This thread exists to help people follow the many storylines that may be progressing simultaneously in the Guild. It consists of a sequence of summaries of major events in the roleplay, produced collaboratively by all members.

The first post of the thread is the complete timeline, which includes events leading up to the roleplay and which will summarize major events once the roleplay gets underway. I will work to maintain the timeline by including those events which I think are significant. If there is something that another member feels should be included, that member should post in this thread the entry or entries he or she wishes to add. I will then copy the post into the timeline.

Note on Dates:
For the sake of continuity, all dates should be in the form of DD/MM/YYYY using the IPU (Inter-Planetary Union) Calendar which distinguishes Pre-Founding (PF) and Foundation Era (FE) with the divide being 0, the time of the formation of the Hall of Co-Aligned Independent Planets and the IPU. (ooc: Except for the year, it's the same as our modern Western calendar.)

Timeline


c. 10,000 P.F.
The Djin emerge as one of the first spacefaring races.
Advent of GN Technology
Djin sail the cosmos, exploring much of the known universe

c. 9927 P.F.
Construction of a Djin Homeworld commences.

21/4/ 9753 P.F.
Djin Planet of Aurora completed.
Official founding of the Djin Noocracy.

c. 9750 P.F.
Djin First Contact with the Dread.
Mandate of Heaven dictated by The Powers. Authority over all territories under which the Dread could rule is given to the Djin. Djin charged with stomping out the Dread, and other agents of the Daemons.

9749-5545 P.F.
The War in Heaven: Djin v. The Dread. Several planets and burgeoning civilizations lost in the fire.

2/9/5545 P.F.
V-Day. The final consciousness of the Dread is trapped in a supermassive Black Hole. The Djin begin the reconstruction of the Universe, taking up the position of Stewards.

4000 P.F.
Reconstruction ends. From this point on, the Djin guard civilizations from space, making themselves known as soon as said civilization is capable of interplanetary travel.

2000 P.F.
Formation of the Unified Empire of the Mirai

5/4/1563 P.F.
Djin First Contact with the Mirai.

1000 P.F. - 750 P.F.
The Orai Uprising and ensuing war leading, eventually, to the formation of an independent Orai nation.

500 P.F.
Foundation of the Konigserker Republic

0030 P.F.
Mirai first contact with the Konigserker Republic and the placement of a Mirai Stargate on the Konigserker homeworld.

15/2/0000 F.E.
Founding of the Hall of Co-Aligned Independent Planets

With the advent of the Hall, the Djin begin a massive scale-back of their military, leaving most of their force to exploration and patrols.

2/8/0000 F.E.
Citizens of Panacea Nostrum gain independence to form the Inter-Planetary Union as a true democracy using advanced telecommunications technology.

1/12/0010 F.E.
Sarras Miklagarther declares war on the Konigserker Republic.

30/11/0017 F.E.
Official surrender of Sarras Miklagarther to the Konigserker Republic.

0019 F.E.
Commission of the K.R.S. Basilisk, the first Carrier/Cruiser of the Konigserker Republican Navy.

0020 F.E.
Official end of the Konigserker campaign on Sarras Miklagarther, though military action on the planet continues.

The Renegade Fleet migrates through known space, splintering and leaving behind settlements. About 80% of the Renegade population settles on Sarin IV, a sparsely populated but habitable world close to Panacea Nostrum. Sarin IV is renamed Newhaven by the Renegades, who land and begin to build. The local government is powerless to stop them and becomes somewhat of a puppet state.

0021 F.E.
Dimer Morcel commands the Blue Hell, a new and unique Mirai exploratory vessel given a high degree of independence from the Lord Mirai. Clearly, Dimer has his own agenda.

0022 F.E.
Djin return from nigh-isolationism with newer ships and conflicting messages of peaceful observance and benevolent dominion. Rumors of an internal power struggle abound.

Capt. Thomas McNeill of the Konigserker Republican Army is assigned to anonymously acquire Stargates for the Republic in their new campaign to colonize nearby habitable worlds for resources.

The Randir Council send their first diplomat to Panacea Nostrum. They have an unknown number of vessels roaming the galaxy, not all of them under the Council's control.
Those that are under the Council's control are sent to establish trade with any worthy business partners.

The Randir Craftworld, their closest thing to a home planet, is hidden in barren space somewhere in the galaxy.

A massive explosion shakes Panacea Nostrum. In the aftermath, it is determined to be an attack on the planet's Stargate, though no one has claimed responsibility. As chaos ensues, the Djin appear to render assistance.
