Jellicle Dance Final Night..! Three more kittens have been kidnapped, Moriolap, Ratterclack and Sazoimun, but the Jellicles have also successfully captured one of the catnappers and one cat was successfully saved before he could be taken to.. wherever the rest of the cats are being kept. The rescued cat never made it to the lair of the cats and cannot reveal more information than that it is somewhere in the park found downtown. With some of the tribe youth gone missing now and more information available to them, Vaertun has called the search parties back to the Junkyard. With helpful cats keeping an eye on the caught catnapper, he waits for those brave cats still wishing to help to return to the Junkyard. {To participate.. you only need to join in the RP. You may have cats join in later in the game, but now is when they should start arriving or be waiting around for direction.}

Magical Werefox Vulfelorik had had enough of the three adults he had been with. They just kept fighting with each other and not listening to reason, so he left them there.
Wandering back to the junkyard Vulf still felt frustrated that he hadn’t achieved anything so far. Well, he’d made a friend in Rue but even she was too busy fighting to listen to him. Sighing heavily, Vulf looked around at all the gathering cats and waited for Vaertun to give them their orders. DareDelvil Disappointed, Purrattica made her way to her usual spot on an old tyre. She'd tried so hard, and achieved all of...nothing. She'd known she wasn't cut out for heroics, but it was still a blow. And hadn't she heard other Jellicles whispering that there'd been three more kidnappings? Three more Jellicles lost? And one found, perhaps, but still - three gone!
Well, at least there was hope that the rescued Jellicle could tell them more. Watching Vaertun carefully, Purrattica awaited further instructions. Even if all she could do was to comfort her fellow Jellicles, that at least was something. mouselet "Vaertun!" The panicked and breathless voice was Inatarni's as the mostly-black cat ran up to where the Jellicles were congregating. "Vaertun...my kittens...they're gone!" she gasped out as she came to a stop in front of the leader. The whites of her eyes showed all the way around her red pupils as the mother panicked on behalf of her missing children. Antallian had no idea how his mate could keep up such a pace for so long! He trailed into the gathering a few minutes after Inatarni. Not that he was any less concerned...but how in the world could the woman run that fast!? He didn't think he was out of shape...bah, enough woolgathering. Two of their kittens were missing, and from the looks of things, something else was going on as well. Several minutes after his father arrived in the Junkyard, Satinnfes wandered in, looking for all the world like just another concerned young cat. Yes, his parents had expressly forbidden him and the rest of his siblings from leaving home...but what was life without a little adventure? Besides, Mori and Ratter couldn't be in that much trouble, right? Mom and Dad'd just find 'em, ground 'em, and that would be that. Right? Satinnfes took his place near the back of the ranks of cats so that he could still hear, but not be seen by his parents. A brown, female cat who was utterly unremarkable save for her red nose, slunk in to the rear of the gathering. Aside for something hard and devious in her eyes, she looked like any other cat here. Now, as long as no one recognized her, she was safe, even among the Jellicles. On the opposite end of the gathering from his mate, Mitorrien snuck in as well. More information was always necessary before planning something as big as they were...and they needed to know more about these catnappers. So, the two of them would pretend to be - his stomach turned - Jellicles. Just long enough to get that information. Then, they would be out of here. Effiltenik was seated up front, right near Vaertun. She hadn't had a chance to go out looking for the missing cats and didn't like where any of this was going. Then, suddenly, she was almost bowled over as a black and white cat raced for the leader. When Eff realized what the other was gasping out, she gave a mew of sympathy, and reached out to touch the other. "Don't worry, we'll find them," she murmered. Chibi Sheepcat It was a right shame that they hadn't been able to learn more from those silly troublemakers. And there hadn't even been any mice in that location to boot! Needless to say, Xatakwa wasn't too impressed with how their little hunt has progress. However, she was not going to mope around her yard when the Jellicles had been called to the junkyard, no siree! She would show up with pride as one of the few Jellicles who had been on the search.
The striped cat settled near her partner in crime, idly grooming one of her paws as she waited for further instruction. Things were getting serious now, as far as she could tell. It looked like some kittens had been captured with the rest. How unfortunate.
"I s'pose we're lucky not to have been nabbed ourselves," she mused quietly to Purrattica.
Pixelized Panther Cyrene stood about, looking around for her Moe, her partner. Had he got the message? She bit her lip hesitantly. He certainly didn't sound to well, hadn't he had a limp? She sighed, sitting with her tail curled around her paws. He's probably resting with his humans. She thought, somewhat reasurred by this. Wait, did he even have humans? She sighed, looking about. Cats had begun to gather, voices buzzing.
"Cyrene! Hey, Cyrene!" Ristretto called, spotting the dark red female. He seen the apprentice slip away, and figuring Regallegro could handle the 'napper, he followed him until losing sight of him in the mass of cats. Perhaps Cyrene could help... She had visited the coffee shop a few times before, flirted with him a few times. Usually he'd steer away from her, but in such dire need of finding a catnapper in training....
"Ristretto!" Cyrene sighed, padding over to him. "You're alright. Good," She sat next to him, and the two chatted about their adventures quietly, occasionally looking around to see more and more cats.
Gambi sat at the very front, tail twitching anxiously. Yes, he and Rait had caught a catnapper, but where was Rait? He had left soon after the catnapper had been caught. I hope he's alright... He thought, ears drooping.
Sazoimun was nowhere to be found. Fea Line Ooc: Hope its ok to jump in smile Cresellianamae (Creh-sell-ee-ah-nah-may) padded silently over towards Vulfelorik, her light blue eyes shining. Everything was so chaotic that she could hardly think straight anymore. She noticed the sad yet frustrated look upon the face of the kit, and prodded him gently with a paw. "Whats wrong sweetie?" she mewed gently, sitting down upon her haunches and curling her tail about her toes.

Jellicle Dance Vaertun sat a top a tire near the center of the Junkyard, keeping an eye on things but also watching for the familiar faces. Part of him worried that more would be missing, any kitten was too many. But one pushed from a tree and carried off.. it was alarming. His attention was caught by the young kitten that wandered in, and he stood up, worried but reassuring himself by remembering they were in the Junkyard, the safest place to go if you were a Jellicle. He hoped that would be enough to keep him safe. His attention was caught by the distressed mother when she ran up, announcing the disappearance of two of her kittens as well. He breathed deeply, offering a sympathetic look to the poor mother. "We're doing our best, we'll find them," he offered, thinking better than the mention directly to her that they had one of the cats responsible for the catnappings with them in the Junkyard. As cats began to gather, he tried to organize his thoughts. * Among the cats wandering into the Junkyard came a spotted cat with wide brown eyes, she looked concerned and took a place by herself near in the midst of the group. Her eyes went to the poor mother who'd lost some kittens, her ears turned as she listened to the worried words from the group. By all accounts, she seemed eager to help. * Vaertun stood, nodding his welcome to cats as they joined in the group. There were many of them, he was glad to have their help. "I'm sorry to call you all here under such sad circumstances," he called out, addressing all of the cats present, "We now have confirmation that the missing cats were catnapped, there are evil cats, those not welcome to our tribe, operating from the park. We have found one cat but now three- three of our own, three kittens have been taken as well." He did not look at Inatarni when he continued, but he was alert to any reaction. "We have captured one of the catnappers, thanks to Gambidoro-" he nodded to the gumbie cat gratefully, "And Raiteign-" he did not see the other cat around, but continued, "We haven't gotten any information from him yet, but we are hopeful. We need to work together, all of us, no more small groups.." Pixelized Panther ...But the rescued cat had taken his place. He slunk in quietly, head low. No, he didn't want to be any part of this. He didn't want the fame, the popularity, the questions. He was just happy to be home, and not at the base or wherever that nasty cat that had captured him had muttered about. But that kitten... His tail drooped considerably. That poor kitten, trying to fight for that silent mystical, for him. He sat in the middle, head low, as not to draw attention, tail curled around his paws, listening respectfully.
