1. Follow the Gaia Terms of Service. Especially the fourth section, titled "Prohibited Conduct".

Although it is listed in the ToS, we must remind you:

•Do not Stalk, Harass, Threaten, or Defraud other Gaia Members.
•Do not Post or send any illegal, unsafe, racist, disrespectful, pornographic or otherwise innapropriate or offensive content.
•Do not Impersonate another Gaian or make attempts to access their account without permission (this includes hacking).
•Do not Bot gold or items or Script with the intention of interfering with the function of Gaia or any other Gaian's account (this also means scripting in order to harm someone or their account in any way).

2. Treat all members with respect. Yes, this is mandatory aswell.

•Behave yourself at all times. Do not tease others or put them down. Rule #1 should explain this perfectly.
•You do not need to like the person, however you do need to be fair and courteous at all times. Even when they are not.
•Be fair and do not single others out due to personal grudges or opinion. Everyone is equal - even if you think they shouldn't be.

3. During meetings, events, weddings, etc, pay attention and behave.

•No out of line behavior.
•No making insults or disrupting the meeting.
•No destructive comments.
•Wear the specific uniform for the event. (A Link will be made here, pointing to the Guild's Meeting Uniform Thread - once it is up.)
•You represent your Squad and the Guild, and as such you have responsibility. Act accordingly.

4. All Topics to be Posted in the Main Hall must be approved by a Captain first.

• Please contact a Captain before posting a topic within the Main Hall/Main Forum of this guild through PM, Rally, or otherwise. This is to keep the Main Hall organized and all of the important topics kept within easy view. Thank you.

~The Foundation of Sacred Law~

:{Our Oath}:

In this thread, you will find rules that will define our council's most sacred teachings. Unity and Equality. Both of these words may seem simple enough but mean more than what most people preceive them to be. There are many aspects within these two words and they are what represent the integrity and honor of our guild. Laws that define what this council must live up to with much devotion. These laws are what form this family together as one and as such laws that all council members must always abide by. Creating these sacred laws is what brings unity and equality together. In essence, following these sacred ways is much like taking an oath. Once you become a captain, it will mean that you have taken that oath to follow the laws that trenscends the sacred ways of the council. An oath that you must ALWAYS follow with absolute devotion.

:{Defining Unity}:

Unity... What does it truly mean? How do we unite? Are we not united already? We've come together, isn't that right? These many questions that run through our heads almost always or never are what need to be answered. Regardless, do we truly put their meanings into motion? Well...that all depends on how you do when forming a council. Unity means quite a lot. Especially if a guild strives to create such in a council. Making ideas is but the first step. When an idea is presented, whether it be from anyone within the guild, the first step of engaging this is by coming together as a council. In other words, all members must work together in order to critique and diligently discuss what can be worked out. Ideas are always encouraged, yet must also be carefully examined so that this family knows what benefits the guild and what doesn't. Sometimes, it can be a rejectful procedure and other times it can shed much light when it is deemed qualified as a valid idea that will help this guild reach to higher goals. A stern, yet moral balance within the sacred laws of the council.

The process of rejecting some ideas can be very difficult to do, for we do not like to turn people's ideas away. We encourage them to open their minds and share what we always acknowledge. However, what must be understood, within the concept of sharing ideas, is that if the idea's purpose is to support this guild, it must first be carefully examined to see whether it conflicts with other ideas or people's work and must also receive constructive critisism. Otherwise ideas via systems would not be properly organized. They would only plop all over the place and clutter everywhere, conflicting with all other systems. Therefore, only unity is what helps bring us together like mindful people and maintains order. Only together can cooperation and teamwork truly support what this guild srives for. In short, unity is not just coming together, but working as a team and as a family. Without unity, a guild cannot form a true family. Unity is one of our family's true foundation that holds this guild together and it is what symbolizes our honor. This is the law of Unity.

:{Defining Equality}:

Equality... Now I know this one should most likely sound like a simple word to understand. But how much are we really devoted to its meaning? In the past (within the SE) many personal conflicts have happened, people treating one another differently whether by rank or by their personal standards. Descrimination is what plagues us without true equality. And sadly, equality has only been abused and taken very lightly. This is a constant cycle that must come to an end and in order to do so, a new law must be passed down. Therefore, equality must be set in motion and must end the cycle of unnecessary hate. Equality is what will keep this family strong together. We cannot thrive together if we do not learn to respect one another.

