I just posted this in the forums, maybe you're interested?
So, I was doing a comparative price analysis of how much Gold you get per each cash credit spent. This is what I got!!
Name...................GC: Gold...........Gold/GC Water Meat.............749: 150000.........200 Memphis................749: 133000.........177 Turtle.....................499: 85000..........170 Killer Whale............499: 57000..........114 Knight Fish.............399: 45000..........112 Hamuhamu.............399: 42000..........105 Dolphin..................399: 40000..........100 Octopii...................299: 40000..........133 Scooter Blenny.......299: 30000..........100 Seaslug..................299: 28000...........93 Narwhal..................299: 26000............87 Starfish..................299: 30000...........100 Jellyfish..................299: 16000...........53 Mimi......................299: 14000............47 Lazor fish...............299: 60000..........2006 Candycorn Fish......299: 60000..........2006 Orange Snail.........199: 37000..........186 Lime Snail.............199: 25000...........126 Streamer fish.........199: 42000..........211 Banggai................199: 37000...........191 Seahorse..............199: 48000...........186 Gray Snail.............199: 41000...........241 Coco Fish..............199: 40000...........201 Kik Fish................199: 38000...........191 Spikey..................149: 30000...........201 Submarine.............149: 10000............67 Sharktooth..............99: 5000...............50 Diving Suit..............99: 9500................96 Arrowfish................49: 2000................20 Nautilus.................49: 13000..............265 Goldfish.................25: 700..................28
The price in gold is taken from the average market price TODAY. It was rounded for convenience, but difference in price is usually within 10g or so.
To further explain, of course you will get more gold for a Water Meat (200 g/gc) than a candycorn fish (2006 g/gc). BUT, if you were to but if we spend 2250gc on each:
WATERMEAT: 200g/gc x 2250gc = 450000g That's a profit of 450,000g for 3 Water Meats on the Market.
CANDYCORN FISH: 2006g/gc x 2250gc = 4513500g That's a profit of 4,523,500g for 7.5 Candycorn fish.
The profit you make in candycorn fish is ten times your profit in watermeats!! 8D
That's because the ratio of Gold to GC is higher for the Candycorn fish. :3
THE TOP 10 MOST LUCRATIVE FISH TO SELL ON THE MARKET ARE AS FOLLOWS!!
10)Cardinal Banggai.....191g/gc 9)Kiki Fish...................191g/gc 8 )Water Meat..............200g/gc 7)Aquarium Spikey.......210g/gc 6)Coco Catfish............201g/gc 5)Streamer Fish..........211g/gc 4)Gray Snail...............241g/gc 3)Nautilus..................265g/gc 2)Lazor fish................2006g/gc 1)Candycorn fish........2006g/gc
Any data you'd like to add? Pm me with it and I'll stick it in with credit to you!!

Yeah you know what I read this again and tried to do the math for that and it makes no sense. How do you get the 2006/gc? When I go 7.5 candy corn fish x 60000 gold I get 450000 not 4 million.