Gambi bowed his head respectfully, nodding in agreement. Had that cat not been a klutz, had either of them been in the wrong place, had either of them been kittens... He shivered. Yes, bigger groups were needed.
Ristretto paused from his tale of heroics to notice the mystical that had slipped in. She looked quite worried... Perhaps she knew one of the missing, or the mother? His eyes softened. Poor thing, she may have been an aunt, or dear friend. He sighed, and went back to his tale of almost capturing the devilish catnapper, though his comrade surely had handled the situation... DareDelvil "Very lucky, I should say," Purrattica answered in a murmur, not wanting to speak too loudly in case some important information was about to arrive. "Filthy cowardice, targeting youngsters like that. I hope to goodness they're all right..."
The appearance of the panicked black female was giving her pause. Didn't she look a bit like...no. Couldn't be. Not that cat, surely... Best not to mention it. She was obviously well known here, and Purrattica, a relative newcomer to the tribe, didn't dare speak out for fear of censure. She'd heard such terrible stories about a black cat with white bones, but...well, Vaertun must have known what he was doing when he allowed such a similar cat to appear in the Junkyard. Besides, it was probably just coincidence. An unfortunate case of happenstance; an accident of birth.
Mind you, being related to that cat might well be the biggest accident of all... Magical Werefox Vulf jumped slightly as the prod in the side snapped him out of his thoughts. “Hmm? Oh ‘ello there” he said glancing over at the female sitting next to him, “Nofin of importance is the matter, it just that sucks bein’ so small and gettin’ ignored all the blumin’ time” he kneaded his paws restlessly on the ground, eager to help the group out.
Surely all the Jellicles in London had arrived by now and the place was starting to get crowded. Vulf listened carefully as Vaertun spoke. He was determined to do his part to help find the missing cats and bring the evil cat-nappers to justice, "What'd ya want us to do first sir? I'm ready to help in whatever way I can!" he called out, sitting up on his haunches, in the hope that he might be seen better. Fea Line Cresellianamae purred, and couldn't help but smile. It was a welcome relief to the painful news delivered by their leader not but moments ago. She knew how badly the kit felt, wanting to help as much as he did, but being still very fairly new to the place herself, she felt she should let the older jellicles make the decisions. She leaned down to whisper into the kits ear, "I'll listen to you if you want." she smiled, despite the weight she felt crushing down upon her chest. How could a cat be so cruel as to kidnap kittens? mouselet Inatarni chewed her lip and rubbed her forepaws together, but she knew Vaertun could promise nothing more. So, she nodded and took a step back to be with the crowd, nodding to the brown female with darker brown markings in thanks for her kind thoughts. But! Three kittens missing? Oh how cruel could the world be? Who else was the unlucky parent? The black cat craned her neck around, trying to see if there was anyone else as maternally worried as she. The news of a captured catnapper went right over her head for the moment. Antallian licked his mate's ears and kept a hard eye on the crowd. It sounded as if Vaertun was getting ready to lead them into battle. He only hoped it would be enough to stop the evil cats and get their kittens back. Messilika's eyes narrowed. A Gumbie had managed to capture one of these catnappers? She couldn't think much of this group if they were so easily caught. But...perhaps once this massive group moved out, there would be an opportunity for a pair of enterprising and devious cats... The park, hmm? And why would this group of cats choose that as their base of operations? Certainly it had advantages...but there were also disadvantages as well. Mittorien wished briefly that he had taken the time to explore the place months ago, that he and his mate might have an easier time infiltrating in the near future. Satinnfes swallowed uneasily and began a cursory cleaning to calm his nerves. Kittens had been captured by these evil cats. No wonder Mom and Dad had wanted them to stay home. But...one of the enemy had been captured! They should question him and find out where Satin's brothers were! He almost voiced the suggestion himself, but then remembered that his parents were there...and he wasn't supposed to be. Effiltenik's eyes narrowed as Vaertun talked about the cats who were not at all part of the Jellicles. She could think of a pair right away who fit that description and who wouldn't have any qualms at all about catnapping kittens. In fact, she wouldn't be surprised to find her parents here, trying to be sneaky. Eff began scanning the crowd of cats, looking for a stunningly brown and startlingly white pelt. Chibi Sheepcat "They should be. Don't know any Jellicles who would take kittens and do 'em harm." Then again, she didn't know any Jellicles who took other kittens, so that wasn't saying too much. Still, Xatakwa had faith in these troublemakers. They wouldn't be taking kittens and other Jellicles unless they wanted something from the rest of the group, which should mean no harm would come to the hostages. It certainly wasn't very reassuring.
Xatakwa's eyes followed Purrattica's, and the striped cat let out a soft, amused sound despite herself. "Interesting… the kittens were Inatarni's." How very peculiar. Of all the Jellicles assembled, to go after her kittens. She was distracted when Vaertun spoke again, listening with quiet attentiveness. No more small groups eh? Pity. She had liked going on an adventure with Purrattica. Still, he was probably right.
"We didn't see any Jellicles held against their will, but there was a pair of mighty suspicious Jellicles around our neighbourhood. Lookin' for mice, they said, but they were lying. Pair of spotted cats, one white and one tan. Anybody else see ones like 'em?" She called out to those gathered, figuring it was a good time to share what information they had.

Jellicle Dance Vaertun's frown deepened when it was the kitten who spoke up first, with three already missing despite the initial warnings, he knew there were risks in saying that kittens should not be allowed. He was smaller even than those that had been taken, it was lucky he had stayed safe thus far. "No," he said, "No more kittens will be involved in this, they are obviously the target of choice here." His eyes did not move from the kitten. It was a brave little thing to wish so eagerly to help but they could not allow it. He was prepared to ask an older cat to make sure of it, too. * While the crowd continued to gather, dispersed throughout the ranks were some familiar cats. The dark female who'd taken the yellow kitten moved in, her eyes passing over the longhaired cat she'd left behind in the tree to be saved and she muffled a laugh. She made sure not to go near him and took a seat near the red-nosed brown cat near the back. She recognized the queen, though vaguely, but otherwise tried to blend in. The orange tom moved more eagerly towards the front, his eyes immediately drawn to the cats who couldn't be anybody but the parents of the two kittens he'd taken. It was far too tempting, he couldn't help but go closer. He chuckled to himself, taking a seat off to the side but near the front, not far from the worried parents or the lucky gumbie who'd caught his friend. * The spotted female's ears perked at the mention of suspicious spotted cats and she turned to look at the cat who spoke up, considering what she said. Not too bright if they'd been caught, not at all. Vaertun looked to Xatakwa when she spoke, then looked for anybody else who might offer information. He'd already had a description of the cat who'd taken Sazoimun but he wasn't sure on anybody else. Pixelized Panther "I saw a catnapper," Cyrene called, standing up proudly. "It was.. Female, I believe? An' brown, with lighter stripes along her legs, and I believe she had an accent. Talked like, uh, 'Still, ya look a far bit better than those snotty housecats will after Da Boss gets done wit' 'em!'" She quoted, hanging her head sadly, sitting back down. "She escaped while Moebokk was about to catch her, however."
