What say we open a stump the expert thread. New members can read past questions and come up with new ones to test the experts limits. If Ledlin and NoLifeKing66 are willing we can have a resident vampire expert and UFO expert. Later other residents could trail in to fill in gaps for Fay, which and Demon lore. Once in a while we can give prizes for excellent questions. Prehaps a hall of fame to keep record of all the great questionnaires and questions.

That sounds interesting... we also have a "witch" expert... can you run the idea by her as well? I was thinking of assigning specific subforms to specific individuals.... if anyone is interested in running your own subforum, let me know smile

I'm all for a "Stump the Expert" idea, but how would we give out prizes? To people who ask questions to which the designated expert does not know the answers? Or to people who know the answers that the designated expert doesn't? The latter case would never work unless the designated expert had the distinct privilege of being the first person to answer any and all questions, and that wouldn't be any fun for any other guild members.
That being said, I could manage the Vampire subforum, but I'm still wondering if having a subforum for each type of occult creature is a good idea. If you decide to keep the Vampire subforum, I would gladly manage it.

Is Autumn Fyhr our resident expert on witches?
Now one may answer a question designated for the expert. Only questions designated to the expert may receive prizes. When the expert decides they are running the contest there contest rules apply. When a contest is not in session well anything you see such as, a particularly amusing question, could warrant some sort of prize. We can decide what warrants a legal question ahead of time in the post rules. Unanswerable questions like "what was Vlad's favorite ________ before he was a vampire" or " Do aliens prefer Coke a cola or Pepsi," might be considered unanswerable.

Of course. On the other hand this should be a fun game. We don't necessarily want to hound the questioners. Though there should be some difficulty stumping the experts I would hope that it isn't impossible. Which begs the question what rules must the occult resident experts abide by?

I'm definetly all for that. I would love to be the resident expert on ufo. I haven't noticed any ghost subforums I figure that would be cool. If possible I think we should set up a forum for people to wrote about their "TRUE" experinces with the paranormal(ie., ufo sightings, ghost, fairy, occult experience, ouiji boards, channeling, whatever) considering what this guild is about. But I guess that would be up to Eiko. What do you guys think?

That makes since. Sharing experiences is what guilds are all about. I can see this topic being placed well in the member related sub form provided we agree on a sub form make over.
