I am a Catholic Pro-Lifer. I don't really see how relevant this is, though. What does it matter if you're Catholic and Pro-Life?
Because more and more American Catholics are becoming progressive?
I'm Catholic and pro-life as well.
He's a grumpy old man. A lovely grumpy old man, but still.
I think what he means is that this isn't really news or about anything in particular that goes into the main forum. I'm going to leave this here for a few days so people have a chance to find out where to find this thread, but I'm eventually moving it to the general discussion subforum. That's more hangout-y and I think a better place for this thread. It's the subforum at the very top of the list in the guild forum section.
You are very right though. The younger Catholics are getting more involved with the pro-life movement, and it's heartening (I'm Catholic and Pro-life as well, there are several members who are).
I'm not grumpy! I just don't like these new fangled kids, with their hippity-hop and their pudding...
Anyways.
No, really, I just don't like segregating the Pro-Life movement into groups, especially especially by religion. A Catholic Pro-Lifer isn't exactly unique either, so there's not even a reason to bring it up like, "Hey, it's not just Atheists that are Pro-Life!" True, there are too many "progressive" Pro-Choice Catholics, but it's still not surprising to find a Catholic Pro-Lifer. I find Liberal Pro-Lifers, or Atheist Pro-Lifers, much more interesting, because they break the stereotype.
I love other Catholic Pro-Lifers, I just don't see a need for a specific thread...
