After Ritsu attempted to kill the captain-commander and escaped the Maggot's Nest, this is how he met Yomiko again...

"When you deal with a man, deal with his most valuable possession, his life. There's play and there's the deep flow. I like to take things to the deep flow of play, because everything is a game, serious and nonserious at the same time. So play life like it's a game..."
-Huey P. Newton

Closing time...

It was closing time for the Compound. The beauticians and barbers already left a few minutes ago, leaving the only one to be in the shop to be Yomiko. The woman placed a small smile on her face as she sat in her chair, looking over the shop. Yomiko felt content and peaceful here. To her, it was almot as if she had no history with the Soul Society. She forgot most of those memories that were attached to that place. Yomiko slipped off of the chair when she decided to sweep some of the idle hair that her workers refused to pick up. Grabbing the broom and dustpan, she began to sweep in the shop without a care in the world.

Ritsu stumbled down the sidewalk, obviously having difficulty walking after everything that had happened. But, now he was a free man. And, even though his hair was matted and a little shaggier than it used to be and the fact that he had dark circles under his wide, wild eyes, he looked almost exactly the same as he did before he was locked up. A black scarf was slopilly wrapped around him, drooping down more over his chest than his neck. He suddenly stopped dead in his tracks as he recognized a familiar face inside a barbershop. "...Yomiko....?" He tilted his head to the side slightly and a small grin spread across his face. It was her. Instead of entering, he waited for her to notice him, and possibly even remember him.

The woman continued to sweep throughout her barbershop as if it were the most important job in the world. In the midst of this, she turned on some music. That music just happened to be a certain Rick Ross. Her music was blaring so She didn't notice the people outside of her shop, walking by. How could she? Letting out a small heavy sigh, she swept most of the hair and other things into the dustpan. Her eyes, for the moment, were now locked on the trashcan. Oddly enough, the trashcan did not have a trashbag. Yomiko groaned before she shrugged as she recited the chorus...

"Family over the money. Money over the bitches. Money don't mean nothin' and why they callin' it riches... I'm addicted to watches... Mama tellin me stop it...," Yomiko walked towards the front door of her shop, with her dustpan in hand. She was still reciting the lyrics as if they were her own. "Got 1 over 50...and keep 50 in my pocket..."

She pushed open the door, at that time, not realizing Ritsu was standing there. Yomiko continued with to recite the lyrics as she dumped her garbage on the nearby vegetation. "Do him in cold blood... Look him in his eyes may do him..." It was just then that she noticed Ritsu. Her heart stopped, her eyes wide. This man. She would've never thought that she was going to see him nor the other shinigami again. The woman stood there for a few minutes, her golden orbs looked on his. She took notice to the dark circles. Yomiko knew, his body language said so...

Ritsu was a bit off...

"R-Ritsu... D-Downer... i-is... t-that you..." Ritsu was the only person in the world, aside from Fuyu, that could make her trip over her words and show that she was 'normal'. Her eyes took themselves away from him. Slowly, they looked over towards the bank across the street. Yomiko didn't want to look. Not after all of this time.

Ritsu let out a small chuckle as Yomiko walked by him with out even noticing him. But, that chuckle turned into an eerie cackle as soon she saw him, and seemed fairly shocked by either how he was acting, or just that he was there in the first place. He placed a hand on the glass right beside Yomiko, as if he were blocking her from escaping. "It's been a while, hasn't it?" He asked when the cackle finally subsided. Now that grin on his face was wider and looked a bit...deranged....in a way. Now he placed his other hand on the glass, on the opposite side of her, trapping her right infront of him. "I've missed you..."

That cackle caused her to gain eye contact with him once more. She knew Ritsu would've changed after all of this time but, he changed in a way that wasn't right. It was almost as if he lost his sanity or something along those lines. The woman saw the signs. She witnessed them when she was overseeing the Maggot's Nest for that small time. Yomiko flinched a bit went he placed his arms to the sides of her. Now, she was confused and quite frightened. Yomiko Shihouin was frightened of Ritsu Downer. The woman would've never saw that day, but it has come. Yomiko tried to pull herself together, quite determined. She pursed her lips. Just what was he trying to pull?

"You've... missed me...," She whispered. "Please. If you have something to say, Ritsu, just say it now. I need to close my shop and head home... I'm very tired... and..." She trailed off before she sighed. "Please... I-I need to go..."

Ritsu only seemed amused by Yomiko's sudden desire to leave. He leaned in until his lips were centimeters away from her ear and whispered, "We haven't seen eachother in so long....Do you...hate me now?" The amusement in his eyes turned into a malicious glint of pure insanity. Now, the grin looked similar to the one he had when he left her so long ago. All of the scars on his face crinkling, and every last one of his metal fangs showed. He lowered his head down slightly until his heavy breaths were running down Yomiko's neck.

His breath against her ear caused her to shiver. Yomiko's heart started to race as he whispered in her ears. A very visible blush appeared on her face. Did she hate him? Not in the least. Back then, she just didn't want to see him get hurt. Her behavior showed this back then and she wished he would've understood what she was trying to do. Her breathing quickened as she felt his breath on her neck. Okay, this just had to stop and she knew it. In a swift movement, Yomiko shoved Ritsu away from her.

