The entire way to the dorm building she had talked and talked about how much fun the two of them would have as room mates. She couldn't believe such a coincidence had happened. Gosh! Her luck had been amazing that day. First she meets the nicest person on the very day of her arrival, only then to find out that certain person is her room mate. It was a lot better than someone she completely didn't know, and way better than some “*****”. She had already found herself so attached to Jacob. In her mind they had already become best friends. ” This is so exciting! I wonder what it will look like inside...?” Inhaling sharply, she held her breath until she pushed opened the door, breathing out with a shrill squeal.
Standing in the open door, she hopped in place. With one finally leap she hopped into the room, spinning around in circles until she collapsed on one of the small twin beds. From there she went into a giggle attack and laughed as she rolled around happily on the bed. After the random flailing around she ended up in an awkward upside down position, glancing at Jacob in that angle. Sitting against the wall by the door near Jacob was a large parcel with the katakana オリビア ( Oribia/Olivia) written boldly in sharpie marker. Flipping over onto her stomach, still on the bed, she stared at it oddly. ” Whats that?” Hopping off the bed she scurried over to the package, bending down beside it. Placed on the top was a card, and she wasted no time opening it to see who it was from. ” Okaasan! Its from my mom!” Shedding off the blue wrapping paper, she dug head first into the box coming out with something a little odd. ” Doraemon! “ She held in her hand a large blue colored bed comforter. On it was a large blue looking cat with japanese writing off to the side that read, “Hello, I am Doraemon!”

a beautiful『 x ✿ x 』 in the rain Jacob was always a good listener. And, this was no exception whilst Olivia babbled like an excited child the whole way to their room. Not that he minded, though. It would be certainly interesting to have a roommate like her. e just nodded, not really, literally, being able to say much, only smile as she let out a squeal of excitement upon entering. Jacob had already made himself comfortable, so, this room was nothing new to him. Instead, he picked up the notebook that hung upon a nail beside the door and took it into consideration. 'Awwh. That's cute... I wish my mom sent me things... Or cared for that matter.' Dark sarcasm, he rolled his eyes and sat down upon his silk red sheets, which had patterns of orange and yellow flower all over them. 'You know what's cool? Check this out.' Jacob took a pen from his cast iron nightstand and wrote on the seemingly normal notepad, "ceiling fan". There was a pause, and, within seconds, a ceiling fan morphed, slowly, onto the bedroom ceiling. 'Magic. Not me, though.' He tossed the notepad to Olivia and dragged her out into the bland living area. 'You know, I've never been good with decorating places other than my room... Perhaps you could help?' He offered a charming smile before taking a seat on the boring couch and leaving it all in Olivia's hands.

Though upon inspecting the contents of the box closely, she discovered her mother had been a little more considerate than she originally thought. Sitting at the very bottom under all of the tissue paper and plastic was a small basket full of Japanese sweets. Reading the card more carefully this time she noticed the little “P.S” at the bottom. Plucking it out of the box she skipped over to his bed, slamming it down. ” Mommy said to share with the room mates. “ She smiled, snatching a box of strawberry flavored pocky and litchi fruit gummies out of the basket. Shoving one of the sticks into her mouth, she began to go about making up her bed. Very quietly she hummed to herself, making up melodies as she went along. Soon the company would be expecting an English mini-album debut. Before she had experimented with english lyrics, but standard english was basically all she had under her belt. Anything that attempted to sound poetic in anyway felt like it had holes and flaws. Now that she was in American she figured her english vocabulary would improve over time. It was just that she was so used to speaking Japanese she lost some of the more complicated vocabulary.
Looking over at Jacob write something down, she raised a brow trying to figure out was so magical about a piece of paper and pen. ” What?” Then she looked up. Her mouth dropped, and she immediately stopped whatever she was doing and rushed over to his side. ” Sugoi! This is great! Wonder how they do it? “ Grabbing the pen she wrote something random just to see if it would really happen a second time. Just as she had written in curvy , slanted letters a large nightstand appeared between the two beds. ” Ano..I don't know if I'd be the best person to either...” Shifting awkwardly in place, she tried not to appear too embarrassed about it. ” You have more, whats the word? Art-like talent? Artistic, yeah. My room back home mostly has Doraemon all over the place. Teehee.” Almost a grown girl, Olivia could never find it in her heart to let go of her attachment for her favorite childhood TV show. Plus, as far as she could tell, just by looking at their beds she could tell their taste was really different. ” Blues and reds? Cool and warm tones, kind of a big opposite. I really like your bed though, its pretty.“

