Gianette is thin but muscular, with lean muscles formed after years of self taught martial arts training. She has an angular bob haircut, brunette, and regularly dyes the hair framing her face a bright purple. She has several scars across her body and one on her face directly below her left eye. Her eyes are a light, gray blue with green flecks. She has freckles across her nose and wears a pair of black wire rim glasses. She tends to wear purple and black, but every so often puts on some bright pink or electric blue. Her preferred style is Romantigoth, and she wears many layered skirts and corsets.
Bio:
Gianette, or Gian (pronounced Jean) is the daughter of Claudio D'Amato and Shannon Bryne, a divorced couple. Shannon divorced Claudio when Gian was 3, to escape his abusive behavior before it extended from her to his daughter. She raised Gian alone for 7 years, taught her history, literature and art, teaching her to be open to her creativity and not to let anything hold her back. Gian had an abnormally high IQ and was often teased in school for it. When she was 10, her mother died, and she was forced to move in with her father, whom she'd had almost no contact with since her parent's divorce. He was alright for about a year, but then he began to show the earlier signs of abusive behavior. As the years passed, it escalated. By 13, Gian was teaching herself martial arts and spending as much time as possible away from home. At age 16 one of her neighbors reported a domestic disturbance and her father was found guilty of domestic abuse. She was sent into the foster care system and spent 6 months in the system before Aura Academy picked her up for her high IQ and creative tendencies. Gian is a walking contradiction of herself, changing her character so often it's hard to figure out who she really is until you get to know her. She is both introverted and extroverted, a lover and a fighter. She is hard to get to know, but will die protecting the ones she loves.
Talents:
Gian is first and foremost an artist, preferring the older, more sophisticates styles, such as those seen during the Renaissance. She hates modern art with a passion. She is highly intelligent, something she despised when in public school but is glad of now that she is no longer a freak because of it. She is a skilled martial artist.
Areas of Interest:
Art, history and literature. Gian also likes studying mythology and the supernatural, but it's more of a side interest.
Armament:
Gian prefers fighting with her fists and feet, but in case of an emergecy keeps a small knife on her at all times, with an adjustable strap so that she can fit it to any part of her body depending on how accessable she wants it and what she is wearing.
