Here's mine:
1- Song of the Century = 8.5/10: Good introduction for the album. I like Billie's voice in this song. 2- 21st Century Breakdown = 7/10: It's a catchy song, it goes through different melodies throughout the song. Sort of reminds me of Jesus of Suburbia in a way. But there's something missing in this song, something to make it even better than it is right now. 3- Know Your Enemy = 6.8/10: Lyrical wise and musical wise, very repetitive. However, it has a clear message being sent out. 4- ¡Viva la Gloria! = 9/10: One of my favorite songs from the entire album. Great song to introduce Gloria. I love the tempo of the song and I love how it starts out a bit slow in the beginning then picks up the speed half way through. 5- Before the Lobotomy = 7.3/10: Love the middle part of the song, has a great beat. The beginning was slow and didn't really do it for me. 6- Christian's Inferno = 7.5/10: I actually enjoy this song. I agree with some that the tempo is very weird, but it's unique. Almost sounds like the Network in a way. I love the chorus. This song is underrated. 7- Last Night on Earth = 6.5/10: No offense to anyone, but I found this song quite boring halfway through. His voice is lovely, but the lyrics are again, very repetitive. 8- East Jesus Nowhere = 9.5/10: Fab song, from beginning to end. No further comments on this one. 9- Peacemaker = 8/10: I love the acoustic guitar in this song and I love the lyrics. 10- Last of the American Girls = 9/10: Again, this is also on of my favorite songs in the whole album. 11- Murder City = 8.8/10: I enjoy listening to this song. This is what some would call "sounds like the old Green Day" type of song. 12- ¿Viva La Gloria? (Little Girl) = 8/10: At first, I was unsure of this song. After a while, I start to like it. Sounds like a combination of a couple of my favorite songs, Misery and Blood, Sex, and Booze. 13- Restless Heart Syndrome = 7.5/10: At first, I absolutely adored this song. After listening to it closely, it started to run away from me. Billie's voice sounds beautiful along with the piano, however, this song sounds very...Coldplayish and a bit whiny. That's my opinion though. 14- Horseshoes and Handgrenades = 10/10: This is my favorite song in the entire album. I relate to the lyrics and the song is fantastic. I love it, 'nuff said. 15- The Static Age = 8/10: At first, I wasn't sure about this song. After I gave it a few more listens, I love it. The music sounds like the "old Green Day", in my opinion. 16- 21 Guns = 6.7/10: I think this song is overrated, personally. Halfway through the song, I keep thinking, when does it end? It's repetitive. On a brighter note, it has a lovely tempo and his voice is just ravishing. 17- American Eulogy = 9.5/10: This is a fantastic song! Mike sounds ******** great. He should sing more often. 'Cause I don't give a s**t, about the modern age. 18- See the Light = 8.5/10: I think this song is fantastic. The music itself is sounds like again, "the old Green Day". The lyrics however, is beautiful, for me.
Album overall: 21st Century Breakdown = 7.8/10 It's not my most favorite album by Green Day, but it has a lot of meaningful songs. This album showed how much they've grown up. I can't be certain that this album is better than American Idiot (although A.I. isn't my utmost favorite), but they did a tremendous job. I'm glad they still have their uniqueness.

Damn, this is a good idea. I'm going to have to post my review soon once my friend gets the album for me (I'm really poor right now, so my friend felt bad and pre-ordered it xd )...

Not much of a review, I mean, I'm not really explaining much other than my opinions, but it's something.
1 Song of the Century (8 ): Short, sweet, to the point. However, if you try to sing along, good ******** luck. Aside the fact that I can't sing for s**t, the way Billie Joe sings this seems to make it so a lot of people I've heard cover this end up singing parts of it too high or at a wrong tempo/pace/whatever.
2 21st Century Breakdown (8.5): At first I didn't really care too much for this song, but for some reason, I have grown really attached to it. It's got a very energetic, upbeat sound and I feel like it really pushes you into this little "world" that's established through the rest of the album.
