Jellicle Dance
Catnappings!
Something strange is going on and Jellicles have been going missing! Suspicious cats have been seen prowling around the junkyard and alleyways. Vaertun believes they have something to do with the missing members of the tribe. He is calling on all able Jellicles to work together to find their missing friends, to rescue them from their captors.
All Jellicles are being warned to be wary of strangers and keep an eye out for anything unusual.
Any adult cats wishing to join in the search are welcome and encouraged to work in teams. Younger cats are not allowed to join in the search and are strongly advised to avoid trouble and not make their own search parties.
The search is to spread out over the areas of London that are accessible to cats. Vaertun will be staying in the Junkyard, keeping track of those who are out searching and any goings-on.
How to Participate!
To join in the fun, all you need to do is roleplay! Find a partner, if you wish, pick a place in the guild for your Jellicles to go searching and RP it out in that area.
Every night, starting Monday, one of the locations will be randomly chosen and an RP picked out. An NPC will interrupt the search party and they may or may not find (or rescue, if Vaertun's suspicions are correct) one of the missing cats. Once the NPC interaction is complete, the cat may go to one of the RPers. If there are two players, if will be randomized.
If you have a Jellicle who would find more enjoyment in causing trouble, they may also participate. When you RP, you do not need to be helping anybody. You may seek out other Jellicles to cause trouble for, you may seek out the NPCs to harass them for the sake of harassing them or to join them. These kinds of interactions may also earn you a cat.
If you have any young cats who might slip away from watchful eyes, they may also join in the fun (for whichever side they see fit). They will have a harder time with NPCs and may come out worse for it, but there are no OOC restrictions on youth participation.
Vaertun will be staying in the Junkyard keeping track of all goings on. Everything that happens with the Jellicles, those working on their side anyway, will be reported to him (though it need not be RPed). Announcements will be made each night to update what is going on.
Rules!
1. You need a cat to participate, sorry!
2. No godmoding. We will not be using a dice system for fights, we are trusting you to use your own judgment. NPCs will be in control of the fights, damage done to and by them will be made clear. Your cat's actions matter but godmoding is a sure way to lose a fight fast.
Any fights between Jellicles that are not NPCs are to be handled however you see fit. Please be respectful of whoever you are playing with.
3. By RPing in this event, you are agreeing to the risk that any Jellicle is taking. Nobody will die but some cats may be injured.
4. No sore losers (or bad winners). Try to enjoy yourselves!
5. We are not limiting how many cats you may win but we may be more selective once you've won once. If you have won a cat but your current RP partner has not, they are more likely to receive the cat.
6. Any additional rules may be added as we see fit. Any new rules will be announced with Vaertun's updates.
