Sometimes Eris got tired of his siblings. He'd never tell them so, he loved them too much to ever hurt them like that, but still they got to be a little much from time to time. He didn't mind being bossed around, as the youngest it was his place. But every helix had his limits and so Eris had come upon his. Now he was just wandering around content to lose himself in the new territory he was calling home. The weather was warm with a slight breeze that ruffled his fur in a wonderful way.

 Tired eyes blinked slowly and bright eyes darted here and there. Shadow, a large, dark adolescent, yawned loudly as his tail thumped impatiently on the floor. Nani had gotten mad at him, again, because of his refusal to acknowledge her pups. He snorted disdainfully, ears flattened at the memory. It wasn't as if they were his pups. They weren't his responsibility.
Fur bristling angrily, he leaped quickly onto his paws. A walk was what he needed, he decided. Kashikoi sighed and breathed in deeply. He assumed it was daylight from the warmth he felt on his silver fur and a soft wind reached him. He lowered his head and continued his slow trot, fur matted, ears flat, ribs protruding, and tail low. If he didn't know any better, Kashikoi would think he was turning into an Omega. And he'd probably deserve it, too, he thought, after what he'd done to Sophie.
A soft whimper of regret slid from his lips at the memory of her. He hoped that she didn't feel too bad. He really was sorry he had attacked her. But it's done now, he reminded himself. There's nothing you can do.
His lips curled slightly. As if that helped him.

It wasn't long before Eris got himself lost in thought. Memories came to surface of a time long ago when things were simpler and he was much younger. Back to a time when his siblings and he could play without a care in the world as their parents watched with warm eyes and loving hearts.
Feeling the pain within his chest begin Eris shook his head as his body trembled without his consent. 'Don't think of that! You know what pain it causes you. Think of the now, think of the pack that is starting, think of your life here with your siblings!' but nothing he could tell himself stopped the ache within his heart.
So wrapped up in his thoughts and feelings Eris didn't notice the helix that was in front of him until it was too late. Knocking into the male Eris snapped from his own little world. "Oh! I'm sorry!"