3 Know Your Enemy (6.5): This was kind of like the Boulevard of Broken Dreams of AI for me. I didn't like it at first, and in fact, I almost hated it, but when you actually pay more attention to Tre's drumming, it gets better. You could say that he saves this song. Know Your Enemy, like BOBD, has to really grow on you. It's got a really good riff (if that's what you call it, the hell if I know) and while it is really repetitive, it's simple (in comparison to the rest of the songs), and I think that's what makes this song so good.
4 ¡Viva la Gloria! (7.5): While I consider the other Viva La Gloria better, this song is still pretty damn amazing. I think that what really hooked me into this one is when it hits the chorus and Billie Joe starts singing the lines, 'You blast your name in graffiti on the walls/Falling in broken glass and slashing through your spirits/I can hear it like a jilted crowd'. I don't really know why, but until then I'm not really too interested; however, this sort of song structure seems to come up quite a bit in this album, where the beginning is a slow, soft ballad that jumps off into something a little more, I don't know, "rock"? Still, pretty good.
5 Before the Lobotomy (10): AH! Love this song! I have to disagree with BJA, I think the beginning is beautiful. I almost makes me think of Are We the Waiting, probably because the guitar in this part sounds similar to the riff in that song. I love the way the tempo kind of speeds up when Billie Joe sings "Life before the lobotomy" and how it kind of drops down to a lower note immediately afterwards. The song kind of goes up and down, the tempo, pitch, etc. tending to change pretty frequently. However, it all fits together pretty damn well and is just freaking awesome. Yeah.
6 Christian's Inferno (7): This one seems a like something John Roecker and the Network would produce. It's not really my favorite, and I don't really care too much for the chorus, but it's very interesting. Yep, nothing much to say here. xD I do like the lyrics, for the most part, though.
7 Last Night on Earth (6.5): Despite the fact that is a slow, sappy love ballad, there are some instrumental parts that really give this song much more appeal. Plus, the lyrics are sweet; as for the storyline (whatever storyline that is), it definitely verifies the unity between Christian and Gloria. My reviews are getting worse! Hahaha!
8 East Jesus Nowhere (8.5): The minute this song comes up, you know it's going to be one of those loud, energetic songs; and it definitely does not disappoint. I really must admit I love it's little knock on religion, and that low, "scream" Billie Joe holds at the end is pretty crazy. He's definitely got a good set of lungs.
9 Peacemaker (8.5): This song immediately reminds me of a band up in Reno called Cobra Skulls (not that that's a bad thing AT ALL wink ). I love the sort of "exotic" type of theme that goes throughout this song, it could definitely fit in with Nimrod if they were to switch songs around on their albums.
10 Last of the American Girls (7.5): I think this song is very well-suited for Gloria, and I recommend listening to this song in the morning. It's got that sort of sound. I like how, in the beginning, it almost sounds gritty, like it's begin played on a small radio. You definitely kind of get the song once you hear the first couple of notes.
11 Murder City (10): Okay, maybe I'm a little biased, but this song is ********! Hands down. >) Love it, love it, LOVE IT.
12 ¿Viva La Gloria? (Little Girl) (8.5): The beginning seems a little cliche and cheesy, but once you hear the rest of the song, you end up realizing that the beginning was most certainly necessary to jump off the whole power-rock-whatever hell you call it thing. This definitely reminds me of Cobra Skulls as well, though I'm not completely sure why. Very good music here. >)
13 Restless Heart Syndrome (7): Funny enough, I was kind of the same way as BJA with this song. Really good at first, but it fades with time. It's a very slow, somewhat calm, song, but the lyrics and chorus/build up help it from being a song that you automatically skip over every album listen. I think it's just the first few verses that are a little too, to quote BJA, "Coldplayish." On the other hand, this song is very beneficial in the whole tying-the-songs-together aspect, as it does make plenty of references to other songs. I also like what this song is actually about. 3nodding
14 Horseshoes and Handgrenades (8.5): A very Foxboro Hot Tubs, dance-all-over-the-place-like-a-dumbass, kind of song. This one is very upbeat and energetic, despite the fact that it's kind of a "rage" sort of song. A pretty fun listen; seems like an amazing song to hear live.
