{Group Includes: Ristretto, Regallegro, Vulfelorik, Rumextress}
Ristretto sat outside the coffee shop impatiently, paws kneading the ground. He had received the word the other Jellicles had been kidnapped, and he was ready to go. He had seen shady-looking cats lurking about the shop lately, mainly in the alleys, such as where he was now. He peered down the dark alleyway, flicking his tail impatiently.

Regallegro had heard the news when it was first in its infantile stages, stories of a kitten or a young male's mate who had been spirited away in the night and were gone the next morning. As it seemed to get more popular, however, the male got more determined. He had to figure out what was behind this mystery, he had decided; after all, imagine what would happen if he discovered the guilty party? The Jellicles would praise him for years! Imagine all the songs they'd sing? Yes, he certainly had to investigate further, in the name of justice...and perhaps his ego. He would keep that second part in his subconscious where it belonged, though.
He had sniffed out a few spots, and today was looking for somewhere new when he spied the alley. Of course; shifty things always happened in alleyways, didn't they? Making an abrupt right turn, he went down the alley, pausing with a paw in the air when he saw Ristretto sitting there, looking like some kind of statue guardian. He flicked his tail and regarded the other male thoughtfully.
"Are you a kidnapper?"

Ristretto turned to face the cat slowly, studying the gold-and-black cat. He looked quite proud, his tail in the air, his head quite high. Ristretto smirked, getting up slowly.
"Perhaps I am, perhaps I'm not," He rumbled, keeping his mischievous smirk. Why not play with the cat a bit? He certainly didn't seem like a missing cat, and if he was going to go on a look out for them, may as well have some fun, right? He padded towards Regallegro, flicking his tail thoughtfully, studying him over yet again. He gave a thoughtful shrug, as well as a cat could, as sat next to him, giving up his act. He wasn't good at the whole sneaky-mischevious-evil-thing anyway.
"Depends, are you?" He sighed, curling his tail around his paws.

Regallegro's ears fell back against his head for a moment. "No!" he replied with a cry that was honestly louder than necessary, sounding offended. Couldn't this cat see that he was the knight in shining armor, the hero that the Jellicles all needed? He shook his head as though the world should have been aware of this. "No, I'm not. I'm Regallegro. I'm the kidnapper-finder."
And yet, even as the Kidnapper Finder, he had yet to find any kidnappers. Regallegro looked this other male over thoughtfully. Maybe he could help? He seemed smart enough. Reg could claim all the credit later, of course, but an extra pair of eyes might make things a bit easier. The male started pawing down the alleyway, then abruptly turned to face Ristretto.
"Do you wanna come with me?"

"Hey, hey, I was just wondering!" Ristretto cried back, ears flattened against his head. He relaxed as the cat shook his head and introduced himself. "Noce to meet you, Regallegro the kidnapper-finder" He bowed his head in respect, though rolling his eyes slightly at 'the kidnapper-finder' "I'm Ristretto. Coffee-shop cat."
Ristretto watched the tom pad down the alleyway, figuring he probably wouldn't last long. He raised a brow at the question, however, and gave a shrug. "Why not?" He sighed, getting up and trotting up to him to keep pace.
"Where to, kidnapper-finder?"

"Ristretto, huh? I guess that's kind of a cool name." Nodding his approval, Regallegro waited with an air of impatience for the other male to paw up to his side, then turned to continue padding down the alleyway. Yup, there was sure to be something interesting down here! He grew increasingly sure of it as he glanced around, taking in the surroundings, pausing every few steps to stare at something he thought was suspicious (but never really was).
"Well, I figure we should check all of those tiny hiding places, like behind cans and stuff like that. There might not be a kidnapper there, but there could be clues," he informed matter-of-factly, taking his own advice as he glanced behind a large dumpster. No, no one back there... Oh, but he'd find them, no worries.

