Kuat is home to one of the largest manufacturers of technology in the Galaxy the Kuat Drive Yards.

Kuat Drive Yards is the largest military shipbuilding corporation in the universe and owns several subsidiary corporations including Kuat Systems Engineering and Rothana Heavy Engineering (the latter of which provided armament and ships for Supreme Chancellor Palpatine's clone army during Clone Wars). KDY is one of the few major corporations which sided with the Galactic government during the Clone Wars, against the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Kuat Drive Yards' major competitors for major military contracts during the Imperial reign included Sienar Fleet Systems and Corellian Engineering Corporation.

The main shipyards in the Kuat system actually ring the entirety of the system and in terms of sheer manufacturing ability it was first among equals.

KDY also sells planetary turbolasers, which, according to their catalog, form the "first, last, and only line of defense" for a planet.

Kuat is now not only the location of the largest ship and defence armament production in the galaxy but it is also home to the Intergalactic Trading Empire. The main headquarters monitors all other outposts in the galaxy and runs the day to day runnings of the ITE. It is here that the armies of the Empire were designed and then produced elsewhere.

Kuat is also fairly densly populated and one can come and with ingenuity create a name here.

As the small Capsule came to a thundering stop the occupant was completely unshaken as if the pod had never moved. The doors flung open and Kyoten stepped out walking Upto a set of Large double Doors which opened as he Approached.

With this Kyoten turned and returned to the capsule which returned the way It had Came. As the Capsule rose kyoten could here what sounded like other capsules flying past. Upon reaching the ship He found 2 additional capsules in the ship In the bays beside Him. These contained His tests. He quickly ordered the coordinates of correlia before beginning to release the new creations.