"I saw a--" Ristretto started, but was quickly shushed by Cyrene, who doubted that any ounce of his story was true. Magical Werefox As the female whispered in his ear Vulf relaxed a little. She seemed nicer then the other adults he’d met so far, and it was a very kind offer, even if she had no idea what he was talking about, “Thanks, but it doesn’t matter much now. I’ll keep it in mind for later though” he didn’t want to be rude to the female who seemed so kind and sweet, but his mind was focused on the more important missing Jellicle matter.
Then, as Vaertun answered him, Vulf felt his ears droop slightly and the hurt was clear in his golden eyes, “But but sir! I’m not some weakling kitten. I may not be able to fight so good, but I’m fast and can disappear into the shadows!” Vulf was angry. How could Vaertun be so unfair? “I really wanna help sir!” He couldn’t understand that Vaertun really meant well, it just seemed so unnecessarily mean to him. mouselet Inatarni nodded to herself as Vaertun baldly stated that no more kittens would be involved. It was a shame he hadn't said so earlier, but she would content herself with what she got. Speaking of got...the female's mask-marked face swung around and looked at the crowd. "Does that cat have the kind of spots you meant?" she asked loudly, pointing at the unknown feline. Antallian started as Inatarni singled out a cat from the crowd. "Ina...why would one of these catnappers want to sneak in here?" he asked in a reasonable tone of voice, trying to calm his mate before she became irate with worry. He glanced around nervously. There were no few cats here that he didn't recognize...but that didn't make them bad, did it? Messilika gave the dark cat now beside her a suspicious glance. She didn't know her by sight...and the dark female didn't reek of housecat. But it was far too dangerous to suggest anything out loud - she would almost certainly reveal herself, and she was in no way ready for that. Instead she merely sniffed and returned her attention to the drama unfolding before them. Now...this was truly becoming interesting. Mitorrien wondered if it would be possible to turn Jellicle against Jellicle in a kind of witch hunt. He began scanning the crowd for possible...victims. Satinnfes gulped nervously and edged a bit behind a striped cat sitting near him. He really didn't want to be kidnapped like his brothers, and it was starting to sound as if even the Junkyard wasn't truly safe. Maybe he should've stayed home after all... Effiltenik could feel the rising waves of anger and nervousness emanating from the gathering of cats and she tried to look faster. She could almost swear that her parents were here, somewhere. She just had to find them before they could do anything bad. DareDelvil ...She was seeing enemies everywhere. Purrattica shook herself inwardly, chiding herself for being silly. Just because she didn't like the look of the boned female didn't mean she was bad, for goodness sake. The enemy was out there in the park, holding Jellicle kittens captive! It was not here at the Junkyard wanting to help!
Unless...
Quite suddenly, she began to scan the crowd. She kept one ear trained on Vaertun for further information, but most of her attention was upon the assembled cats. Once again, being a newcomer worked against her: she recognised less than half of them. Blast! Even if there were spies in their midst, she'd never be able to pick them out. She'd have to call in some help.
"...I'm getting paranoid," she murmured to Xatakwa. "I don't know who anyone is - can you see any cats you don't rec- oh, hold up, Bony thinks she's got something..."
She turned her gaze upon the indicated stranger - and started. Everlasting Cat, the pattern was almost identical! But no, that wasn't one of their troublemakers. And as paranoid as she was, she still didn't want a witch hunt. "They did have spots like hers, but this queen wasn't one of them," she said, loudly enough for everyone to hear. "One was white, the other a paler brown. The brown seemed to be in charge of the pair." Fea Line
Cresellianamae sighed, pressing her ears against her head at Vaertun's words towards the kit next to her. She would the sooth the kit, but she didn't think it would exactly work right now. He seemed so down. She gently laid her tail on his shoulders and was about to speak, when another cat pointed out a possible catnapper. Her blue gaze darting over to the spotted cat. She was still learning everyones name and had no clue who the female was. "Surly they would not be in our own clan would they?" she spoke, her timid honey like voice filled the air.Pixelized Panther Gambi nodded again at the new, hopefully stronger ban against kittens hunting. Goodness, they'd have no more youngsters left in the tribe if they were allowed out! His ear flicked towards the ginger cat that had sat near him. He gave a swift glance at him. Hm. Ginger tabby with stunningly blue eyes. He didn't look that suspicious, and surely no catnapper would sit in the front... Right?

Jellicle Dance "No kittens," Vaertun said sternly, looking at Vulf with a very serious look. He could see the kitten didn't understand, wasn't worried, but he would never put another kitten purposefully in danger. He was distracted, though, when Inatarni gestured to a feline sitting in the midst of the group. "Me?" she asked, surprised by the sudden attention upon her, it wasn't evident just how accusatory the remark was meant to be but it certainly didn't come off as a simple question, "I'd be careful who you accuse, I know a cat who matches you who's caused her share of trouble." Her ears turned when one of the others confirmed the likeness, her head soon turning to look at who spoke this time. The dark female and striped male also turned, keeping their eyes on the ones who spoke. The male was distracted momentarily by the nearing kitten, a grin crossing his face as he realized.. it was another one of the bony cats. About the same age, matching colors, it had to be another brother. His eyes wandered around the group, everybody was distracted, perhaps he could get away.. two already, now a third, right under the noses of his parents. He couldn't resist! Until he felt more eyes on him, the gumbie noticed him. The troublesome gumbie who'd gotten his pal. Still, the tom was nearer the edge and between most of the group and the kitten he so wanted to snatch.. he would have to be careful but it could still be done! Scaramouche Fandango Rumextress padded gently to the gathering of cats, nursing her wounds from the fight with the catnappers. She noticed one of them in the gathering, but he seemed... respectful? Ashamed? Sorry? Perhaps he wasn't as sinister as she'd assumed, but she'd been too busy fighting to ascertain the truth. The kitten was the wisest of all of them... shaking her head, she put the fight out of her mind. She'd seen no true catnappers, she supposed, so she could not help identify them. But she could help go after them... if it came down to that.DareDelvil So it wasn't just her! Someone else had spotted the resemblance to...ugh, she couldn't even bear to think the name. What a coward she was! Purrattica shuddered, but did her best to keep it hidden. After all, if she was going to defend this spotted female against accusations (which she really ought to do, given she hadn't seen her do anything wrong) then she oughtn't to judge the black boned queen by her looks. Or her possible parentage. Ugh. If it was true, and the queen was still a good Jellicle, then she pitied her for having come from such a dreadful beginning. Chibi Sheepcat Xatakwa nodded in agreement when Purrattica, recognizing the spot pattern on the cat in question. Yup, that was just like the two they made met in the backyard. For a moment she studied the queen, however she wasn't entirely sure if she knew her or not. Certainly, however, she did look very close to the two they had met searching for their "mice." What an unfortunate coincidence.
