Can’t live without his Spearmint gum and is somewhat a smart mouth. He’s very relaxed and a social butterfly, but does not like Raven touching his hair. Somewhat a narcissist, but not too annoying.
History:
Katsuo was a regular kid in Area 11 in the Tokyo Settlement. He wasn’t accused of anything during his school career because he was in a very segregated school. He didn’t mind though. His charismatic smile struck many girls around his age. He held a very cocky and gentlemanly look about him, but he is still a class clown. His family was normal, his friends were normal, and his neighborhood was normal. He wanted a change of scene instead of being the class clown.
He went to an average high school as he was being his usual self. He picked up an addiction…. Spearmint gum…. It was a simple product imported from Europe but he couldn’t live without it. He is a very attentive young man and he usually watches the news and such. During his last year in high school, he would watch a lot of the technological channels showing Knightmare Frames. An intense interest developed after watching and reading so many research essays about these vast machines. However, being talented in his biology didn’t help him with that research. During his first year of college he majored in Botanical Science.
The moment he faced with an old Sutherland model from 32 years ago revived his passion from high school. When his department found an abandoned model from the botanical area, they brought it in to have the mechanical department inspect it. Katsuo however was very intrigued and started a double major. There was a familiar professor though that was in charge of the KMF research at his college. Mr. Rossario was the name….
How he became an Ace Pilot:
After the professor from his mechanical research department disappeared, Katsuo decided to take a break from the botanical department. He spent a lot of time in the research section that he was allowed to test pilot some very unimportant KMF models. He enjoyed it like a little boy in a huge toy store. After another year, he stayed within the piloting tests.
That same year, a nobleman entered his department. A handsome, silver haired man examined the students and professors. Katsuo didn’t think much about it but it turned out that he will know the man for another two years. He continued his piloting tests until another guest entered the sector…. But it was hostile. The nobleman smiled kindly at the young pilot when the wall behind him crumbled. A red KMF crashed into the testing facility and started to attack the nearby equipment. By this time the facility was evacuated.
Katsuo, being the hot head he is, charged after the advanced KMF with his…. Undeveloped unit. It didn’t last too long against the red monster. The nobleman was still standing beside the red KMF when Katsuo’s cockpit opened. The man walked over with the kind smile still engraved on his face. He was over Katsuo when he set out a very amused laugh. “How would you like to join my team, young lad?” the man said above him. Katsuo didn’t know what to say, but he agreed in confusion anyway.
He began intense training against the red pilot Raven Mikako. She was the first Ace member and was a very intense opponent. He had to face off radiation based weapons and severe reaction training. For a few months, he developed into a fine pilot.
Katsuo’s Skills
He is an offensive player on the field of battle. Mostly long range and cover action for his superiors. Meaning he is the decoy sadly. Favorite weapons are MVS and missile launcher.
Since sparring with Raven in battle and in physical combat, he is decent with hand to hand martial arts. His instructor was too enthusiastic to fight, so he caught up quickly.
