoed for miles, a recent event that has not only unsettled the nerves of soldiers who rest near the front line, but has even effected some of the Fells, specifically those wounded and being treated. While this was yet another night for them, for a young avian girl, it was more like a nightmare.
Alexis slipped and literally smashed face first into a fairly large puddle of mud with a rather sickening plop that further staining both her white wings, which had splotches of blood, as well as her clothes, which were also covered in blood. It wasn't difficult to understand her being covered in blood, she had been treating injured soldiers like any crane would, her reason for running though, was linked to the snarls that came from behind her. Coughing and trying to spit out the mud that got into her mouth and blocked her throat, Alexis had one thought rushing through her mind, escape! As the sounds of what was chasing her got closer she forced herself up and took partial flight. She was weak and only made a few feet into the air but it was enough to held her put distance between what ever it was that was trying to attack her. Tears fell from her eyes and caused a number of the cuts and scrapes on her face to sting but that was the least of her worry. Her right arm hand limp at her side, flying in the air made it hang down towards the ground, this due to a massive and still bleeding cut that looked like it was gouged and formed by a claw, now covered and probably infected because of the mud.
Alexis was inexperienced, she had been working on her healing when this thing attacked, she had little idea of what to do other then try to find help, the problem was she had no idea where she was, or where to go to find help. As the snarls grew louder, something lunged at Alexis who jerked right and missed being forced to the ground, the rapid correction caused her to not see what was ahead, the last thing Alexis recalled was a partially broken wall of stone, one of few that remained of Kell Castle and everything went dark. Alexis woke to something tugging lightly on her arm, she immediately pulled away and screamed only to have something cover her mouth. Her eyes opened and looked to see a Fell kneeling beside her and in the process of wrapping a bandage on her arm. The remains of Castle Kell were gone and was now that of a river, some light cover of trees, and the Mountains, which fed the river meaning she was now near the border.
Rem was cut up and injured, but overall she was ok. "No need to talk kid." She waited a few moments for Alexis to calm down, then slowly removed her hand and finished tying the bandage that she had put on Alexis. 'That was strange, she didn't say anything...' Rem shook it off. "I'm not a healer like yourself, but I was able to clean it as best as I could, you'll want to look at that later, also you might want to look at your wing."
Alexis was shaken but alive, something she had to be thankful for, she tried to speak but nothing came, she tried a few times and all that came up was some mud and she started coughing fiercely and bent over and got sick. Finally noise came from her mouth and she started to shake. "Wha...t.. happ.."
"I'm not entirely sure." Rem cut her off as she washed the blood from her swords in the water of the river. "All I know is that some very mean beasts were standing over you and I fought and killed em. I brought you here so I could treat you, I hope you don't mind." Rem's words were somewhat kind but the thing on her mind was 'what is a crane this young doing out here alone?' It wasn't difficult to get the blood from her blades of and she carefully sheathed them as she got up and walked back over to the crane. "If your ok to walk we should get going...." Rem looked at Alexis who's left wing hung down while her right was in a normal position, it was probably broken, poor thing. Rem didn't wait for an answer and picked Alexis up and put her on her back. "Still can't shake how light you are to lift...."
Alexis wanted to speak, after clearing her mouth and throat finally, she had to tell someone what happened, but words just wouldn't come from her mouth, she was weak and in serious pain, had Rem not saved her she would have been dead. Her eyes were heavy and her body close to giving out, she lost consciousness several times. When she came around again, she was inside of a tent and her eyes widened as two human soldiers in full armor stood in front of the entrance and Alexis looked around and Rem was no where in sight. "Rem?" She asked quietly as she sat up. Her feet were bound and so were her hands, probably to make sure that she didn't try to heal her injuries and escape. With her left wing broken, she couldn't fly. "Rem?" Tears began to well in her eyes as one of the soldiers turned and looked inside.
The soldier grinned almost sadistically, it was shame orders were not to hurt the Avian, she was very pretty regardless of age. "So your awake freak...." The soldier removed his head from the tent. "The Crane is awake, go get the captain and inform him, and after that get that Cross kid here... he doesn't care who he heals... damn Fell loving pig.... don't see why the captain keeps him around to heal prisoners... should just let them rot! They're all freaks!" The guard went off on a rant to his buddy about how Fells and Avians were monsters.