But this law isn't just about the ways of preventing conflict. It also pertains to the ways of authority. Yes. This is the core of what equality symbolizes. Though we may be captains, we do not hold power over this guild. No council member has the authority to make decisions on their own no matter what guild rank you possess. This also applies to even the Vice Captains and Owner of the guild. No matter who it is, that person does not have authority to rule over the council's most sacred law. What we need to ALWAYS remember is that the council is absolute and all those who are members within it must abide by this law. The law of equality is what defines this guild to be so great and that law will always define us as a whole, as one, and as a family. Therefore, defining unity. No higher power exists and thus corruption ceases to exist as well.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~.:The Council's Declaration:.~
Here you will witness the very laws that will be carved within the walls of this council, markings that will forever symbolize our unity, equality, our honr and our devotion. From this day forth, our laws will be our sacred vows as captains and ones that will define us as true family! Like Mozas, we, together as one, shall pass down our indisputable commandments!
~Council's Law I~
When becoming a squad captain, a guild vice captain, or the guild owner, none have any authority higher than the council themselves. Once a member of the council, one must abide by the law of equality, for this council is absolute. There is no higher. Equality eliminates power, thus unity is born and breeds true strength within us all.
~Council's Law II~
Every squad captain, of any guild rank, must always follow the guild rule guidelines and the council's sacred laws. Any who do not are unqualified to be a worthy council member.
~Council Law III~
Anyone, within any rank, that is a member of the GE is always encouraged to bring forth new ideas that can help our guild progress. As such, however, members must first follow the required procedures of presenting an idea, and that is by through the council in order to diligently examine what is sufficiently valid to this guild or what might conflict with other systems. In a more specific description, a squad captain (crew member) may have an easier opportunity to present their ideas, but when it comes to other members below that rank, an idea must be present to their captains. Therefore, that captain must present his/her squad member's idea to the council. The idea itself not only needs to be carefully examined but must also receive a majority vote by the council themselves. Any new systems, requests, or rules that are presented, all members of the council, or 7 at most, must give thier vote of the majority whether it will be approved or not.
~Council's Law IV~
If any unnecessary gossip, conflicts, or fighting happen between members in our guild, a captain via council member must not resolve it alone if that captain decides to become involved. Therefore, that captain must report the situation to the council hall in order to resolve the matter together, thus enforcing unity to be set in motion. However, if the matter is minor, then reporting it to the council will not be necessary so long as it is not a growing problem. If the matter is a growing problem or is already a major issue, a captain is NOT to make any such announcement thread in the Captains Hall or a guild wide warning within the Main Hall until all members of the council (or 7 at the least) permit such a post if necessary.
~Council's Law V~
This is one of the most IMPORTANT law above all others. Faith... No matter what stands in the way of this family, we CANNOT falter. Doubt is not a solution, nor an option. No council member is to shed any such negative words of discouragement among the council or within the entire guild itself. If we let doubt consume our judgment, we cannot thrive. If we let ourselves yield to those who say differently (such as someone who said "we are not getting anywhere"), then we cannot rise above them. Faith, hope, integrity, and perseverance are what gives us the strength to conqure anything. Honor, respect, faith, unity, and equality are our markings that we represent and what GE now transchends.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

These laws are the very structures that form this family together and is the heart that beats endlessly within this guild. These laws are what make us alive and grow each day that passes. From this day forth, as you now become a captain, you must swear an oath to abide by these sacred laws of declaration. Let it be here, on this day, that you become a captain, you are destined to make this vow. Keep your sacred oath close to your heart and NEVER let it falter, never let it dwindle in memory, and never let it die within your faith. On this day...you shall swear by the sword (or Zanpakuto in this case lol)! Let our unity and equality forever keep us strong as a whole!

Rank Purposes~

Within this post contains the descriptions of each job. Keep in mind, your Captain may request other things of you. This is a general overview of each Rank's duties. With your hard work, we will grow to become greater than we are now. Be proud of your rank and the responsibilities that come with it. Though at times it may seem difficult, the rewards are far greater than what hardships you may encounter. Remain steadfast, for you are the strength of this community! Now, onward you must go, for your journey has only begun...

