Alright, so we all know Role Playing is a whole bunch of fun in a large group, so most of us do it that way, right? However, there are a few advantages to RPing One on One.
For example, you're able to learn more, not just about the story and the characters as you post more, but also about the person you're writing with. You learn their style and vice versa. You discover the boundaries each of you is willing to cross and just how far the other person will go.
You also write in a much more intimate environment, (and no, I don't mean it that way, lol) allowing the characters and the plot to flow just a bit more smoothly. You can throw in as many or as little characters as you want, just because.
And the best part? Well, I've always thought it was the best part, lol. The best part is being able to actually discuss where you want the plot to go, whether or not you want to bring a certain scene to an end or if you want to kill off a certain important character. There is no waiting on six or seven other people to come to an agreement, no having to wait and decide on a decision that should take only moments to come to.
So yeah, that's all I have to say on the subject of why it's better. Wait, I lied. There is one more thing and I think just about everyone will agree...maybe. Or not, lol. While writing with a large group is always fun, you almost always end up so concentrated on all the other peoples writing, that you forget about writing because you love it, or to learn, you get so caught up in trying to out-do another person, or sighing in frustration over a particularly bad post from someone who's not so good at it, that you aren't able to improve at all, or to even enjoy it. I've always thought it was more fun and a much better learning experience when doing a One-on-One. In fact, it's how I started RPing, lol.
Okay, so that's all there is for why it's better, lol, I promise. Now, just a few rules, though most of them are the same as the Guild Tos.
1. No Flaming
2. Pg-13
3. Be Respectful
4. No Spam
5. Let the other person know if you're quitting.
So, let's get on to what this thread is actually for. You can either, A, post an advertisement for an RP through PM or through here, or B, Start and post a One-on-One RP here. That's all. If it doesn't have to do with a One-on-One or isn't one, it doesn't belong here. Period.