"I wouldn't be throwing around remarks about accusatory this and that, you know," she said casually, flicking her tail. "It makes you seem like you're worried about something. You don't know any cats that look similar to yourself, do you? The ones we met relatives of yours or something? Not that anybody can be blamed for the actions of their relatives, but it would be good to know if you knew anything about these spotted troublemakers."
Magical Werefox
Vulf huffed at Vaertun's words, before slumping back down into the crowd. Why was everyone so sure he was useless? He found himself cuddling up to the female next to him for comfort. All he wanted to do was help, why couldn’t they just stick him in a lookout post or something?
As everyone around him started becoming wary of the spotted female, Vulf sat up again. His gaze falling onto the spotted female who spoke, she seemed mysterious that’s for sure, but didn’t strike him as cat-napper material.mouselet Inatarni went rigid with shock and outrage. "How...how dare you! I no longer have anything to do with that wretched creature who bore me!" The black cat was hissing and spitting, red eyes narrowed on the spotted female. "Calm down, Ina!" Antallian tried to lick his mate calmer, but she only shrugged him off. So, he began trying to at least force her to lie down, so that maybe she wouldn't attack the stranger. "Fighting among ourselves isn't going to solve anything, you know that, right?" Hmmm. Perhaps the time had come to act. But, why reveal herself when it seemed there were others in the crowd to act for her? They seemed eager to make war upon themselves...but. But there was still the dark cat beside her. Messilika fixed her neighbor with a look and added a questioning headtilt towards the shouting to gauge the other. A nasty smile curled around Mitorrien's lips. "How do we know that, Eskeleta's Daughter? Do you really think we can trust you, given your parentage?" Almost before his shouted words faded away, the white tom was slipping sideways through the crowd, off to another place to sit, where he might cause even more trouble and sow more dissension. The young cat was shaking nervously now as he listened to the accusations fly, most especially the ones about his mother. What was going on? He knew his mother didn't talk much about his grandmother, but that didn't mean she was evil...did it? The cat opened his mouth to defend his mother when he remembered once more - he wasn't supposed to be here. Oh...damnit. Now what could he do? Effiltenik started as she heard a very familiar male voice. Eyes narrowed she scanned the crowd further as she cried out to the rest. "That's it! Not everyone here is a Jellicle! We should look for a white tom with two big black spots and a black tail also!" Pixelized Panther Hengari slipped in quietly while the adults were distracted with Vaertun speaking. Hah! So this is what all the hype was about. He had been itching to go out and explore, and catch the 'nappers, but his mother had kept him under close eye. (Which has odd, for her.) However, he had quietly followed his mother, making sure to stay far out of sight. But he was here! He gave a triumphant grin and seated himself as far away from his mother as possible, ending up somewhere near the edge of the crowd, near the back.SilverLynx Aeryomant trotted up behind his parents. He sat with them quietly, listening with concern on his face. He wouldn't have come tonight at all, but he felt it was important that he do something. But he would not travel alone, not with all this insanity going on. It was interesting to see how many cats had shown up - few he knew by name OR sight. He began to purr to calm himself. This was one of worst things he'd ever heard of. He lowered his eyes in sadness. Fea Line
The tan and cream colored female pressed the kit to her belly with her paw, her ears flicking in every direction. What if the catnappers were here...right now? She wouldn't let them take anymore kits, thats for sure.
Her blue eyes narrowed on the female in question, but another cat struck her attention more. She didn't jump to any conclusions, as she really had no clue who any of these cats were - not even the kit at her paws. Instead, she tensed her muscles and kneaded her paws anxiously. Shouldn't they be taking some sort of action by now instead of sitting around and pointing paws?
DareDelvil Purrattica felt her fur stand up on end, and though she did her best to flatten it her tail still looked like a bottle-brush. So the black and white was the wicked Eskeleta's daughter! Well, thank goodness she seemed to be as horrified by that as everyone else -
"Not everyone here is a Jellicle!"
...Or perhaps not everyone else. The description that followed was enough for Purrattica - who'd been nervously looking around ever since she arrived - to pick out a match within moments. Forcing down the fear, she rose up and with wide eyes and bared teeth pointed out the tom in question.
"That's him," she hissed. "That's your white tom. If he's not a Jellicle, he'll answer to the tribe!"

Jellicle Dance "And why shouldn't I defend myself against accusations?" the spotted female shot back to Xatakwa, "Everybody seems happy to accuse and a mother would do anything for her sons, she can't be trusted to be reasonable." She said nothing more, her words were cut off as more cats spoke up, particularly one calling out the same bony cat. She could not confirm or deny any relation to the troublemakers, which was lucky for her. Vaertun watched with increasing worry, he could not find a place to interrupt the group until suddenly the worried words of the brown cat nearby reached his ears. He knew exactly which cat she referred to, cursing himself for not thinking to watch for the pair.. The dark female sitting near the back was alarmed by the alert put out, they knew not everybody was a Jellicle but.. they were looking for the wrong ones. She got to her feet, trying to get a view of what exactly was going on. Her neutral look turned into a smirk, it was all too perfect. The striped male was startled, cursing under his breath as his plan to snatch the white kitten was delayed again by the sudden attention on.. everyone. Everybody was being suspicious, everybody knew something was wrong. He, too, was pleased when nobody looked his way. He got to his feet and advanced warily when the white tom was pointed out, sure he would appear to fit in if he helped in this hunt. "Stop him," Vaertun called, worried that he might try to get away. Accusations needed to stop but they couldn't let a known criminal wander in their midst freely, they had no way of knowing if he was involved or not. Fea Line Cresellianamae flattened her ears and sprung to her paws. All this paw pointing and accusations had clouded everyone's judgment, or so it seemed. Perhaps she was fortunate not to know who was who in this situation.
Just them, the only one she did know, Vaertun's words caught her attention. 'Stop him!' ... 'Stop him?' she thought, her blue gaze darting over to the white tom cat. Her fur bristled and her tail increased in size. She hissed as she slunk over towards the brute, every hair on her pelt standing on edge. Her claws flexed into the ground, ready to leap at any moment should he try to escape.Magical Werefox Everyone was extremely tense, calling and and pointing out suspicious cats in the group. Vulf didn’t recognise most of them himself so he couldn’t really judge who was good or bad. With a quick glace to the female at his side, he stretched slowly and quickly and quietly began to make his way over to the spotted female who had been accused.
