Sanctuary is the home of the Angels drifting in the clouds of Earth, often referred to as Heaven. Wrong, but close. One cannot actually see the world less one comes from the world of angels, the world of Heaven itself. Each world, even Hell, has a Sanctuary built by God/Raziel in order to keep his "all-seeing eyes" on every world. Planes can move through it with ease as it exists on another plain, though can become solid for short amounts of time. During those times, reality is warped to make it look as if nothing like a gigantic crystal kingdom is floating in the sky. At such times, only angelic blood may enter less they wish to be forced away with a shock wave and pumped full of a blissful poison meant to make someone experience "Bliss" or "Paradise."
