New theory: As I, and a few others have mentioned the foremost character in the picture looks just a little bit too much like Issac, I am here to offer as solution - it is he. "But this cannot be!" I hear you cry, well I shall explain. I realise that it is now accepted that the game focuses of the different characters descendants and I'm not trying to challenge that. However, I'm sure many of you remember the Wise One clearly stating that some of the power of the Golden Sun had been transferred to Issac, denying Alex all the power her had hoped for, and we already know that the power he did get his grubby mits on granted him unnatural long life. So who's to say this didn't happen to Issac as well. And of course once trouble rears it's ugly head what would 200 year old Issac do but track down his friend's descendants and go all Obi Wan Kenobi on their asses.
So could this be true? I hope so 3nodding Yes I am referring to this little beauty: It's already pretty much accepted that these three are descendants of the original cast. So let's get started smile Issac lookalike There's not that much to say about this guy, he is more or less a carbon copy of Issac - scarf and all, although there is that compass on his belt, which could turn out to be an in-game item or indicate that he did some exploring before the beginning of the story. Garet lookalike The oddest thing here is that there isn't anything remotely firey about the psyenergy he appears to be using, in fact it looks more like bolt or plasma. This could either mean that a) This is just pure psyenergy, with no element, put in to demonstrate the this character is very much a "tough guy". b) He is actually a Jupiter adept, which seem very unlikely considering their traditional build and colouring. c) He has access to djinni. Also, this may just be me but he looks a few years older than the other two characters. Mia lookalike Probably the most interesting given that out of the three she looks least like her obvious counterpart. To me she comes of as slightly tomboyish, and although it's difficult to tell from her position I think she may have short hair. I don't think either of these things would be particularly important but they could be worth mentioning. More interestingly her hair is more turquoise (al la Piers) than it is blue, suggesting that she might be a Lemurian rather than a member of the Mercury Clan. I also noticed that the house in the trailer was exactly the same style as the ones in the other games. Given the release of Alchemy and the resulting acceleration of civilisation and all that jazz you would think that building methods would have changed...

Oh, if you think you're reading too much into the stuff, you haven't met us Kradenettes yet: http://z9.invisionfree.com/The_Temple_of_Kraden/index.php?showforum=85Click if you dare, for here there be shippers. Anyway, although I don't particularly care about the parentage of the characters, I think that the main character looks like the result of one of two pairings: Isaac/Feizhi, due to his general resemblance to Isaac but with purple eyes; or Felix/Sheba, and he just idolizes his good ol' Uncle Isaac and wants to dress like him. As for the second guy, I really like the look of him. I'm strongly leaning toward him being Garet/Sheba, mostly due to the resemblance to Garet combined with apparent Jupiter Psynergy. It's also been suggested that the lightning is a weapon unleash, but I find this pretty unlikely. None of the main characters began with artifact weapons, and I see no reason why this one would. I feel fairly certain that the girl is Ivan/Mia, probably the most certain out of all the three. Her blue hair suggests that she's a Mercury Adept, although I couldn't venture a guess myself as to whether she's Lemurian or not. Her outfit, with its white/purple color scheme, suggests a Jovian heritage as well. Sheba/Piers is also a possibility, of course, but I rather doubt this one. There you have it, just my thoughts on the matter.

Ooooh... I likes the picture. Thanks for posting it. I hope it's real. biggrin
I agree with everything you said. Also, another thing about the Mia lookalike that may point in the direction of Lemuria is that she has something covering the back of her hair, like Picard did. But, the turquoise-y-ish-ness could just be the way the colouring was done... perhaps in order to make it look cooler, they added an ethereal turquoise to her hair?
And, for the Garet lookalike, the axe itself could be Jupiter aligned, explaining the oddity. However, it is possible that he is a Jupiter adept, and the usual mold is being broken. Perhaps this dude is meant to show the power of Thor?

It's probably because of the relatively small picture size, but I think you're mistaking the girl's cape for a head-covering. When you look at the picture in a higher resolution, it's a short cape like the one Jenna wears (I've also heard this used as evidence that she's a daughter of Jenna). I seriously hope Garet Jr. is breaking the "Jovians are all squishy mages" stereotype. I love the idea of him being a tank, and I'm rather hoping that there's a Venus-aligned mage in the game too.

I certainly hope the artists aren't trying to fool us into believing these things loooooong before the game even comes out...

I mean, I like my theories, but this is Camelot we're talking about. Chances are, it's gonna be good.

Yeah, I agree. Whatever they do, it'll be good.
I really hope they reveal more information sometime soon though. Maybe something that will make this picture a little less blurry. 3nodding

I wouldn't exactly count on getting too much information too soon. That's not quite Camlot's style. As I recall, they didn't even reveal Mia at first when they advertised the first game.

Oh, I see. I'm not really familiar with Camelot, since I think the only games they've made that I've played would be Golden Sun and The Lost Age. And that was a loooooong time after they even came out. sweatdrop
Well, as long as they release little tidbits here and there to keep me interested. Otherwise, I might even forget that they're actually making it.

we can see admidetely that the issac-lookalike is vesus aligned because he looks like he bursting from the ground
the garet-lookalike is probaly a mars adept since the lightning seems to be coming from the axe so the lightning might be just a howl also he does seem older then the others but it looks like the issac-lookalike looks younger then the rest

brandonallison8970 the garet-lookalike is probaly a mars adept since the lightning seems to be coming from the axe so the lightning might be just a howl A lot of people have said that, but I don't think it's quite right. In the past, none of the characters have started out with weapons that have unleashes, so I seriously doubt that's anything other than Jupiter Psynergy. Also, to the thread in general, I was wrong about what I said before. It was Ivan they didn't reveal, not Mia.

Good point on Isaac having the Golden Sun. He could have changed his clothes a little.
And the Garet look-alike does seem to be using Jupiter Psynergy... and he does look older... Perhaps another side-effect of the Golden Sun?
And Mia's look-alive has a Jenna-like ponytail. You can see it in the battle scene featured in the trailor.
Altogether, I like your ideas because I fear shipping battles. But I believe there was an official announcement about them being desendants. I do so very hope that there's more than three playable characters D:
Sorry if any of this was addressed earlier in the thread, I'm trying to catch up on Gaia since I haven't been on in three years... I'm just skimming guilds

Question! Does the kid of adepts usually follow his or her parent's footsteps? Do they get their parent's powers usually? Isn't it possible that they use a different kind of psyenergy?

I believe fanon usually assumes that elements are genetic, but I don't recall it ever being officially confirmed. The fact that certain areas tend to have certain elements, however (Vale = Mars and Venus, Contigo and Garoh = Jupiter, Imil and Lemuria = Mercury, etc.) does suggest something along those lines, though.
