Hello people!
Wouldn't it be the awesomest thing ever if SD became an anime? I think that the series has such good potential to be a great one, and plus it would promote SD enough so that people can actually realize it exists... sweatdrop
It's really sad that so many people don't know about it. Seriously. crying It really is the best manga...

SD as an anime = heaven on earth heart
It would be sooo great... even if it would be risky.
It would all depend on who the director was, and the voice actors. (Maybe they could get the same director from loveless and Monochrome Factor. Loveless and SD kinda have the same shiny feeling... sweatdrop ) If they kept at least fairly well to the plot, it would also be harder to ruin.
It just has the hugest potential to be a really, really great anime (especially now that stuff like Junjou Romantica are over, and people are looking for new animes)!
But I am afraid of the chances of that happening... how many people actually know about the awesomeness that is SD? crying

it would be an anime you have to do right or else you might ruin the whole thing for anime with it

Yeah, if they can just be careful and do the right things, it'll be super popular!
They just have to stay clear of cheap voice actors, avoid fillers, don't be stingy on music or animation, and so on, and they will have a killer series.
I know I'd buy it! heart

Though, I doubt they would turn it into an anime. Just 'cause not many Shounen Ai series get made into animes. ;__;
But, perhaps an OAV? Oh, gosh. >__<;;;
But, I'd also be afraid of the anime ruining the manga. I hate when that happens. :<
But still...
Rakan and Chigusa animated... <333!!!

Yes! If anyone's ever seen Loveless, I can imagine that Silver Diamond, as an anime, would have the same soft feel and animation. But you are right Aoara, they might not animate it just 'cause of the risk that it's BL...
Dangit! But the BL fanbase has gotten so huge!
And I can imagine Chigusa having such a sexy voice... crying
But, even an OVA would still be so great!
Has anyone heard of anything else coming out for SD though? Sometimes there are things like Drama CDs..

I know, the fanbase for BL is quite large. But, you know, they want stuff that sells and all that grand junk. ;___;
GAH! Chigusa's voice. Dear me, I would hyperventilate, I swear.
Hmm... I haven't heard anything, but Drama CD's would be amazing!!! :>

I actually think that the director of Yami no Matsuei or perhaps Kyo Kara Maoh! might do well with the series. Yami no Matsuei has such beautiful artwork, and there is great expression in the eyes of the characters--something that Shiho portrays very, very well in her works.
Kyo Kara Maoh! does an excellent job with casting voice actors to suit the images of the characters. I also find myself reminded of Yuri every time Rakan stands up for people or enforces good principles. Rakan and Yuri have that same lovely sense of justice and kindness which, in my mind, makes them both so popular. KKM also has that amazing twisty storyline where surprises await at every turn. SD has been proving to be similarly twisty.
Over all, I would love to see an anime of this series, but only if it was done right.

Yami no Matsuei was awsomely done and it was about quality instead of quantity there so if they did Silver Diamond i would so be in love

Give it a try..I mean who knows..Not alot people know about SD ..so maybe who knows how far it can go..So far I like the manga..like to see how it will go for anime.. 3nodding

it would be awesome if SD did become an anime i stumble upon it when i was doing research for the library to add to our collection, and i also found it in borders and own all four of them XD it would be awesome if Yuki kajiura did it theme song song she is an awesome singer XD
