I am a pretty crappy player at booty grab, somehow I always manage to screw up playing good tanks. Where tanks that are glowing with like 8 high trigger fish, that anyone else would get 800g+ I always manage to get 500g-600g... I always see people saying "Thanks, I got 1000g from your tank!" to someone and when I play I get 500g.... so I am a bad booty grabber. The powerdowns have it in for me and well I guess my strategy just sucks... oh well.

I know exactly how you feel! gonk Its always so sad when you get between 400-500 gold and you think that that's pretty good. Then you scroll down to leave a comment on the person's tank and everyone else is posting that they got 1000+. Its like "Are my gaming skills so deficient that I can't even do a simple side-scroller right?"

that happens to me a lot too... sometimes i swear they aren't keeping an accurate count of how much gold i've caught... xp

That also happens to me. I blame it on my mouse when it doesn't respond to my movements well. xp
Power-Downs (especially time and shell decreases) really drop my gold count considerably. xp

sometimes i move my mouse too far and it goes outside the aquarium and my overseer just kinda sits there instead of following the direction of the mouse and it takes me a second to figure it out.. that is usually when a powerdown runs into me.. neutral

I tend to run away from a bad power up only to end up on the side of the tank were like 2 coins are falling (so I loose all the gold) and then I hit the power up anyways gonk

I screw up too.
But it's not an issue concerning your "skills". It comes down to the matter of the powerups and powerdowns.
If I get 500-600 gold on a tank, and someone else gets 900-1000 gold. I'd like to think that it was due to a coin multiplier or a time increaser.

I know exactly what you mean. I think the highest score I've ever gotten was like 900something, and even that was a fluke. I see all these screenies where people have gotten 2000+, and I play the same tanks and get like 500. what the... o.O

I wouldn't sweat too much about it... when grabbing the same tank with mine and my mule, I can get far different results depending if the game wants to be filled with power downs or gold multipliers... I think they purposely programed it to do that........

Yeah, I know how you feel. I'm really bad with power downs. Every once in a while I'll surprise myself though lol. I just don't understand how people can get 2,000 from a tank.

I know it's probably not true, but it seems like whenever I manage to get a good booty grab tank I get pelted with nothing but powerdowns. Especially when I get a tank full of Lila's for some reason. When that happens I often don't see a single powerup the entire game - just an endless stream of reds.

My highest score ever was a wee bit over 2K, but I have had more times than many gotten more lag off 6-8+ glowing fish and end up with super slow speed and/or super slow gold flow dropping down....and will end up with roughly 500 gold.
I've also noticed a difference with browsers. In IE8, I'll spot more glowing booty, yet I'll experience more lag and less gold. In FF3 I'll spot less booty, but will end up with less lag and more gold. Yet, too I usually have music players going along with having at least 3-5 tabs open. rotfl It's still easy for me to earn 10K gold in little time playing booty (in good threads).
On and yeah, the better the fish are with gold, the more oversear decrease (shrunken head), speed decrease, gold decrease and time decrease I seem to land. lol

A lot of times my computer will just screw up and freeze or something once I come across a really good tank and my internets will have to restart. =_=" It's rather annoying.
