Appearance: Has a slim, willowy body structure, and appears more fragile than she actually is -- though that might be in part due to the way Rowena handles herself. Around the school she dresses in the academy ladies' uniform, although the skirt has been lengthened down to just above her knees. Casual wear gravitates towards dresses, skirts, and hoodies.

Personality: Most would describe the princess as composed and demure. She displays an inclination to think before she speaks, making for well-chosen words, and the semantics of which would reveal her feelings regarding what she is talking about. She is a nice enough person to most, if not a little distant to those less than close friends due to her standing, even though she herself does not think much of it. Her quiet smiles and dignified expression sometimes makes it difficult to know what she's really thinking, and herself as a whole. She's also rather intelligent, and although her full capability has never been seen, it has been known that it does not merely extend to book knowledge.
That said, and despite the veneer of effortlessness at which she executes her actions, Rowena is rather hard on herself. Not knowing something is a feeling she does not enjoy, and she knows that she needs to be valuable to the empire so as not to be used as a political pawn.

History: Rowena was born as the 32nd Princess of the Holy Empire of Britannia, on the year 2026 atb. She was the only child of Beatrice fil Britannia, and as custom, had been separated from her mother at an early age. Her care was delagated to govenesses and servants, and her education was, for the most part, seen to by private tutors. During that time until Rowena was 15 years of age, there had been communication between her and her mother, leading to the stiff politeness with which they speak to each other in the years that followed.
The princess was by far closer to her siblings in comparison. Due to her mature disposition, she got along fairly well with most of her older siblings, and showed interest in the younger ones' well-beings. However, they were scattered all over the world and were virtually competitors, so meetings had been brief at best. Rowena isn't even sure if she had met all of her siblings yet.
It was fortunate that Rowena had been born into a relatively peaceful time. She had been free to pursue her studies without interruption, and, as someone nowhere near taking the throne in the succession line, did not need to prove herself by engaging herself in the military workings. However, she soon realized that not being of importance to Britannia -- as someone who actually did something, not merely in a position of power by birthright -- placed her in danger of becoming a political tool. She was a princess, after all. Someone who could be married away for alliances without detriment to the Empire. That she was of royal birth, well-mannered, and learned was not enough, hence she went into the study of politics and military strategies.
She was around 14 when she started learning how to handle a sword. It was harsh training for the princess, and some were led to believe that it had been nothing but fooling around, but Rowena took it seriously. Up to date she had never actually drawn her sword with intention to combat, but she thinks she would be able to, when the time comes. She has also studied the basic operation of a Knightmare frame, but, like her swordhandling and study of strategy, it has never been put into practice.
With the disturbance strarting once again, Rowena had requested to be transferred to Area 11, enrolling into a formal school for the first time. She entered as a fourth year student, assuming the name Rowena Vanelli.
