Sephy, obviously. Especially if you take VII!Sephiroth, but even in Crisis Core, remember that friendly little fight scene? I'd say he won that.

matttoland duh angeal would totally win because the friendly little fight scene he blocked both spiroths and genesis's swords at once True, but I don't think being able to block one swing (aimed toward someone else, no less) stands up to Sephiroth fighting them both at the same time a couple minutes earlier. Now... come to think of it, maybe that really isn't the best scene to judge, seeing as it looks like the only one who was really going all-out was Genesis. But, Sephiroth at least still beat him without looking any worse for the wear.

That would be some serious retconning, 'cause Genesis didn't even exist when VII first came out. Okay, to actually prove it, though? 1. Sephiorth was "good" while Genesis was still in the picture. That would make Genesis an extremely capable multitasker to be in both his and Sephy's bodies at once. 2. When would Genesis have done that? We see him clearly being himself long after Sephiroth takes his leave in Crisis Core. Then Weiss and Nero take him to Deepground at the end of the game. He's got an alibi, there... 3. Yes, the real Sephiroth was trapped in mako. The Sephiroth you see in most of VII isn't really him, but it's definitely not Genesis either. It's Jenova, which Sephiroth is controlling. Remember the beginning at the Shin-Ra building? How Jenova's gone from the container and everyone was killed? It was suppiosedly by Sephy, but it was the Jenova that escaped and killed everyone, looking like Sephiroth. 4. Think of Sephiroth's motives. Everything fits with it being him (considering there's no question it was intended to be him from the beginning), starting with the Shin-Ra Mansion event, up till the end of the game. With Genesis... is just doesn't make sense. So please, I want to hear what you think! biggrin

The three sephiroth clones come and kidnap him. It makes sense that genesis was made into a sephiroth clone because the true sephiroth never had an angel wing. Genesis did.

It makes sense that genesis was made into a sephiroth clone because the true sephiroth never had an angel wing. Genesis did. I can kind of see your point, but it's been confirmed by Word of God that it was Weiss and Nero... Well, here's a quote from the Final Fantasy Wiki. Final Fantasy Wiki It is revealed in the Crisis Core Ultimania Guide that Genesis was brought to Deepground momentarily, and that Weiss and Nero attempted to persuade him to join in their rebellion against the Restrictors, current leaders of Deepground and 14th Lost Force of SOLDIER. Tetsuya Nomura explained that Genesis ends up declining this offer, and decides to seal himself in the flooded cavern beneath Midgar (as seen in Dirge of Cerberus). With both Sephiroth and Angeal dead, he decides that it is up to him, being the only one left behind, to protect the world. I've looked for direct translations of the Ultimania, and I can at least confirm from what I saw the Weiss and Nero picked him up and him to join them, he refused, and then he sealed himself in the cave. And my other point remains; why would Genesis then act like Sephiroth, with Sephiroth's motives and all?

Sephiroth was obvious. In CC, during the fight with Genesis, he begin effortlessly destroying the battle ground around him while Genesis is barely holding his ground. The fact that Zack could defeat Angeal and Genesis proves that Sephiroth is the strongest of the three, because Sephiroth defeated Zack (ie. disarmed him, while Zack collasped from exhaustion).