His eyes opened up slowly as he could hear quite the bit of commotion outside of his tent. With a slight sigh he figured something was up but, it didn't sound as though they were under attack. Slowly he got to his feet and got dressed, it was probably nothing but, he wanted to check things out for himself. As he exited his tent he ran right into the guard that had been ordered to get him and he fell backward. He groaned slightly as he glanced up at what he ran into and grumbled. "Let me guess, I got some healing to do huh?" As the guard nodded he sighed again. "Never a moments rest around here." With another sigh he waved off the guard and got back up to his feet and headed toward the tent where the prisoners were.
As he reached the tent, which he took his time doing, Marcus glared slightly toward the guard who was ranting about Fells and Avians being monsters. "It doesn't matter who or what they are, everyone deserves healing when they're in need of it. If we don't treat prisoners humanely, then they're more likely to not treat their prisoners the same way. Just worry about fighting for the people your protecting, you should focus on keeping yourself alive for the ones you left behind to fight." He couldn't help smiling as he continued on into the tent where Alexis was. As he entered his eyes went a little wider seeing that it was a Crane.
Seeing the state that the Avian was in was a bit surprising cause from what he remembered, they had a pure look to them. The idea that they stayed clean all the time was unrealistic. Either way, it wasn't something you would see everyday. "A Crane, way out here, that's quite unusual, though to heal solders, that must be it." He smiled warmly and moved closer and got onto his knees and started to heal to injured Avian. His hands glowed with a gently white glow as Alexis would feel herself being healed. "I never thought I'd get to heal a Crane, I'm happy that I can finally do something in return for a Crane helping me when I was just a kid. So, what's your name? How did you get into this kinda mess, it's unusual for a Crane to cause so much trouble." Marcus was like a kid in a candy store as he was excited to be healing a Crane.

At first Alexis had been terrified that something was going to happen to her, when Marcus came in, her eyes as well grew large and she cringed and waited for something to happen. She waited for pain of some kind, which didn't come and instead felt a warm force washing over her, she knew right off it was healing, but why her? Amid his very unusual questions, Alexis didn't understand what his intentions were. "A... healer?" Alexis asked quietly with a voice that was ever so soft and gentle. "You shouldn't... waste your energy on me, healing doesn't work very well on my people..." The wound on her arm closed up, as she knew would, but as for her wing it didn't change. Sitting up Alexis looked down at the ground with her white eyes and then turned her head away slightly. "I am not one.... to make judgement on someone because of race... but I have not heard good things about humans."
Alexis couldn't figure things out, those soldiers seemed to be like the Fells described, but this person seemed to be different. So many things were running through her head, what happened last night, her master, now this human bombarding her with questions. She wasn't registering everything at the time it was mentioned, but as the questions he asked slipped into her mind, she started to feel slightly at ease. "A.. Crane helped.. you?" Alexis almost broke into a smile, although she was very young and inexperienced, one thing that all cranes knew and were one of the first things they were taught. Cranes were healers, and those they healed owed them great debts, they were people who could usually be trusted. Although she was still tied up, she felt better having someone who owed their life to a Crane, closing her eyes for a moment she opened them slowly and looked up at him. "Al..exis..." She said softly as a tear rolled down her cheek and she moved her gaze back to the floor. Who could do something to someone like this?
As if to answer her quiet question with an 'I am someone who could do this' A Human in a suit of plate armor came into the tent. "I see your already here.. marucs." It was the captain of the soldiers here, Olaf Yurden, known for the black eyepatch that covered his right eye and the scar that it mostly covered, a result of a fight with a Fell. He was from Burren and very typical of the Empire. "Marcus, if your finished being friendly with a freak, go treat another one... it was a cat who was with this... thing.... she was seriously wounded and although I'd like to let the creature die, its a prisoner thats useful to me and thats what I care about... I have a soldier watching the thing... he is to make sure you don't try to go overboard with healing it."
Alexis quivered, it was easy to tell this Human was unfriendly and if she had the ability to move, she'd have backed away. She looked at Marcus with a look that said. "Please help me!" The fear in her eyes was so easily felt. When Olaf mentioned a Fell, Alexis' attention came forth. 'Rem!' Alexis lowered her head in shame. 'She was still trying to protect me... oh Rem...'

Marcus knew that he'd be wasting energy trying to heal a Crane but, that wasn't something he cared about. If he could do any help though, he was willing to do so. At least he could close up the injures enough that Alexis wouldn't bleed to death. The wing, well there was nothing he could do about that. "I know, i just can't stop myself from helping, sorry, it's a habit. Don't worry about it, I know how humans can be, though, it's up to the person." Marcus nodded as she asked about the Crane helping him.
With a slight smile he told her about his run in with a Crane. "Yeah, when I was seven my parents were both killed by bandits and I was injured by them. Though, they gave me a chance to get away and I took it and well, I got lost in a forest and luckily I ran into a Crane. He helped me out and saved my life and then helped me find my way back to Tyre. Thanks to him I decided to becme a healer myself. I don't enjoy the fighting aspect of this war, I just want to make sure even one less person gets killed. I just want to be useful." Marcus always did what he felt was the right thing to do and he didn't like seeing this Crane in such a state. "Alexis, that's a nice name, mine is Marcus." He heard the sound of footsteps coming toward the tent. "Try to stay strong, no matter what the captain does."
That was his last words of advice before he looked toward the captain. "Yes sir, I did as much help as I could to her, though, that wing, I couldn't do anything for it. Oh, another one? Okay, I'll go heal her now then." He got up from the ground and smiled weakly toward Alexis showing that he didn't really want to go but, he needed to. Marcus wasn't exactly liked that much for always wanting to help even other races so, he didn't want to get on the captains bad side. Slowly he headed out of the tent and then headed toward the other tent. As he went inside he saw the injured Fell and proceeded to heal Rem just like he did for Alexis.