a beautiful『 x ✿ x 』 in the rain Mommy. He hadn't said that word in years. Not since he was a toddler. And, even then, he only had faint dreams about the women. Blond hair, like his. Eyes like Justin's... The faint scent of the ocean and lavender in the mixture. It was blurry. Only Justin could remember their mother, and, even then, he never really spoke of her. There was some kind of secret or something of the like both Justin and his dad were hiding from him. But, Jacob had given up on it. Justin would tell when he was ready. Carefully he plucked a box of chocolate pocky, something that he'd grown to love, and nibbled on it thoughtfully, watching as a nightstand barged it's way between his area and her area. He smiled. 'Practice makes perfect. Besides, everyone has artistic talent in them. They just have to muster it up and find it. You surely have more imagination than I do.' He stood, noticing how their rooms contracted greatly. Fire and water. Olivia was like water, calm and peaceful, beautiful in retrospect. Innocent and pure. As for himself? Jacob wouldn't really consider himself to be fire -- no, that was Justin... Perhaps there was something else red... Blood? Blood is thicker than water... More resistant... Something like that. Unclean, unpure..
By now, a troubled look had crossed the blond boy's face as he thought more negative thoughts, over and over. GAH! Focus, damn you Jacob. He snapped out of it, looking at Olivia. 'You know, I bet if you wrote a certain style down, the notepad could make it work... Maybe you'd want this room to have a more... Home-like feel?' Jacob wouldn't mind screen doors and wooden floors. Zen was all the better, of course. Simplistic all the way. He much rather liked the Japanese culture. It would be a nice change of pace from modernity, after all. Smiling at the tiny-framed girl, Jacob slumped against the wall, sliding into a chest-hugging position. 'Up to you,my dear.' Encouraged the mute telepath.

Olivia Symphony ♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦ A thoughtful smiled graced her tiny pink lips as she let out a small giggle. Who would have thought Jacob was so modest? ( Modesty or negativity, she couldn't really tell) Maybe sometime if her mom came down for a recording session or concert she would introduce her to Jacob. Her mother was real big on proper Japanese etiquette and traditions, and she knew that she would greatly appreciate Jacob's lay-back attitude. Feeling her thoughts were a little off track,” I don't know. I guess I could try. “ Taking the pen back into her hand she stared invisible holes through the white sheet of paper, trying to think of something to write. He had told her she could do something that reminded her of home, but she just lived in the suites in Tokyo. Everything looked mostly the same as American rooms. ” Teehee, screen doors and futons might be a little weird. I don't want to embarrass you if your friends stop by. “
Though now that she thought about it, a little reminder of home might ease her worries about things going on over there with the record company. It was a bit tempting. ” Maybe something a little more modern?” Silently she thought back to all the fancy modern architecture buildings she had been in, and then started combining her ideas and incorporating them into the room. ” Maybe if I do this..?” Imagining what it would look like in her head she wrote down, “Modern Futon” then glanced up to see if it worked. Just as she had hoped their old beds were replaced with two black bed frames, with a base that was low to the floor. Scribbling away, the bed side table was replaced with two smaller ones incorporated into the frame of the beds. One for each of them.”That looks pretty..” Biting on the end of the pen, she looked around the room. The surprised look on her face showed she thought of something, and she quickly dotted something down. Suddenly the walls changed color to a soft tan tone, and little oriental paintings popped up in certain places so it wouldn't looked crowded.
It still didn't look that japanese, so she tried to imagine something with screen doors. Maybe for the bathroom, but how? If the wall was slightly jutted out from the rest of the wall she could make that wall have screening..? No, that would look weird. How about behind the beds all along the back wall? She wrote it down, and it appeared to look okay so she left it like that. Glancing towards the lounging room she decided it would look more spacious to push that little area back away from the rest, but still make it easy to access.” Thinks thats a bit too much screen..” She erased the screen on the back wall and decided to place a sliding screen door on the side leading into the lounge room on the right. That looked a lot better. How about furniture for that room? ” Oh! Cool circle chairs, that would be nice. The ones that spin around, and feel like little cubbyholes.” Oh wait, that would be too big...” Or not..How about this?” Two black framed chairs with tan cushions appeared in the room.” Need a table in there, I'll put a Kotatsu table in there but it'll be a little taller than they usually are, so it will look more like a coffee table I guess..”
Then lastly, she put a bamboo plant in the far right corner near the door which was on the left. Then on the wall facing their beds, well, the opening to the kitchen would be there. ” I don't know about the kitchen..” I think I should raise the floor a little to step up into the kitchen, so it feels separated. She thought to herself.” Then the bathroom....” Hauauauau!” She slammed the pen on the table, and sank to the floor on her knees. ” I ran out of brain power..” Creativity drained, she plopped onto the floor next to Jacob's feet. Making cute Japanese noises, she rolled back and forth on the soft, light tan carpet. ” Uguuuu.......ya..ma..ro..kudasai...Atama ga itai desuuuuu...” ( Uguu! Make it stop, my head hurts! 'dies' LOL) Then she laid very still, rolling over on her back to stare at the ceiling. Then the complaints broke out again when she realized she hadn't thought of where to put the closets. " Gaou*~ It's your turn Jeikobu..." In her whiny, tired, and hungry state she wasn't worried about hiding her strong accent.
(( Behold my crude drawing of the layout of the room. Think I went overboard? XD ))