He heard Vaertun shout ‘stop him’, but couldn’t tell which cat he was referring too. Did he see Vulf sneaking amongst the Jellicles towards the female and still think that she was a threat? With a small squeak, Vulf ran swiftly up to the spotted female in question and ducked down behind her, “Ello, please don’t give me away, I’ve just come over to chat”mouselet It was probably a good thing that her mate outweighed her by so much because the one thing Inatarni wanted at that moment was to flay alive the male who spoke so nastily about her ancestry. "L-let me at him, Antallian!" she hissed and spat and tried to claw the white cat off of her. "Ina...Ina calm down or you'll just make his accusations true!" The male was trying his best to keep his mate under control, but Inatarni was a lot stronger than he'd expected and it was all he could do to just keep her from running off. Wait, one of the cats here really wasn't a Jellicle? Now it wasn't just a "maybe," it was real. Satinnfes found himself unable to move out of fear. Not even to cry out to his mom that it would be okay, or something else equally meaningless. Messilika's eyes narrowed as a young female called out an alert to her mate's presence. She scanned the area and, yes, there she was. Effiltenik, her disappointment. Here, as a Jellicle, and right up by Vaertun where Messilika didn't dare go to punish her. Well...she'd get her chance. The dark cat got up with the rest when Mitorrien's location was pointed out, but Messilika stood her ground. It was safer if she did nothing in his defense. They'd meet up again later. The Jellicle wimps wouldn't do any lasting damage...and they'd then have one more reason for revenge on the tribe. Mitorrien laughed long and loud as he was singled out of the crowd. "Me? Not a Jellicle? Well that's all well and dandy, but you should look at who told you to find me! My own flesh and blood has betrayed me, just as we do in the alleys!" He fixed Effiltenik with a nasty grin. "Dearest daughter, you've helped me so much today, doing my work for me. Thank you m'dear, and try not to get too damaged on your way home." Eff was busy searching out her mother, content to leave Mitorrien in the crowd's capable paws, when she heard her father's voice again. The brown cat froze as her father implicated her as his associate in causing chaos to break loose in the Junkyard. No! This couldn't be! She was a Jellicle, a good cat! Chibi Sheepcat Hey hey hey! This fight was getting in the way of her information gathering!
The striped Jellicle frowned, tail flicking behind her as everyone scrambled to get a hold of themselves. One cat was claiming that this tom wasn't part of their tribe, and that tom was claiming that his daughter had done the dirty work for her. It was a darn mess and she couldn't even enjoy it! Jeesh. Today wasn't getting any better.
Still scowling, Xatakwa held her position in the crowd, red eyes scanning the rest as she tried to make sense of it all. All this commotion would do them no good. If there was one traitor in the midst their must be more. No one Jellicle could have done all the kidnappings. There must be henchmen here.
"Just get the tom and stop fussing! If he's not on our side then he's not going to be the only one!"

Jellicle Dance Vaertun knew enough about the family, he knew not to trust the white tom and he tried to keep an open mind and heart for those unfortunate creatures born to the ones who could not be trusted. He trusted Inatarni. For now, he had some trust in Effiltenik. Were she truly on the side of her father, she would certainly not be called out by him that way. She might call him out for some devious reasons, but a daughter on the side of the Jellicles was more valuable than a daughter on your own side in the midst of the Jellicles. "Don't listen to him," he warned, "We can't trust what he says." The spotted female backed away as the attention turned entirely away from her. She glanced to those cats advancing on the white male, and back to where the brown female was also now standing. Then she looked around the whole area before slowly inching back from the group, turning to walk around the outside of the group. The striped male moved in on the white tom who was laughing at the rest of them, still trying to blend in with the group. The dark female had nothing better to do than keep her eyes on the rest of the group, she didn't particularly like the even perspective Xatakwa took, reasoning out nearer to the truth than the rest of them. She saw the spotted female start to move, made a face and turned around herself. She weaved around the red-nosed feline near her and moved along from the outside of the group as well. Fea Line
Cresellianamae growled. Everyone was still standing around talking and doing nothing. "Enough Chatter! Shall we stand around further point paws or do something?!" she called aloud. Deciding to be the first to leap - even if that meant life or death - she aimed her claws at the white tom, though all she wanted to do was, hopefully, keep him pinned down so he couldn't escape. "Friend or Foe, you will not escape tonight." she hissed at the white tom, despite her heart pounding harshly against her chest.
Scaramouche Fandango Rumextress was aghast at the discovery of the villain. She felt her blood rise with her fur. "No, he will not leave!" she called. "He will not leave until he answers for what he's done!" More than anything, she wanted to know why he'd done it. The thought of kidnapping kittens... "And until he tells us who helped him!" Though she was hidden at the back of the crowd, Rue thought her voice had carried up to the front, or at least to the white tom. She prayed to the spirits that the kittens would be brought home safe and the Jellicle tribe could eject any who'd helped this monster. Magical Werefox He wasn’t even noticed. Again! Vulf twitched, sure it was true that that time he didn’t want to be noticed, but he did want to be acknowledged by the spotted female. How else was he supposed to get the information he was after? Sighing heavily once again, he watched as the spotted female slipped away to the outside of the group, his head tilted slightly to the side as he noticed another female doing the same thing, “Now what’re they up to?” he muttered to himself.
Vulf felt like calling out and warning the group of the strange behaviour but he knew he probably just get scolded for still being there, or even more likely then that, he’d almost certainly get ignored again. No, he would have to find out for sure what they were up to before making any attempt to sound the alarm.
As silently as possible, Vulf made is way through the group, ducking down behind various pieces of junk that were lying around as he went. What was this female up to? Perhaps she wasn’t as innocent as Vulf first thought.mouselet Mitorrien couldn't have stopped laughing if he tried as the Jellicles surrounded him and advanced even closer. It was too sweet. He had no doubts that he could - and would! - escape their custody, but for now he would buy time for his mate and attention from the rest of the non-Jellicles in the crowd. A good day's work, and all thanks to his misguided daughter. The dark cat and some of the other somewhat suspicious looking cats were now moving towards the outside of the group. Messilika made up her mind and followed her former neighbor. If her hunch was correct, the female would eventually lead her to some allies against the Jellicles. And that...would bring her dreams of destroying the Jellicle tribe one step closer to reality. Satinnfes wasn't even sure what was going on anymore and he too rose and headed for the knot of cats weaving around the white tom. All he knew was that there was safety in numbers, especially for young cats (he refused to call himself a kitten), and most of the cats were now over there. Antallian was having some success getting Inatarni to calm down, mostly because the crowd was now attacking the white tom (both physically and verbally), when he saw familiar boney markings in gold on white on a tail as it disappeared into the crowd. Oh...please no. The white cat screwed his eyes shut and hoped he hadn't seen what he'd just seen. Inatarni panted, winded for the moment, as she watched the cats around her move, trying to pick out which one (or ones) might have stolen her babies away. She would get them back. Even if it was the last thing she did. Even if it meant becoming her mother's daughter once again. The black cat winced away from the thought, but it didn't change the fact that she, as a mother, would do whatever was necessary to get her precious kittens back. It was probably a good thing Antallian didn't know her well enough to know what she was thinking. She knew he would be disappointed in her. Now it was Effiltenik's turn to freeze in shock. Vaertun wasn't calling anything out about her, at least, but she was fairly certain the leader recognized her as Mitorrien's daughter. Which meant that he likely wouldn't trust her completely. Shoulders slumped in depression, Eff lay down where she was, praying that all the insanity that she'd unknowingly helped create stopped soon...and without her being kept in the same place as her father. The search for her mother was forgotten. DareDelvil ...Hold on, where was the speckled female going now? It was a good thing others seemed to have the white tom in paw, because Purrattica's attention was by now elsewhere. She was watching the speckled one. There was a darker queen moving in roughly the same direction - both away from where Vaertun had said to go, both away from the white tom they were supposed to be stopping. This couldn't be right, surely! And after she'd defended the speckled one! She felt like calling them out -
But hold on, hold on...was that...oh, Everlasting Cat, the little kitten was following them! Her heart leaped into her mouth, and she tried to make her watching unobtrusive. If something was going to happen, she wanted to be able to see it coming. She wanted to be able to do something about it this time!

