Which are best, local bands such as Ska Gal and the hands of Ra or Ye Wiles (will make no sence unless you live in the South East of England), or global, famous ones like Less Than Jake or the Specials? Also, what do people think about huge record labels like Sony etc?

Well there's a lot of good local bands I know and quite a few good popular ones. I know a few people from a local band band in Manhatten Beach, CA called "Ska Shank Redemption". I'm also into some bigger names too, like The Mighty Mighty Bosstones and the Forces of Evil. I like good ska music! It doesn't matter if it's local or not.

Local.
Arizona's best local ska band is Captain Squeegee and the Soap Suds.

Yeah, we have some places that still do ska. Favorite being Minder Binders. It's a HUGE barn house with damn good food, and every Saturday is Ska Day. They have local ska, reggea, and ska-core bands play. It's really awesome.
