What goes up a hill with two legs, and down with three?
A man was to be sentenced, and the judge told him, "You may make a statement. If it is true, I'll sentence you to four years in prison. If it is false, I'll sentence you to six years in prison." After the man made his statement, the judge decided to let him go free. What did the man say?
Mom and Dad have four daughters, and each daughter has one brother. How many people are in the family?
You have a barrel of oil, and you need to measure out just one gallon. How do you do this if you only have a three-gallon container and a five-gallon container?

how is this for a riddle you can't solve.(no one i have tried these on have ever solved them)
What is greater then god, more evil then the devil, poor people have it, rich people need it?
also,
what walks on on 4 legs at dawn, 2 legs at noon and three legs in the evening?
last but certainly not least,
a man works at the bottom floor of a hotel and lives on the top. sometimes he takes the elevator to the top and sometimes he takes the elevator to the eighteenth floor and goes up 2 floors on the stairs. (there are 20 floors and the buttons are going vertically up the side of the elevator) What is the explanation for why he has to do this?

The anser is that the man was short/a midget..... He could only press the 18th floor button and then would walk up the stairs for the rest.....
Heres my riddle (even tho this thread is old):
Theres 2 doors. One leads to heaven, 1 leads to hell. One lies and one tells the truth (the one to heaven could be the one who lies, so basicly it doesnt matter wich one lies and wich one tells the truth).
You can ask one door ONE question. What would you ask? (to choose the correct door that leads to heaven)
