It's sort of like the what would you do if you had a Genies lamp. The only intelligent answer would be destroy the lamp. Sure you could get a few selfish upgrades to your life. There is no guarantee that you are dealing with a genie like on Aladdin. It could very well be one of those ones that twist wishes to try to make you waist your wishes. The chances are actually quite high if it was an actual wish granting genie and not a trickster. That a horrible wish would be made at some point in time by someone else. The source of anything that can dominate the world. Should be promptly dealt with in the same way.

It a being truly had the power to grant any wish, they would be beyond you. So the idea of destroying a lamp is out of the question. Containing it on the other hand is do able. Just cut a hole in a large peace of stone and seal it back up. People would walk right past it unless they knew it was there. This would assure it wasn't disturbed several hundred years down the road.

He power it would take to destroy a genies lamp would have to be greater then the genie inside. Otherwise there would be a mad genie running around free. Throwing the lamp into a black hole could in theory destroy it. But the effect of this would likely be the destruction of the universe. I believe hiding the thing from people is the only way to make sure it won't be miss used.

Nahhhh, I wouldn't, I'd be terrible at ruling the would. if I ruled the world bad things would happen because I would be out and about instead of trying to make everything run smoothly.

'cause if you don't have that, then your not human at all! gonk Of course, doing/creating prohibited material feels good...that's why we were granted the gift of Free Will to change that.
