To most people sleeping in a tree all night would be scary and stupid. However, Alexander Green was not like most people, heck he wasn't even like the sibblings in his cabin.
While most Demeters simply enjoyed nature and the wild as a hobby, Alex on the other hand was in love with it. He enjoyed the simplicity of the survival of the fittest mentality and reveled in the idea of the Wild.
That was why this particular young man was now fast asleep about two stories off the ground, and that is also why when he shifted his weight in his sleep he fell almost two stories, right onto his head.
"OOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW!!!!!" the yell was likely the loudest thing that Alex had ever exclaimed and probably ever would.

Glancing up from her work, Bennie looked around the forest as she heard a loud scream. She pulled a cover over the pastel work and locked her tools back in their box. With a short step, Bennie was off the old stone pavilion in the West forest and off to the direction she'd heard the scream. At the speed she ran, Bennie had made her way across the forest in easily fifteen minutes and had been listening carefully for anything that might surprise her.
Her fingers danced to the dagger that was hidden underneath her dress. She'd managed to tear the sundress on a bush on her run over here, campers in distress were never left alone if she could help it. Bennie's bright green eyes danced around the forest floor, the trees thinner and more spread out here. Then, just where the forest began to thicken, she saw someone sprawled out in the grass. She crept towards him, walking on the balls of her bare feet, almost complete silent as she approached. She saw no monsters near and as she drew closer, she recognized the boy as a Demeter kid, but couldn't place his name. Seeing no danger, she returned her dagger to its rightful place and skipped to him.
"You ok?" She smiled sweetly down at him and held out a hand, using the other to pull her thin black hair over a pale exposed shoulder. "Did you fall or something?" Running her eyes over him, Bennie took in the appearance of this rugged and worn camper; his mussy bedhead-like chestnut colored hair, the dirt smudged on his hands, and even the tatters in his clothes that said he skipped his lessons to romp around the forest.

Andrew's vision was hazy at first, but gradually his eyes focused and he managed to make out the image of the young woman looking down upon him. The sun was directly behind her head from Andrew’s current perspective so he could barely make out her face.
Blinking to get rid of the last bit of dizziness, the Half-blood male looked around slightly before taking the young woman’s hand to help hoist himself up into a sitting passion with a slight groan. Also because of the pain in his head it took him several moments to figure out that the girl was talking to him and only after she repeated herself did he catch on to what she was saying.
“Yeah… Fall… I think,” at this point Andrew smiled and went to scratch the back of his head in embarrassment, only to find that his hair was slightly matted from blood. Looking at his bloody fingertips he said, “That… Can’t be good…”

"Let's get you to the Big House. Some ambrosia and nectar will fix you right up." She leaned down and got a firm grip on each of his upper arms then lifted him to his feet. "Are you ok to walk?" Bennie had a natural maternal instinct, that often kicked in when she was faced with someone injured. It was odd, she didn't really know this camper, yet she cared.

Drowsily, and a little unsteadily at first, Andrew gained his footing. He nodded and smiled, seeming to recover a bit. Then, suddenly, he passed out.
((concussions suck razz ))

With a yelp, Bennie collapsed with her fellow camper. Furious with herself, she glared at the unconscious body laying next to where she sat. With a sigh, the young daughter of Hera looked up at the tree with pleading eyes, "Want to get your friends to pass him off to the Big House?" The dryad molded from the tree and glared at Bennie with a unimpressed gaze, then lifted Andrew and passed him down the row of dryads. They handed him off to the Big House as Bennie arrived and she smiled at Chiron, "He fell out of a tree. Then he passed out. It looks like a concussion. And he has a gash on the back of his head, I didn't see it, so I'm unaware of it's severity." With a nod, the old Centaur took care of Andrew quickly then nudged him awake. Sleeping with a concussion was a bad idea.

Andrew felt like he was floating on clouds, it was a very good dream, probably the best he had ever had. The half-blood diddn't ever want to wake up.
That was before a certain centaur woke him up and shattered not only the dream but the memory of it as well. "Oowwww," Andrew moaned as he returned to consuisness. His voice was deep but also ever so slightly nasally.
((damn realized I never describbed his voice.. not really plot vital but still I hate leaving out details))

"Morning sleeping beauty." Bennie laughed as he seemed pained to open his eyes. "You took a hard fall."
Chiron strode to the door and then looked back at Bennie, "Wake him if he falls asleep again. Once his headache is gone he can leave."
Sitting next to his bed, Bennie smiled gently at the Demeter half-blood, "We never got to introduce ourselves. I'm Bennie. But you can call me Ben. That was some fall you had, huh?"

"Fall?" he bairly seemed to remember, that is untill a flash of recognition went across his face, "Oh! Ow...." he hand went instinctively to his head, where he found the medical wrapping that Chiron had bound his head in.
"I'm Andrew. Not Andy, Andrew. I swear to the gods, the next person to call me Andy is going to find out what happens when you eat Poison Ivy. Ow.." He said this as he pushed himself up and the "ow" was from the twing of pain that shoot through his head as his voice escalated.

"Well then, Andy, you're in no condition to be force-feeding anyone poison ivy right now." A small laugh escaped her as she pulled her hair back into a pony tail and off her shoulders. "So, Andy, how's your head? I have to babysit your sorry a** until you feel better." She placed a gentle hand on Andrew's, smiling sweetly as she met his eyes.

Pure anger flashed in Andrew's eyes and he seemed ready to go on the attack, that is untill Bennie touched him and then things just got really complicated for him. He face went from complete contempt and rage to total confusion.
Andrew blinked serveral times as if trying depratly to make sense of his current situation, "What... in Hades... Okay.. Why am I not angery...?"

A broad smile crossed Bennie's face, her eyes bright. "I've no idea what you're talking about, Andy." She stood then, "If your headache is gone, I'd like it if we could go walking." She still held his hand softly in her's, still smiled sweetly, and still kept a maternal instinct open.

Andrew blinked, the confusion happened agian at the mention of the not so fond nickname of his but then after a momment it passed and he nodded. Such strange things had happened today, he figured, that it was normal to be slightly confused about how he felt about everything.
Besides why should a 16 year old be mad when he had a cute girl to hang out with?

She helped him from his bed, giving a slight tug to his arm to help him off it, then steadying him as he stood. Bennie's eyes met his again and she let another smile break her features. "You won't pass out this time, right?"

"I think that was just from standing up to fast..." Andrew muttered his reply, like he was embarrassed, "So, do we have a destination in mind?"
Andrew seemed to be more tense than he had been when he was in the forest, like he thought that the walls might just close in on him.
