Cryptozoology refers to the search for and study of animals which are considered to be legendary or otherwise nonexistent by mainstream biology. This includes:
1) living examples of animals which are considered to be extinct, such as dinosaurs 2) animals whose existence lacks physical support but which appear in myths and legends, such as Bigfoot, Nessie, and el Chupacabra 3) wild animals dramatically outside of their normal geographic ranges, such as phantom cats
Feel free to discuss cryptids here.