((I'll just post his uncert until I get his cert ^^ )) Vulfelorik padded along the street, his bright golden eyes scanning all around him as he walked. This was his first real chance to go exploring on his own and he was tremendously excited.
He had heard all the rumors about cats going missing, but Vulf wasn’t afraid. In truth, he didn’t see what the big deal was. After all, he himself could make things disappear…well, at least he could make things appear to disappear anyway, and how was that any different? In any case, obviously the cats that were missing were somewhere right? And wherever they were, Vulf was determined to help find them.
He caught sight of an alleyway and grinned, “Ah-ha! Perfect!” before turning on his heels and without hesitation, trotted enthusiastically down the ally, “Elloooo?” he called, “Any cat-nappers lurkin’ about down ‘ere?”

Rue looked banefully back behind her shoulder at the disabled vehicle. Stupid thing. These past few days, the truck had been incredibly useful- she'd been riding in the it, looking for the catnapped Jellicles wherever it went, and while she'd gotten a lot of ground canvassed that way, she hadn't gotten to investigate anywhere too thoroughly before she had to return to her family. But for some reason, the grocer thought it would be a good idea to put it up on blocks and do something to the engine, so no truck for her. She would have to hoof it. She trod daintily down the street, ignoring a small dog that was yapping at her and the cars in the road. Ducking down a narrower street, she looked around to get her bearings before she started her search. A voice echoed down a nearby alleyway. It wasn't a familiar voice, but it sounded young and non-threatening. Grinning to herself, she answered back. "No catnappers," she called cheerily, "unless you're one yourself. And I really hope you aren't!"

Vulf smiled to himself when he heard the reply, and ducked into the shadows so he couldn’t be seen, “How do I know you ain’t no cat-napper?” They could be lying after all, and even if they weren’t, it could be fun to mess with them a little, “Show yourself and then I’ll think about revealin’ myself to ya in return”
As usual he wasn’t afraid of the stranger, especially as the voice sounded quite friendly, but it never hurt to be a little cautious when dealing with strangers.

Being new to the neighborhood, Rumextress understood the stranger's caution. After all, he'd never heard or seen her before; just as she'd never heard or met him. Still, though, she was quite sure she was safe- an eternal optimist, she was convinced that the world was far less scary than so many cats said it was. She smiled in the general direction of the gruff little voice. "All right then," she said, and padded into a shaft of sunlight. Anybody who looked at her could see she was no catnapper; Rue was a dainty little thing, a very petite female whose innocent green eyes were large in her round face. "I'm Rumextress; Rue for short and Sorrel at home. Who might you be, Mr. Non-Catnapper?"

Upon seeing the dainty female step into the sunlight and introduce herself, Vulf sighed, party out of disappointment that she wasn’t a cat-napper that he could capture.
Stepping out of the shadows, he padded up to her cheerfully, his tail twitching with the excitement of meeting someone new, “Allo there, I’m Vulfelorik, Vulf for short. At home they call me Plucky” he bowed his head politely, “You ain’t one of them missin’ jellicles by chance, are ya?”

"Right," he sighed, pawing through a pile of trash that had fallen from a trash can. Nope, no clues. He flicked his ears back impatiently. Was it always this hard to find a catnapper? Then again, there was that trash can over there that he'd seen a cat eating out of the other day. That one had particularly liked the leftover coffee beans from the shop. He shook his head disapprovingly to himself. They tasted disgusting, in his opinion; coffee cat or not.
Ristretto checked up on his hunting companion as to make sure he hadn't fallen into something, or gotten catnapped. Nope, still there. He turned around and saw two cats, one about kit-sized, and the other quite dainty, but he knew better than to judge. These were obviously...
"OH SHOOT REGALLEGRO THEY SNUCK UP ON US THEY MUST BE KIDNAPPERS!"
(( -SO shot for that- Dimitri will get it. x3)

{{lmao panther, you are fifty kinds of horrible}}
Patience. That's what everyone always aid to him. That was even what his humans said to him, sometimes. Patience. He tried to remind himself of the word as he rooted through garbage cans and poked his nose into cracks, hoping for even the faintest whiff of evidence. It was not until the alert cry of Ristretto that Regallegro quickly turned on his paws, nearly slamming his backside into the garbage can he was besides. His tail and the fur along his spine bristling, he flattened his ears.
"Kidnappers!" he echoed with a hiss, snarling as he stalked forward to the others, his tail lashing behind him.
"You!" He approached Rumextress first. The younger one must've been an accomplice in training; there was no sense going to him. "Where are the others? What have you done with them?"
