Bio:
Meyer's life starts in the capital city of Evalon, Twilhaven. Born into a lesser noble family that served Twilhaven's monarch, the Sovereign, as his champions. Meyer wasn't an exactly healthy child, he suffered from a minor case of tuberlocus. But this illness didn't get in the way of his grandfather's fencing training, Meyer idolized the man he had left to call family.
His father wasn't fond of him, never showed his affection like his grandfather did. As for the boy's mother, she left the Gales manor in search of adventurer and to get away from her husband's cruel hold over Twilhaven's guard company.
His mother's letters from her travels did spark his dreams and hopes of joining her in the clouds and skies, sailing in airships like she had been doing so. While his grandfather's tech journals would give him the motivation to do greater things than just fighting for the Sovereign. He would become an adventurer, or so he thought.
Season's past turning into years, Meyer grew up into a young respectable noble of Twilhaven's houses. He would ask for piloting lesson from the traders along the port whenever he had vacation time, and soon enough he was a great pilot within half a decade. But all his free time wasn't just dedicated to soaring the clouds. He put much research and study into his other developing talents by creating small gadgets and devices, while hiding them from his disapproving father.
He had mastered his swordplay, very few of the other houses could match him in duels, his fencing art was just way above them. He had suffered the lost of his grandfather when he stood up to his father. Lucius Gales drew his saber out of his own father's, Mayen Gales, ribcage on the roof of their villa. Young Meyer witnessed it from returning from his officer academy. Ever since that day, he had ran from home, his city was slowly corrupting underneath it's once pure sovereign's nose and he just couldn't bare it any longer.
So from cutting all ties to his noble blood, Meyer snuck aboard the first air barge leaving Twilhaven's port, it's destination; Prometheus City.
It was here Gales was to start his new life, sadly it hadn't gone as planned. He had gotten himself into trouble with some foul locals, which he was to quick to draw his blade on. The conflict ended with some help by a lone man, Meyer's first friend in Prometheus and current head master of the Aura Academy, Belfiar Le'Minz. Gales took an instant liking to Le'minz and even accepted his offer to accompany him on his new academy's progress, serving him as professor. It was the least he could do for Belfair, since he gave him purpose once more.
Talents:
-Despite his weak and frail appearance, Meyer has quite the agile and graceful step, as well of a very defensive style.
-He is masterfully skilled in the art of fencing and dueling, though his illness has him to limit the time he can excel in activity that puts stress on his weak body. If he was to duel for extended periods of time, his illness flares up and makes him cough up blood.
-He's very adapt and precise with his hands, using his research of technology to invent small devices to aid the common adventurer.
-Finally, he is very charismatic and tends to serve as a brilliant negotiator in hated conflicts around others.
Areas of Interest:
As mentioned, Gales loves all things technology and science, mostly Aviation devices;Airships for example. He can sometimes be found in the labs working on small devices that he believes would benefit the average adventurer.
As for anything traditional, Meyer prefers graceful swordplay over brutal gun fights. He believes a duel should have a more of a personal conflict with clashing blades, not to be hastily blown away by a bullet. Also he loves the art styles of any culture, new or old anything foreign to him.
Armament:
-His ornate masterwork rapier handed down to him by his grandfather, the only thing he treasures more than adventuring. This beautiful blade is always at his waist unless teaching a class or resting in his study.
-A set of throwing knives, one strapped in his boot while the other hides
behind his waist. Rarely uses these, only for mid ranged duels against hostels
-Small devices he has built, maybe a smoke screen emitter to blind his opponents or to get away from a battle he can't win. Or a whipcord attached to a grappling hook to swing down towards his foes.
But most of inventions aren't exactly intended to be used for combat intentions.