a beautiful『 x ✿ x 』 in the rain Jacob watched with muted ( no pun intended ) awe as the new room came to life. It sure beat the hell out of whatever he had in mind. The thing about living in America was that there was hardly anything culturally special about the houses. As for Japan? He loved the quaint, Zen feeling that grew stronger as Olivia flitted from room to room, making everything so much more livable. Jacob was so mesmerized by it, that, when she slammed the pen and let out a rather agonized scream, he nearly fell off the bed and landed on the girl who was parked right by his feet. He couldn't help but smile at how adorable she was, though, he couldn't really understand what she was saying as she rolled around the carpet. 'Jeikobu? That's new.' He teased slightly as he picked up the notepad and pen. 'You'll have to forgive me, but, I know nothing of Japanese decor.' He told her as he headed to the bathroom and leaned on the doorframe, wondering what he could do with this drab little place. Jacob chewed slightly on the pen. 'Well, a little Americanization never hurt anyone.' He settled on a huge shower with a glass door and a 'rainfall' showerhead that was detachable to one's desire. 'Okay... That's a start... Now these walls... Dark wood would do nicely along the shower. A sort of blue / stone gray would look better everywhere else... The floor should match too..." He mumbled to himself, scribbling faster as ideas popped into his head. 'Let's see.. A porcelain 'above counter' sink... A polished wood bench with towels and other goodies... OH! And an in ground bathtub."
Part of changing the room was also picturing what you wanted it to look like in your head. And, Jacob had certainly made his imagination come to life*. He turned to Olivia with a smile. 'What do you think? Overboard or...?' He leaned against the wall, stomach growling slightly. 'Damn I'm hungry... What about you?'
[ Nooo. It's fine. & the bamboo plants don't look that dead. xD * patio not included. ]

Olivia Symphony ♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦ Sitting up to glance over at Jacob, looking for something that hinted at approval, she blushed. She found exactly what she was looking for, but his expression was almost dazzling to her. She had of course seen him smile in the short time she knew him, but never quite like that. For the first time she met him she actually noticed how handsome he was. Tall for one, beautiful hair, and golden eyes. In those radiant eyes something along the lines of admiration burned furiously. After staring at him like a goof ball for several seconds, she had to remind herself to breathe. Though it got even more difficult when he started playfully teasing her about her accent. By now her face was a deep scarlet, and she panicked wondering if Jacob could hear everything she was thinking. As a defensive maneuver she quickly thought of random things to cover up her mental image of him. Wonder what I did with my bag..Over there..Ah crap practice is next week. DORAEMON IS CUTE.
Well that didn't help at all. Especially that last part. Feeling rather silly now, she waddled after Jacob to look at the bathroom. As the room morphed and transformed, her face color faded back to normal. " No, its not overboard. Its perfect. Its really open and spacious, unlike my bathroom at home." She still had that bruise from when she tripped on a bath toy the last time she took a shower.
At the mention of food Olivia glanced down at her stomach, silencing the growling that had been bugging her for hours with her hand. " Yeah..I'm starving. I get nervous on airplanes, so I didn't eat really anything before I got here." Laughing nervously she glanced over at the small kitchen, wondering if she should make something herself. Then again she was a bit tired for that right now, so maybe the Cafeteria would be best. " What do you want to do? "
