ANNOUNCEMENT!!!! cantonese lessons will be worked on during the summer, since the one who is supposed to be working on it can't at the moment because of school... so thank you for your patience
This is where the beginner lessons will be! So if you are just beginning cantonese chinese then this is where you should be!The following lessons do come from a legitamate chinese language learning site. Though the sight was sort of confusing i will try to make it easier to understand. Please tell me if the information is wrong, since i myself am not that great when it comes to cantonese. I will also be working on sounds because getting the sounds right for the chinese language, is very important for communication! And do remember that chinese is a difficult language to learn so don't become discouraged at the begining, because this is the hardest part, as you continue throughout learning the language you will begin to understand it and comprehend it better just like any other language! remember: NO POSTING!! Table of ContentsIntroduction: (very important please read before continuing the lessons)Lesson 1: Common Phrases and Personal PronounsLesson 2: Numbers, Months Days and the LikeLesson 3: Nouns

Preface _______________Welcome to the Beginner's Chinese class! So now what is typed below is from an actual chinese website, that was very confusing xp and was very hard to navigate through. So the following posts have been organized by me in an attempt to make everything easier to comprehend. So the set up of these lessons are as follows: the new words will be first in the post following example sentences unless they are phrases already (coming soon). At the bottom there will be a translation, though you shouldn't need one and after that there will be some quizzes/reviews to ensure that you grasp and understand the content well.Unlike the mandarin lessons i have sound for this!! so when you see a :b that means you can click for a link to the sound!! since cantonese has no official romanized writing system like mandarin with the pinyin hearing it is very important! But some of the words did not come with sounds so they do not have any but i will work on finding some... eventually!