As the captain 'talked' to Alexis, Rem was barely alive when Marucs came to her aid. It took a few seconds for Rem to react, had Marcus not been lucky that Rem was on the ground, he missed having her clawed hand grab and slash his throat, an instant death for anyone. As her hand closed almost a foot away from Marcus, Rem hissed slightly and opened an eye. "Wha... damn.. human..." As most Fells, Rem was doing things that would have caused a normal human to keel over. She slowly forced herself up and held her right shoulder, which had clotted rather poorly, with her left hand. She gasped for breath, broken ribs and stab wounds, but Marcus' healing did its job and he was quickly pushed away by the guard who was watching him.
"Sympathizer!" The guard spat on Marcus. "Thats enough, Olaf said to make sure you don't heal her eno.." The guard was cut off as a hand with claws held his throat. Marcus had not healed Rem enough to keep her alive, but her instinct for survival had been in full drive when she was taken out. She was smaller then the guard, but had a foot holding the guards knee to the ground and one hand wrapped around the guards chest, her head resting on his shoulder. "b*****d.... you humans are all the same, think your..." She tightened her grip and the man started to choke. "Better then us, but you left a dangerous foe, with one..." She tightened it further and the guard was starting to struggle for his life. "Guard, a big mistake... I might be... injured..." She was about to snap his neck when the guards eyes rolled into his head and she suddenly let go and he hit the ground with a thud.
Rem coughed and fell to her knees. "s**t.. bad idea!" She held her chest and coughed up blood. "Damn.. bastards!" She growled and clenched her blood stained teeth as her vision blurred. "I.. won't be... .. prisoner.."

Marcus hadn't exactly been worried about being killed but, he did when Rem almost killed him. He laughed weakly as she started to wake up and he swollowed slightly. "I'm just trying to help here, no need to try and kill me." He mumbled to himself slightly as he had continued to heal the Fell until he was pushed away. Landing a little hard on the ground he winced slightly as he sighed a bit hearing the usual kinda comments. Though once hearing his voice get cut off he quickly turned to watch. A slight laugh escaped his lips as he watched the fell almost kill the guard before finally falling to her knees.
With a slight sigh he looked toward her. "You're going to die if you keep this up, I can't let you die willingly. Did you come here with the Crane? Alexis?. The captain is dealing with her which, isn't a very good thing. If you want to save her, well, you can't save her in your current state. They'll kill you on the spot but, despite how the treat me, I am a valuble asset. I have an idea to save her, I owe a Crane my life after all, to save Alexis, I'd do anything. If I heal you completely, take me as a hostage and you'd probably be able to save her. What do you say?" Even though he seemed to be something completely crazy to help a Fell and a Crane, Marcus knew what he was doing. He couldn't live with himself not healing anybody regardless of race. It just wasn't in him and the idea that he could pay back a Crane for saving him, it seemed like a good idea.

While Rem was in extreme pain, she couldn't believe what was going on. This human was talking about helping her escape, his past, saving a crane, using him as a hostage, it was a mess of things that made Rem glare as she coughed again. "Idiot..." She fell over and wasn't moving, although his intentions were good, Rem was close to death, not the brightest healer but at least the intentions were there.
Meanwhile Alexis was shivering with terror and cringing as Olaf removed his hand from her cheek. Her opinion on this human was that he was disgusting. The captain had talked about handing her over to some commander and she was going to be used as both a barganing chip and heal injured troops. Although she didn't have a problem helping people who were injured, the notion of being used as something to trade was not pleasing. After he left, Alexis sighed and thought about what she should do, she was no where near strong enough to break free of the ropes, and with her wing broken she couldn't fly, thankfully her magic was making sure it didn't hurt. She had probably caused the deaths of two people now, if it were not for her, maybe her master would still be alive, and Rem who tried to save her was also dead.
Alexis slowly slid herself towards a corner of the tent and pulled her legs to her chest and closed her eyes, she truly felt alone, so very alone...