=================================================

A Lieutenant's Job

The Lieutenant is a Captain's right hand and carries duties very similar to one. If you are a Lieutenant, always be willing to assist your Captain as he/she needs. You are to mantain order within your squad at all times. Your duties may include, but are not limited to: information gathering, topic maintenance, recruiting, welcoming and teaching the new members the ropes, leading the Officers and/or Teams, keeping the squad active, etc. Remember, always ask you Captain what you can be doing to help! Sometimes, there may be nothing he/she has to ask of you. If that is the case, find something you feel as though you can do. Remain active!

If your Captain is away, you are likely to be placed in charge of your squad. Under this circumstance, you are to follow your Captain's wishes and maintain the squad until his/her return. You are discouraged to make any severe changes to your squad unless the Captain has permitted you to do so.

If there are any problems within your squad, you are the first person an Officer/Soldier is asked to come to. If this occurs, you are to handle the problem as a Captain would by listening closely, acting with fairness, and keeping a level-head. Always act with the respect and dignity of your rank. If you feel as though you do not know how to act, if the issue is getting much too out of hand, or isn't reaching a conclusion, contact your Captain. There may be a chance that a member of another squad comes to you for assistance. You may assist them, but notify their squad's Captain regardless if you act or not.

=================================================

An Officer's Job

An Officer's duties are centered around maintaining order within their team and amongst the Soldiers as well as with recruiting. After receiving an order from either your Captain or your Lieutenant, you are to be sure to pass on the information or preform whatever duties they have for you pertaining to your team. If your squad is not divided clearly into teams, speak with your Captain and ask who they wish for you to watch over. The likely answer is going to be the Soldiers, aiding new Officers and/or new members. Maintain order within your team and/or amongst the Soldiers at all times. If you encounter any issues within your squad, you are first asked to speak with your Lieutenant. If you feel as though the issue is severe enough, you may speak directly with your Captain.

Although recruiting duties may apply to all ranks, we ask that Officers frequent Rally, Towns, and the forums. Get out there and make new friends. Get to know the people you speak to and ask them if they are interested in joining our family. If you find a potential candidate for the guild, contact a Captain with their username(s). Stress not only the Bleach/Anime/Roleplay focus, but the family and friends aspect as well. This is a Gaia guild, after all, we are as much a social group as a Bleach group. Seek to encourage them to be actively posting and socializing within Rally. Do not simply abandon a new member as soon as they are recruited. The new member may be shy and unsure of what to do, they may be nervous to post. You may be the only person that they know. Guide them in the ways of this guild, introduce them, help them to be come a member of the family as you are. Keep in mind, this applies to all who are actively recruiting.

As with Lieutenants, you are asked to speak with your Captain on ways you can help the squad and guild at large. It is also asked that you do the same with your squad's Lieutenant.

=================================================

A Soldier's Job

Now, you may believe that as a Soldier, you do not have many duties or that you are 'low' on the Rank scale. This is not true! Hold your head high, for you are an invaluable asset to your squad and the guild. Though you may not hold a Bankai within your hands, your cooperation and efforts keep the guild running! As with the other ranks, you are also asked to recruit. Please refer to the Officer's Job Summary above for details on recruiting. If you find a potential candidate for the guild, contact a Captain with their username(s). Now, you are also asked to maintain order amongst your fellow Soldiers as well. But, if there are any issues, contact your team's Officer. The Officer will pass on an issue to the Lieutenant or Captain if they feel as though it is needed.

Work together! Without teamwork, the squad and the guild will become disorganized. Act with proper respect, fairness, and remember to be responsible for your own actions. If you have made a mistake, do not panic. Simply contact one of a higher rank in your squad, we ask that it is your Officer, and discuss it with him/her. It is better to work through an issue rather than hide it and let it become worse. If you require any assistance, also contact your team's officer. If there aren't teams within your squad, contact any Officer within your squad. Never go it alone, remain active within your squad and the guild, socialize with others to deepen your connections so that you may strengthen your squad. If you do not place trust within others or simply choose to be a lone wolf, your actions will be fruitless.

As with other ranks, you are to encourage new members to be active in the squad, guild, and try to invite them to Rallys to meet everyone in a real-time environment. Also, ask your team's Officer, the Lieutenant, or the Captain what you may do to help.
