From sunrise to twilight, this is the busiest place in the city. People rush from place to place, crossing streets almost carelessly, and hurrying to get their activities finished before the forest smothers their town in shadows. The only times when those people travel orderly are during the holidays. Festivals, parades, and other recreational activities take place in the city streets all over town.

Stella was calmly walking along the sidewalk, occasionally glancing at a store. She had to dodge everyone else that was walking and it was as if she was invisible to them. One person bumped into her. "Sorry." Stella said to the man but he only glared at her and continued walking. She felt hurt but didn't try to show it.

Mim was oblivious to the busy-bodies around her. Instead, her thoughts were focused solely on her umbrella. It was a strange hobby of hers, modifying the thing into her perfect weapon. With practice and a few spare parts, Mim could have a part of the handle extend. Better defense.
Noticing what the man had done, she waited for him to approach and straighten out her legs. Yes, they were in the sidewalk. And hey, the poor guy tripped. But it was so satisfying.
"Better watch where you're going." She said. A smug smile planted across her face. In a huff, he brushed himself off and left, which only made her giggle. "Men." She mumbled. Pulling her long white-blonde hair over her shoulder, she continued with her project...

a sound drew her from the trank-enduced sleep, her eyes flickering open. why.. did it hurt me.. she puzzled, her ears pinning back against her skull as pain assailed her. silver.. it had to have been a silver dart with the trank inside.. damn humans. pushing herself to her paws she studied the allyway around her, then the people on the streets. how did she get here? takeing a step forward she jerked around, feeling the metal against her neck and the chain at her paws. howling with frustration she bit into the chain, ignoreing the silver burning against her mouth as she tore into the metal. it didnt do much damage, and only increased her rage. her angered growls were drowned out by the people, but she was only focused on tearing the chain from the wall it was latched to.. the silver in the collar itched, and her vision wavered..
Next thing she knew, she was laying on the hard ground.. dark red hair keeping her warm as her skin pressed against the cement. her clothing felt odd.. after so long in wolf form.. but she was glad to have them. reaching up she tugged at the chain at her neck, curling into a ball.

Fighter's instinct kicked in. Or as Mim sometimes called it, 'Damsel-in-distress syndrome.' Slipping her parasol onto her back, she followed the growling into the alley. 'The hell?' She thought. Keeping her back to the wall, though alot of help it did her with those flying types, Mim crept deeper and deeper. Until she spotted the girl.
Before Mim jumped into her heroin role, she listened around her, tensed and prepared for a fight. Didn't need get herself caught too. When the coast seemed clear, she gripped her parasol again and quickly crept towards the girl. Knowing better than to touch her, she said, "I want to help. Let me free you..." If she could.

startled Styx jerked upright, fur rippleing along her skin. her movements were graceful.. yet awkward, as if she were learning to ride a bike again. the red sores at her neck rubbed against the collar and she locked her jaw, saying in a quiet voice. " get it off.. or kill me. i will not attack, my anger is not at you human." a deadly undertone was clear in her voice, and she curled her hands into fists. she knew their sents.. she would hunt them now, and not even the god lupar would save them from her fangs. no one collared her like a broken pet.

Taking the collar in her fist, Mim gritted her teeth and began pulling at the collar. "I'll try not to hurt you." She said. Human strength alone wouldn't have work, but the venom in her vains had a few...advantages. With a firm tug, the collar snapped in two, clattering to the ground. The only side effect was that her hands were beginning to sting. Stupid silver.
"Your wrist." Mim began. "And ankles. Can you slip from them? If not, I'll get those too..."

Studying the woman with calm eyes, Styx moved away from her and crouched. in the space of a heart beat she lunged forward, shifting as she did so. the cuffs landed with a loud clang as she landed on her paws, staggering as fire ripped up her limbs. with a keening sound she shifted back to human form, bringing her wrist to her mouth to lick her wound. there were blisters where the cuffs had touched her wrist and neck.. luckily her boots had sheilded her from further damage to her legs. there was slight burning.. but it was from her time in wolf form, and would be gone shortly. forceing herself to her feet she looked around the city, pink eyes fixing on Mim with a wolfs gleam. " you helped me, i owe you a dept.. but why did you do so?" she would have attacked, had she been Beta.. stronger human or no, it wouldnt have stopped her from trying to kill the threat. but still.. the woman had helped, not knowing if she were alpha or beta. it was alien to her, and she couldnt understand it.

Mim rubbed her right palm against her skirt, trying to numb the itchy feeling. Her left hand, well, she couldn't feel it. She used to wear pants, but skirts were easier to fight in. Now, she wore a long skirt with shorts beneath them. No flashing the goods for anyone. Movement was just easier, but shorts solved the flashing inconvienance. Perfect combo.
Looking up at the wolf, she shrugged. "I don't know. I like it. I have a knack for it." Thinking back, Mim grimly thought that it had become her vendetta every since those rogues...but she wouldn't dwell on that.

Styx tilted her head, but didnt push it. she would never understand humans.. but she owed this human, and she would pay it. still rubbing her wrist she nodded her head, still tense. " i am fardal'styx.. in your tounge it would be 'she who wears blood'." she narrowed her eyes, adding. " humans go by one name.. so to them i shall be Styx." backing away she nodded her head, saying as she dissappeared into the crowd. " if you need me, i will come." then she was gone.

"Later, Styx." Mim called. Swinging her parasol over her shoulder, she too slipped from the alley. Wandering down the sidewalk, Mim whistled an old lullaby. One she'd sing to Gregory and the one her mother would sing to her...

Yumi walked down the street with her hooded cloak on hiding her appearance. She stopped and sniffed the air; then she smelled it: food. It had been awile since she had a nice meal. I could really go for something right about now... She thought as her tummy growled. She walked on until she came to a very old sign, it read: Asylum. And an arrow. Hmm... Im not busy... I should go see what i can find there. She thought smiling and walked off toward the asylum.
