Even though I will be living here in Belgium for quite some time now, I'm taking a lot of photos for my own reference. While shopping, Ivy and I can't help but comment on some of the stuff we think our characters would like. I thought I'd make a thread to share them with you:

This is probably Rachel's favorite aisle, it has these two right next to each other:



Statue of Liberty... football... and route 66. Yep, that's about as American as it gets.

And this is only vaguely related, but it's the best cheese ever. Too bad it's about 16 Euros (22 dollars) per piece.



And we haven't even gotten to Amsterdam yet. More pictures to come soon. xd

I've been meaning to update this for a while as I find more interesting things. Recently I went to Ghent, a Dutch city in Belgium (Belgium is divided among Dutch and French regions, with Brussels, the capital, being divided between the two). They had a festival going on, and while I was walking around I couldn't help but imagine the OA cast there. XD

This colorful children's ride had some worryingly familiar copyright infringement characters:


A ride in the ferris wheel offered a nice view of the very Dutch architecture of the city.



I also noticed a very... interesting sculpture in the middle of the city.


After messing about on the rides, it's time for a local snack.



Another thing I've seen on very special occasions are huge flower carpets that are painstakingly arranges in city squares a few times a year. I was lucky to stumble across one:
