 Annabelle, a small pup curled along with two others next to her mother, whimpered and rolled over in her sleep. As she did so, she left the warm side of her mother and instantly felt the cold stone wall of the cave she called home, which woke her up quickly. Blinking the sleep from her eyes, she stifled her yawn so her siblings wouldn't wake up. Her ears lowered and she looked longingly at her mother's warm side. She wanted to snuggle back to sleep, but was afraid her mother would wake up, which, in turn, might wake Shadow.
It was a good thing, she tried to reason. After all, she didn't want her nightmare again. Which, by the way, she could still remember clearly. It was a dream about her father again. Not Shadow. No, she would never call him her father. But the other one.... She bit her lip, trying to recall his name. Cohmnall? Yes, Comhnall. Sometimes, she would remember the day he came and had his friend take two of her siblings away. She missed them, and often wondered where they were, and if they missed her and her other siblings, too. She would also hope that they at least enjoyed living with their father.
She snorted softly and shook her head, chasing away the thoughts, an action she had unconsiously picked up from Shadow. She looked at her sleeping family and then at the mouth of the cave. It looked as if the sun had just come up.
Carefully maneuvering around the sleeping helixes, Annabelle went to the entrance and, with one more look behind, took off. "Another day, another adventure!" Annabelle piped quietly to a bird singing nearby, a smile already plastered on her face.

Aliana yawned from her spot, curled up with her siblings. She wasn't very near to her mother, seeing as Annabelle had taken that spot the night before but she was close enough. Not that she minded being a little further away from her family, in fact, she would have preferred being as far away from her siblings as possible but it got cold at night and they were warm. Plus, Shadow didn't seemed to have cared that Aliana had been sleeping with her siblings, though he never really cared what Aliana did unless it involved him directly, then he usually was just mad. Aliana huffed as she woke, wondering what had disturbed her. She stretched, careful not to bump into anyone. She flopped back down onto the ground, intending to catch up on some more sleep when she realized the spot next to her mother was free. She narrowed her eyes, scanning their sleeping area but sure enough, there was no Annabelle. She'd snuck out. Aliana scowled, annoyed.
She scrambled to her feet, stepping over her brother's sleeping body to sniff at the spot next to Nani. It still smelled strongely of Annabelle so Aliana knew she hadn't been gone long. Briefly, she entertained the thought of waking up Shadow and Nani and getting Annabelle in trouble but she doubted their parents would mind. The sun was up, therefore, Annabelle had every right to be outside. Aliana huffed, carefully maneuvering around her family till she'd left their area. Peering outside, she squinted at the bright sun, her eyes struggling to get used to it.
No Annabelle.
That means she'd moved away from the cave. Aliana wondered if that would get the pup in trouble but once again, unless Annabelle had run away completely, she doubted she'd get in trouble that badly. Aliana huffed and moved further away from the cave, wondering what she could do now that she was awake and bored.

 Segugio snored softly, leg twitching every few minutes as he dreamed about his favourite pastime: Running. He was running through a big field of pink flowers, and his mother and all of his siblings were there. And Shadow was whining, and Segugio lifts up his back paw, and kicks him to the moon! And then---
And light bump caused him to stir ever so slightly, and he groaned to life, eyes blinking blearily as he watched whatever it was that had bumped him leave their peaceful cave. Rolling to his paws, a little red and white pup blinked curiuosl. That was Aliana... Looking around, he realized he was the last of the pups to be out in the sun, and he frowned upon this, but shrugged it off.
He padded to his mum, where he gave her nose a little lick, and then to Shadow, whom he 'accidentally' kicked up a cloud of dirt. And then, turning on his heels, he darted out of the cave, his speedy little paws skipping on the soft earth below him. He grinned as he eyed Aliana, and then....
"Gotcha!" he tackled her from behind, laughing as he landed on her, "You let your guard down, Li-Li. Hey, where's Bells? Momma's gonna be bloody pissed when she finds out you two wandered off. I gave her a heads up that I was leaving, at least. But hey, doesn't matter I suppose." Segugio grinned and hopped off his older sister, hopping up and down on the ground, "Anyways, let's grab Annabelle and go on an adventure! Sounds like a great idea, right? Of course! Come on, I'll race ya!" he laughed, before darting off again, a blur of red and white against the soft green around them...

Annabelle was enjoying sniffing daintily at a sweet smelling flower when a familiar sound reached her ears. "Uh oh." she mumbled and quickly stepped away from the flower, a little reluctantly, lest it make her look weak.
It wasn't long until her suspicions were confirmed when a small pink pup, with a large heart smack dab in the middle of his face, could be seen racing towards her. She gave an excited yip, attempted to rear up, and darted towards her brother so that they crashed mid-run. Of course, he had run faster, so she was pushed back, but it still exhillerated her.
When she had stopped rolling around from the momentum, she jumped to her paws and playfully pounced on her brother. "What'cha doin' Gio?" she asked curiously, tugging on his ear.

Aliana yelped as she was tackled by her brother, growling as he rambled on about something or other. She wasn't exactly sure what he said, because she hadn't really been paying attention. All she really registered was her own name, or rather the butchered nickname that Segugio had given her, and her sisters name.
She blinked as he ran off before she could even reply. She sat down, watching him disappear. She didn't really want to follow him, why? Because he was too fast and she really couldn't have kept up even if she wanted to. Plus, an adventure with those two? No thanks. That sounded like agony to her.
She huffed, trailing after them anyway but without any intent on actually finding them. She'd go on her own adventure, find a rabbit or something and take it back to Nani and Shadow. That would make Shadow proud, right?
Li-Li, that nickname haunted her. At first, she had protested but now there seemed no point. Segugio would call her that anyway, no matter how much she got angry at him. Plus, it was very difficult for her to stay angry at the pup. He was so happy and bouncy and bubbly and-and nice.
Unfortunately for Aliana's master plan of going off on her own adventure, she had stuck to Segugio's trail for too long and had actually found her siblings. She huffed, watching them wrestle together playfully. How disgusting. They were going to get all dirty and messy. She wasn't jealous, of course, she'd never want to be involved in that sort of playing.
She huffed and waited for them to acknowledge her presence.