Jellicle Dance Vaertun had a good vantage point of what was going on but the crowd was enough to block his view once the female pounced the white tom. He could no longer see him, and no effort from his perspective could get him a clear view. Confident the Jellicles could handle it for the moment, he turned away from them and glanced back in the direction the captive feline was being kept. Perhaps they could use him and find out if they were allies. The spotted female picked up the pace, moving quickly around the group while they were distracted, not putting any mind to if she was spotted. The dark female followed after her eagerly, completely unaware of the two tagalongs they had with them. Trying to use the chaos to his advantage, the striped male backed away. He kept his eyes on the goings-on, having all seeming of a cat only hoping to avoid the crowd and trouble. Once he was free, he turned around and went to go off. Misjudging where he was standing exactly, he was caught by surprise when he was face to face with the tom trying to hold back his mate. Cocky but also realizing the jig was up, he dared to grin at them before side-stepping and darting past them. Magical Werefox Vulf found an old, tipped over and broken wooden chair to hide behind, as he watched the females pacing around the group. Ok something was definitely up. He was sure of that now. Looking back at the group he thought about calling out, but he still felt they were too preoccupied with their suspicions to actually listen to him.
After a few more seconds of staring at the two seemingly shifty females, Vulf decided it was now or never. Leaping up onto the side of the chair he pointed a paw at the spotted female, at the same time turning his head to look back at Vaertun “Oi, something’s up over ere!”SilverLynx Aeryomant was nearly trampled under a field of cats streaking this way and that. Nervously, he picked away from them, clambering up onto an old pile of tires. He mewed softly to himself at the battlefield before him. But where were his parents now? His eyes flashed from one cat to another. He couldn't see them at all. Why on EARTH had he bothered to come out tonight? mouselet Mitorrien kept laughing, even as he was tackled, scratched and otherwise dog-piled on by the Jellicles as a whole. They just didn't get. They would never get it. It was just too perfect! Antallian was staring off into space when he became aware of a striped tom standing in front of him and Inatarni. His eyes narrowed in confusion when the tom grinned before darting away. The white cat was trying to make sense of this and he loosened his grip on his mate as he puzzled it out. Inatarni knew immediately what was going on when the striped tom grinned at her and she began growling low in her chest. She also felt Antallian's grip loosen for a moment and, with a silent apology to her mate, the black female launched herself like a rocket after the male. She was going to get her kittens back, and gods all help any cat who stood in her way. Messilika realized she wasn't the only one following one of these probably-not-Jellicle cats and raised a mental eyebrow at the kitten. The kid clearly had no idea what he was doing, nor what he was getting himself into. In fact...if these two were catnappers...it could be worth it to come before them with...an offering. Then the kid got onto a chair and shouted. Cursing him and all his relatives, the brown cat sidestepped neatly and hid in the shadows, still keeping an eye on the cat she was following. At least the kitten didn't seem to have spotted her as well... Effiltenik stayed on the ground where she was, hot tears starting to soak into the fur beneath her eyes. It was all going wrong. They were going to fail and they'd probably never succeed in getting the kittens back, and it was partially her fault. She raised bleary eyes at a kitten's shout, but couldn't see much because of all the cats in the way. Standing, she was fairly certain neither cat was her mother, and so she didn't care. Messilika was probably out of sight by now, if not gone entirely anyway. Satinnfes was stepped on, pushed aside and accidentally scratched no few times as he worked his way through the crowd, no longer certain of where he was or where he was going. Desperate, he tried pushing through to find a gap where he could at least figure out what was going on around him. Fea Line
It seemed that attacking was doing no good, since the brute didn't seem to make any effort to escape. Pricking her ears to the sound of a tiny squeak, she looked around to spot the kit she had been with earlier. He was sitting in a chair pointing at the spotted she cat.
Doing her best to leap out of the mass of cats, she sped over towards Vulf, eyes wide. "Whats the matter?" she cried, eyes darting between the kit and the she cat. Her tail lashed violently, cutting the air with its silent swishes.
DareDelvil The kitten was right. Something was up. And Purrattica was not about to let it slide. She sprang over to block the retreating cats' path, for the moment not realising how many of them there were. Her attention was on the speckled female, the one she'd defended, who was now trying to slip away.
"Now listen, you," she growled, all her fur standing up on end. "I don't care whether you are or are not related to those spotted troublemakers I saw - I'm not letting you leave this gathering until we find the truth. I stood up and spoke out for you in front of the tribe, and this is how you thank me? If you're not a wicked cat, you're certainly acting like one!"
She tried to keep the kitten in her peripheral vision, but he seemed to have a queen watching over him now. Besides, there were only so many cats she could watch at once. And she was rapidly realising that there were now three cats heading in her direction, at least two of them looking distinctly unfriendly. Oh, please, please let someone notice and come to her aid! Where was Xatakwa? Or Vaertun - yes, let Vaertun notice and come to her side! Or even the bone-cat's daughter, wherever she was...someone, anyone, any good Jellicle to stand by her and stop her from being torn apart! Chibi Sheepcat Arg this was ridiculous! How were they supposed to get anything accomplished with all this chaos? Xatakwa hissed under her breath, red eyes darting around as she tried to get some semblance of what was going on. Jellicles were moving and talking everywhere! Speaking of which, where had Purrattica gotten off to? She couldn't leave her somewhat shy hunting buddy out there to fend for herself!
It took her a moment to locate her newest friend, but when she found her she didn't like what she saw. Purrattica was confronting that spotted cat, the one that she had asked about. With everyone running around like stupid dogs nobody would ever notice if several of the Jellicles left. And if they left with more kittens the tribe wouldn't know what to do. First things first: she was going to back up Purrattica. By the looks of things, her area wasn't looking to happy.
The striped Jellicle hopped off her perch and made her way towards her friend. She would have her back if the other cat needed it.

Jellicle Dance Vulf's cry might have gone unnoticed, but the concerned Jellicle leader was quick to realize the kitten was still about and active in the investigation. Nevertheless, Vaertun turned to see what he was pointing out, seeing just the stand made by the striped female before very suddenly he was on the ground. Very suddenly upon the tire, the familiar pair of spotted cats successfully made their ambush. With all the Jellicles so concerned with what was going on on one side of the Junkyard, the other side was mostly left to any who might take advantage of it. It was all too easy! The white and spotted tom stood on the old striped Jellicle, holding his head down against the tire with ease while the tan tom stood smirking down at the Jellicles. The striped male was well aware of the fact he was being followed but even he was distracted when suddenly there were more cats on the high part of Junkyard, holding down the silly leader. He stopped, bracing himself but looking back for the reaction in the group. The spotted female ignored Purrattica, looking up at the spectacle on the tire with a giddy laugh. Magical Werefox More spotted cats?! Vulf quickly jumped off the chair to conceal himself as he watched the two toms take down their leader and hold him in place. Then with a small squeak, he rushed to the side of the female cat he had befriended earlier.
