skating my 2nd pair of vans they and both seem like below average shoes... the sk8 Hi i had before was like paper thin and hurt my feet really bad to land on. it seemed more like a pair of converses.
now im tryin vans again i got some caballero highs and they are really stiff and not comfortable at all to skate in. were already scuffing after about 20 minutes of skating. it seems like the only thing going for their shoes are the outsoles it seems grippier and like it would last longer. other than that they are uncomfortable and the toecap tear hella fast. i cant speak for the low tops but vans really suck at making high tops. atleast theyre cheap.
what do u guys think about there shoes

I have those Trooper (Iron Maiden) slip-on Vans. The grip wears down easy, they get holes easy, and the hurt like a b***h when you don't land a 5-stair or bigger. Other than that they're nice though.

red_black14 the good thing about vans are they're cheap to skate in And its better than wearing good shoes like supras or emericas 2 sk8 in eh id way rather skate supra high tops than vans high tops... more expensive but i think it is worth it. supras are more comfortable on my feet, the toecap lasts longer, and i get better board feel. i get what ur sayin tho if i only had one clean pair of supras and a pair of cheap vans to skate id rather shred up the cheap ones and keep the nice ones clean.

Thats not entiarly true, vans dont rip up that easy, I've has these slip ons for almost 2 years and still in good condition, I do agree with you though you cant really move your ancles in vans high-tops or any high-tops exept for converse

I've never skated in hi-tops I've always been a low kind of guy when it comes to Vans.. But I find that there great to skate in, you kind of have to get used to the little bit of concave they have in the waffle sole of the shoe (if you get ones with the waffle sole)..
You maybe talking about a vulcanized shoe, that means it's just glued on there, and 9 out of 10 they go to s**t reallllly fast..
I've had that happen with my Circas loads of times..
I suggest going with a waffle sole, and look for something with triple stitching in the toe...
World Industries makes a good shoe, and I've heard a lot of good things about Airspeeds..
I hope this helps you in someway bro', good luck man...