"W-What the hell are you trying to do!?" She asked him with a frown. "Out here, no less! Just what the hell is your problem!?"

"..." When Ritsu was shoved away, that grin faltered into a deep scowl, as, if not, even more terrifying than the grin. He staggered a bit, looking down at the ground before turning his gaze back at Yomiko. A low growl came from him as he approached her once again. This time, he tried to grab her wrists and pin her to the glass windows.

Once she shoved him back, Yomiko knew that there was definately something off about the man she once loved. Her golden eyes watched him for a moment, taking note to that deep scowl that was now on his face. Golden eyes hardened as she watching him come towards her once more. Using her legendary speed, Yomiko side-stepped his advance. This man has truly lost it. The woman frowned for a second as she opened the door to her shop.

"You need to leave. I don't know what s**t you are trying to pull but it ain't workin', bih..." She told him as she walked inside of her shop. Hopefully, he would take the hint and leave. If not, she would have to hurt him. The woman walked towards the back to where her station was, beginning to pack.

When Yomiko was out of Ritsu's way, he returned his arms to the position they were in when he had boxed her in, and dragged his fingers down the glass, making an ear-piercing screeching noise as his nails cut into the glass. The warning she gave him to leave didn't seem to have an effect on him. He covered his eyes with one of his hands and began laughing insanely outside of her barbershop. His laugh sounded painful, especially after lasting for what felt like hours until it finally died down into soft chuckles. The hand that was still on the glass became a clenched fist as he began to add pressure to the window little by little until it shattered. He raised his hand up to his face to lick the blood that dripped from the wounds caused by several shards of glass. "I'm not going to leave, Yomiko. Not again..."

The blaring music thath filled her shop allowed her to ignore the loud cackle that Ritsu emitted. She didn't know what the hell he was trying to pull, but she wasn't going to let him win. Just when she finally had got her life back together, he wanted to appear and take it back on a roller coaster. Yomiko knew she did not need that, not after all of this time. The woman cursed to herself, hoping that Ritsu would finally give up and leave, despite the feelings she did have for him. Yomiko stuffed her cellphone in her black Ed Hardy purse when she heard the glass from the glass door shatter. Golden eyes darted over in shock, watching Ritsu lick his own blood.

A mixture of anger a confusion was apparent in her eyes. Yomiko was furious at this situation. Now how was she going to explain this tomorrow. Angrily, she placed her bag in the seat of the beautician's chair. At this point, she didn't care that Ritsu was acting like a lunatic. He was disrupting her new life with some petty s**t that happened a while ago and somehow, in this process, managed to break her door.

"JUST WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR PROBLEM!? HUH!? IS THIS WHAT YOU CAME BACK FOR!? TO ******** UP MY NEW LIFE?! WHAT!? JUST WHAT THE ******** DO YOU WANT, RITSU!?" She screamed angrily. Her whole entire being was shaking with anger and some resentment. She needed to know answers, now.

"..." Silence erupted from Ritsu as Yomiko began screaming at him. Now, what came from him was a mixture of laughter and sobbing as he broke down in front of the door. He gripped the door frame to help support himself as he began to speak between sobs. "D-do you remember what you said b-before I left? Maybe the Ritsu you knew and loved wasn't r-r-real as well. Maybe it was me the whole time, pulling the s-strings of that little puppet. You hate me for c-coming back, don't you? You d-despise me for even showing up in your life, r-right?" Despite the constant sobbing, that grin slowly returned at that. "I should've d-died while I was l-locked up in there. I tried to kill Yuji in a d-desperate and useless attempt to bring you b-back...." He pulled a large shard of glass out of his hand as he stepped through the broken door. He was done talking now, and began to walk towards her, gripping the sharp glass in his hand.

Her heart dropped. No matter how mad she was then, she couldn't help but felt those troubling emotions she felt back then. What did he mean that the Ritsu she knew back then wasn't the real one? How could you fake a personality like that? She continued to shake, but this time out of fear. Yomiko just stared at him as he sobbed. Where did he get the idea that she disliked and hated him? Was it because of the yelling? Her golden eyes softened before she hesitantly spoke up. "I-I didn--- I don't hate you for coming back! B-back there... I-It was just... one of those defense mechanisms...," She watched him as he walked closer to her, with the large shard in his hand. Her eyes widened. "Please... I-I don't... hate you... I-I'm just sorry for making you go through all of that s**t.... A-All of this... is just...," She trailed off. Yomiko couldn't go on but she had to. "You tried to attack me back there... I'm... just... sorry..."

Even as she spoke up and tried to calm him, nothing changed. He didn't go through some random revelation and stop, he didn't fall to his knees and give in, he kept walking until he was right infront of her, the glass still in his hand. He slowly brought it up to her neck, the grin never fading from his face. "Do you really mean it.....?...Or are you just saying things in fear for your life?......." He asked before pressing the shard against her neck.