15 The Static Age (8 ): The first time I heard this I immediately became bored. This song actually isn't THAT bad. It's a pretty good song, but it's nothing in comparison to the rest of the songs on 21CB. The lead up to the chorus is pretty cool, with the way Billie Joe sings a word and then there's a couple fast strums.
16 21 Guns (9.5): When I first heard this song, it was on SNL before I had ever heard anything except for Know Your Enemy. With that established, this song just blew me away. This sounds dramatic, but it's true: my jaw literally dropped; this song is so...wow. There's just a lot of power in it, even if the CHORUS is played consistently in the song. However, it's not like this is the only album where Green Day is repetitive. Almost all of their songs repeat things. That's apart of the band's music. >: However, if you do torture yourself with MTV or watch those damn Rock Band ads (hate those stupid games), it does kind of take away from the song itself. So please, listen to this song without any prejudice. x3
17 American Eulogy (10): AH! I am going to piss myself when they play this at the Vegas show (they better keep it on the set list!)...I absolutely LOVE this song. I think, honestly, that this song saved the album. Not that the album was lacking a ton, but American Eulogy gave it a hell of a lot more energy. The transition between Mass Hysteria and Modern World goes so well, and the minute part two of this song comes up, you know you're in for something really ******** good. This is definitely the best vocal performance Mike has ever given in this band so far, and I agree with BJA on this one; he definitely needs to sing more. Not only is the instrumental/vocal aspect of this song extremely well composed, but the lyrics are too. The minute you hear it, you just...get it. This, I believe, is much more of an anthem type song than Know Your Enemy. Hell, this song alone kicks the rest of the album's a**. >: Okay, maybe that's an overstatement, but this is definitely a favorite of mine.
18 See the Light (8 ): A beautiful exit for a beautiful album, See the Light, I believe, is what makes this album so damn addicting since it never actually ENDS. Unlike American Idiot's Whatsername (not that these two should be compared; contrary to media belief, these two albums are almost nothing alike except for the fact that they're currently the "new Green Day" and have character names in them), which ends with a definite "The End" strum, See The Light keeps the music going in your head without it actually doing so. This song really puts everything else into perspective and gets you paying much more attention to the lyrics, and, needless to say, the faded piano is an excellent touch. I don't think this song, or the album (yes I know I'm being repetitive), could have ended better.
Album Score (avg) = 8.2
Yes, I have a big soft spot for Green Day. xd Talk about biased.

Duck Lumps I loved that album. I think it's definitely one of their best. OMFG American Eulogy....Mike needs to have some more singing parts. I ******** s**t over him, man. <3 I agree. ******** beautiful album. It pisses me off when people continue to go on about Dookie, even now, wanting them to have that same sound again. I mean, don't they realize that each and every album is not the same, and never has been? I mean, 1039 and Kerplunk were similar in sound, but after that...each record they've released has had its own unique sound, and that's what keeps Green Day so damn addictive for me. If they took 5 years to release another Dookie, I'd be ******** pissed. Not that I don't like that album, but come on, I don't want the same s**t again and again and again. D< To want the same ******** album makes no sense to me. Enjoy that one, because if they made a carbon-copy, it'd lose its charm. If people love Dookie that badly, then they should just by a second ******** copy. xd I'm rambling, don't even remember what I was talking about. Anyways... I love this side of Green Day; to me, the music sounds very genuine and close to heart, like the kind of music that bands should be releasing, not this ******** scene kid bullshit screamo that everyone keeps bashing their heads away to. Yes, there are more ballads, but it just shows that Green Day isn't artistically limited, and that they can in fact beat past their own standards. I'd love to be that talented.