Now what would they do? He himself couldn’t fight, and he couldn’t do any real magic to make them disappear, he truly was as useless as everyone thought, “What’ll we do now?” Vulf whispered to the female as he snuggled as close to her as he could.mouselet Inatarni was blind to the growing commtion behind her, focused only on her victim. She knew something was happening behind her as the striped tom stopped to look. That was her chance! The black female put on another burst of speed and launched herself at the enemy cat, claws and fangs outstretched to do the most damage possible. Antallian was watching his mate speed away with a lost look on his face when he heard the ruckus behind him. Turning swiftly, he gasped to see Vaertun on the ground at the mercy of the two spotted cats someone had warned about earlier. "No!" he whispered in disbelief. Mitorrien was still laughing, though he was beginning to wheeze as well from laughing so hard that he needed more air, and of course from being somewhat squashed under other cats. He had no idea what was going on, but it was all part of the joke anyway. Satinnfes managed to push through the crowd and the first thing he saw...was Vaertun's face on the ground, and a strange spotted tom standing on the Jellicle leader. The young cat was frozen once more with shock and hoped that the spotted cats wouldn't notice him because he really didn't want to try and fight his way through the crowd again. Effiltenik raised her tearstained face to see the most horrific sight imaginable - a pair of unknown cats holding Vaertun captive. "No, stop!" she called out. "They've got Vaertun! They've got the Jellicle leader!" Messilika watched the spotted cats and the dark female from the shadows and smiled her approval. She doubted this little arrangement would last long...but it held a great deal of promise. Perhaps she should consider revealing herself...no. She was certain the Jellicles outnumbered those who were not in their tribe at this moment, and Mitorrien had already been taken. There would be no outbursts from her this day, unless if it was absolutely necessary. DareDelvil "You!"
Purrattica knew those sorry hides. They had Vaertun! And she'd let them escape! A wave of sickness came over her. This was her fault. She'd allowed them to ambush the Jellicle leader, she and her negligence!
"Do you think the Jellicles will stand for this?" she yowled, furious with a mixture of fear and remorse. "Do you really think we will let even one of you escape after this outrage? You cannot put your foot on the neck of this tribe so easily as you seem to think!" SilverLynx Aeryomant heard the cries of triumph from above him and saw Vaertun tackled by a pair of cats. His mind began to race - those no-good cats were attacking the Jellicle leader! And with no one else paying attention they may really hurt him! Looking around for any sort of object he could use, he realized he was sitting upon a VERY unstable tire. Sure he was rounder than your average adolescent kitten - but really, that might make all the difference in the world. Jumping up to a higher tire in the pile, Aeryomant calculated his leap for a moment, then jumped as hard as he could on the edge of the loose tire he had been on moments before. There was a horrible squeak as the tire pile shivered, and then the tire came loose with a pop. Naturally, Aeryomant was going along for the ride, which he hadn't really thought through. All he could do was hope that the tire would hit the spotted cats and leave Vaertun unscathed. Fea Line
Spinning around, she noticed the leader being forced down by two strange more spotted males. Feeling pressure near her belly, she leaned down and quickly licked the kit on the head. "Someone has to do something. Everyone is just standing around confused or scared..." she mewed, wishing the kit was larger..... but then again...
"Your small and fast right?" she thought for a moment. "How do you feel about weaving around their paws, nipping at their belly, and distracting them?" she meowed quickly. They wouldn't take a kit serious and while they were distracted, Cres would slam into the spotted tom and free the leader. Or at least that was the plan.
Seeing a wave of tires now crashing down, she shouted at the kit "Now!" she hissed, leaping into the fray of falling debris.
Magical Werefox Vulf nodded quickly in agreement. Her idea sounded great, why hadn’t he thought of that, “Good plan!” wasting no more time, the kitten dashed off towards the two spotted males, climbing up the junk pile and running between their paws, nipping at the bellies as he went.

Jellicle Dance The white spotted tom did nothing but stand and laugh while the tan spotted tom stepped forward. His eyes fell to the striped cat yelling furiously up at them, he definitely recognized her. He chuckled, "You'll be good if you want your precious elder here to stay safe." Neither tom were counting on the attack with the tires. Vaertun only glared up at them from the uncomfortable position he was being held in, his concern was not himself but what the Jellicles might do. The spotted female, though blocked by a couple of Jellicles, did not miss what was happening. She growled as she realized the round kitten was attempting to get them off with a chaotic attack of tires, something dangerous for the whole lot of them and not just the two cats he aimed to hit. "Watch out!" she called up the spotted pair. The white tom was slower to react, but before he could do anything the tan tom shoved both he and the old Jellicle leader off the tire they were perched on-- just in time to be bowled over by the luckily-aimed tire Aeryomant shoved free. The dark female behind the spotted female acted fast, jumping between the spotted female and the two Jellicle females in hopes of giving her a chance to get away. The striped tom had braced himself but he was not ready for quite the attack he was struck with. He was knocked over by the dark female but he didn't let her get an opportunity to gain the advantage. His claws were out and his teeth were bared as soon as he hit the ground, yowling loudly, he fought back. Meanwhile, the white tom and Vaertun tumbled down the pile of junk. DareDelvil Though the falling tyres had confused her for a moment, forcing her to leap aside with a yelp of dismay, the actions of the dark female made everything suddenly very, very clear to Purrattica. Neither of their two troublemakers were the leader. Nor was the dark female, nor the ginger tom she'd just seen go down beneath Eskeleta's furious daughter. Nor even was the laughing madman, that dreadful white tom she'd set the crowd on at first. It was the very spotted female she'd stood up for. She was at the heart of all this - or why would the dark queen be protecting her?
Others could and would look to Vaertun. The queen protecting the kitten seemed capable, as did many others. Her task was a different one, and it was now as clear to her as the bright Jellicle moon.
