Ikuto told the animals to look for something out of the ordinary, or for a teenage girl with long black hair and special powers. He had to speak simply, because, though the animals were intelligent, their languages had limited vocabulary. Then as the animals dispersed, he looked about him too. "Which way?" He asked. "Eeny meeny pitsa teeny." he said the choosing rhyme while pointing at east, south, north and west, which her stopped on. "Thataway."

Tess laughed. "Okay!" She walked the way he pointed. She wondered where the hell she had brought them and was quite embarassed. What if they were millions of miles away from where Anna was? Her mind wandered. Where is Anna? What, did she just magically forget who she was and went to some deserted area? Tess sighed and trudged onward into total nothingness before glancning back at Ikuto and shrugging.

Ikuto took Tess' hand as they walked, shooting her a reassuring smile. "We'll find her." he said. Two animals, some kind of predatory birds, were zooming back at them already. The smaller of the two arrived first and perched on Tess' head. Ikuto translated. "It says there's a girl sitting on her own, painting or sketching or something further westaways. That sounds like Anna." Ikuto knew Anna loved to be alone while she painted. The other bird reached them by now, and flapped itself in front of them to hover. "Another girl, with a kid with white hair and clothes, south-ish." he frowned a little. "I wonder if that could mean Jack. There's not many kids with white hair.." he shrugged, looking at Tess. "Which one shall we choose?" Ikuto knew himself to be too indecisive to choose. And he trusted Tess to make a good guess.

Tess sighed and lifted her bangs off of her forehead with one of her hands. She thought for a second. She didn't care much for Jack, unfortunately for him. But Ace would get mad if he heard that Tess and Ikuto had a chance to find his little brother and didn't bring him back. She looked the way she thought was south and the way she thought was west. "We'll have to split up. You find Anna-you know her better than I do. I'll find Jack." She smiled sadly up at Ikuto, not wanting to leave him but knowing it was for the best. Suddenly she grinned at him and said, "Meet me back at St. Servatus-that is, if you can find your way back." She teased. Quickly, she kissed his check and ran off toward the south.

Ikuto smiled, knowing how she didn't want to go - he felt the same. But he nodded, and started walking to the west, looking at Tess' retreating figure occasionally over his shoulder. He wondered if he should get a bird or something to go with her, so it could come tell him if she got in trouble, but thought it might seem a bit overprotective. Instead, he neko'd and started running swiftly westward,

Anna frowned. "Who's Anna? And who are you?" she crawled out of the bush and knelt back, looking up at Jack, conufsed and curious. She looked totally unlike her usual self - vulnerable, kneeling, and completely out of her depth. It was almost a different person.

Tess trekked onward, kicking up sand as she went. She let her head hang back and she let out a moan. She couldn't describe how bored she was at the moment. She regretted her decision to leave Ikuto. She walked until her legs were in pain. Tess sat on a big rock, sighed and looked around. In the distance, she saw two figures- people. Suddenly overjoyed she ran toward them.

Anna looked up as a girl ran towards them. She flinched, and edged back, looking scared. She cowered half behind the bush, shivering, her hair falling out of her braid to fall into her eyes and across her cheeks.

As Tess neared them she yelled, "Jack! Jeez, I finally found you." She stopped in front of him and panted. She wiped a drop of sweat off of her forehead with her arm. "What are you doing?" She looked over to see Anna. "Anna?" Tess asked. "What are you doing. Aren't you...?" She grew silent. "Oh no...if Anna's here...then who is Ikuto going after?" In her mind, she was freaking out-since her boyfriend was looking for someone who was somewhere else.