"Xatakwa! With me! The spotted queen!" she yowled, making a desperate spring past the blocking dark female. She probably wouldn't make it. She'd probably be torn out of the air. But the dark one couldn't get both her and Xatakwa, and others would follow their lead. The wicked cats' leader would not be allowed to escape - even if it meant that Purrattica had to go down, and go down hard. Magical Werefox Vulf froze as he heard the shout to ‘Watch out!’ Not the smartest move as the tire came crashing down on top of him. After a moment of cringing, Vulf opened his eyes. Was he dead? It certainly was dark. Looking up he saw a light above his head and peeked his head out; soon realising he was in the middle of the tire. He’d missed getting squished by a whisker. With a sigh of relief he climbed out of the hole and looked down at the group of Jellicles, he was still feeling slightly dazed and couldn’t really work out what had just happened.mouselet Inatarni hissed in return and, though she took a few scratches of her own, continued attacking the striped tom relentlessly. Some corner of her mind knew that ripping him to shreds wouldn't do much to get her kittens back, but most of her was reveling in the violence she was causing, harkening back to the days before she'd met Makarni... Satinnfes gasped as the white spotted tom and Vaertun began sliding down towards the Junkyard floor. Unthinking, the young cat scrambled after the pair, trying to do something to the white tom. If the spotted female meant to get away, she would soon find it hard. Messilika considered the situation. "I think we might have some common...interests," she whispered softly to herself as she watched the chase. Should she offer to share her hiding place with the spotted female...or hope that the other cat escaped so that she could follow her to her leader? Like his unseen son, Antallian also jumped in to try and help his leader. Unfortunately, he snubbed his nose squarely on somebody's rump, got shouldered from both sides and generally and unknowingly got beat up by the Jellicles around him in the rush, until he was sitting by himself, behind the crowd, shaking his head to clear it. "No no no no..." Effiltenik collapsed again, crying. She couldn't see any way to help Vaertun that others weren't already leaping to do...and she didn't even know if they would trust her to help. Mitorrien's laughter was renewed as he heard his daughter shout again. They had Vaertun? Well well well! These strangers certainly knew their business...it was enough for him to admire their quick and effective work. Perhaps he and Mess should really consider joining forces with them... SilverLynx Aeryomant cried out in horror as he saw the tire strike Vaertun. He was falling quickly as well, his paws reaching for anything to grab onto. There was nothing he could do as he fell down the pile of trash. He managed to grab at a pipe that was sticking out, but all it did was flip free and spin off in another direction. Finally he landed in a pile of horrid-smelling refuse and had just enough time to look up and see a pile of garbage cascading down around him. He winced and was buried. ((Nothing heavy is on him - he'll have to dig himself out, though.)) Fea Line
Cresellianamae lept gingerly from one tire to the next, desperately trying to keep her balance as more trash came crumbling around her. Realizing she was getting no where, she used the force of the fall to hurry her pace back down towards the spotted tom. Sizing him up, she kicked off the tire she was sliding down on with all her might, and came crashing down on top of him in a rather sloppy, but mostly effective manner. Her head spun as a blow from a heavy tin can smacked her on its descent. She blinked her blue eyes for a moment, trying to clear her head. She shuffled her paws, feeling fur beneath them, and instinctively unsheathed her claws.

Jellicle Dance With someone before her, the spotted female knew she'd been discovered as soon as she heard the one who stood up for her and then to her call out for help. That was not where her concern was, though. Neither was it with Messilika and her .. offer to join forces, perhaps. No, now that there was some space between her and the cats surrounding her she moved quickly. She leaped away, clambering for the pile where the tan tom had been run over. The white tom and the Jellicle leader landed at the bottom of the pile of junk, taking a fair amount with them, which was a hindrance to the white tom, especially when more came flying his way. Unfortunately, the fall did not put much distance between him and Vaertun. He was about to get up, aiming to shove his way to the currently motionless old tom when a cat came flying at him. She effectively freed him from the junk but left him with another problem, the cat on top of him. The striped tom fought furiously with the dark female before finally giving her a good shove and freeing himself, but not without leaving a fair chunk or two of fur with the female. He got to his feet, very distracted from what was going on with his side of the fight. "Good kids, your sons," he commented, clearly taunting her, "Not too bright, though. Off on their own, picking fights with those that they ought not to pick fights with! And then after those two dark ones get 'napped, the pale one shows his face here." He didn't know if she realized Satinnfes was here, but he was glad to point out that he had noticed. Magical Werefox Vulf made his way shakily down the junk pile. His heart was still pounding in his chest from the shock of almost getting crushed. Still slightly in a daze, he looked around for the female who had been so supportive of him through all this. mouselet Hmm...perhaps not quite yet. Messilika was careful to move stealthily towards another hiding place, in case the spotted female decided to leave her to the mercy of the Jellicles. Well, it would be mercy, but it would delay her plans futher. Idly, she wondered if the spotted female was mated to one of those toms. Inatarni spat out the mouthful of fur she'd gotten and hissed at her enemy again. She began circling until he started talking about her sons. Pupils constricted to pinpricks, the black cat launched herself at the striped tom once more, not even paying attention to the meaning of the words coming out of his mouth. Those were her children and he was throwing their disapperance in her face! The black female was quickly lose all touch with reality and her world narrowed to herself and her enemy. Somewhere deep inside, a feral kitten reared her head and lashed out. Inatarni's attacks grew more savage and her tricks became dirtier as the fight went on. Antallian shook his head again to clear it and looked around. There was still chaos in the direction where Vaertun and the spotted tom had tumbled, something was going on with a spotted female...and there was next to nobody by the laughing white tom. Relieved to find something he could do, the white and gold male went over and sat squarely on the non-Jellicle. This way he could go nowhere at all. Mitorrien's laughter faded into wheezes as a large tom sat right on top of him. He thought about getting mad, but that would serve little purpose at the moment. Instead, he held his paw where he could see it and the other male couldn't and flexed his claws to make certain of their usability. Satinnfes wasn't thinking much more than his mother at this point, and he threw himself at the white spotted tom who'd attacked Vaertun, almost totally unaware of the cat on top of the tom. He didn't know for certain what he could do...but he had to do something! Effiltenik was so overwhelmed...she had no idea what was going on anymore. Tears streaming, the brown cat ran for the Junkyard entrance, hoping to simply get out of the chaos the meeting had dissolved into. DareDelvil Miraculously, she'd got past the dark female. Purrattica didn't stop to think on her good luck any further. She tore after the spotted queen, eyes wide and mad with desperate fury. She would stop her. She would take her down no matter what it took! Scrambling over the piles of junk, for once glad of her experience in running away from things (although now it was more running towards things), she finally got within reach of her quarry and sprang at her with a hiss. She'd been the tool of this cat, been used against her tribe once too often. This time she'd put the wicked queen in her place - at the bottom of the junkheap! Fea Line Shaking her head, she realized who she was sitting on and hissed deeply as she aimed to dig her claws deeper. It was then she noticed a young cat attacking the spotted tom as well and she remembered the kit. Looking around desperately, she spotted him wobbling around a tire and sighed with relief. He was safe - for now. Even though she was lighter than the male, she did her best to place all her weight on top him to stop him from getting to Vaertun.

Jellicle Dance The spotted queen had no interest in pointing out the mysterious cat who'd spoken to her, she was leaning over the tan spotted tom. His head lifted, finally, and he offered a small smile to the dark female before turning his attention on the on-coming attack. There was only one cat paying the two of them any attention, and he was intent on stopping whatever assault was aimed for the spotted female. He pushed himself to his feet, though shakily, and put himself between her and the approaching Purrattica. He hissed, but he would not be much good as it was. The dark female, evaded, followed after Purrattica as she scrambled up the heap and towards what was now unmistakably the cat in charge. The white spotted tom took advantage of Cres' distraction and kicked her off of him, some of his fur leaving with her claws. He was not prepared to be attacked by another cat- but this one was much smaller. He snarled and shoved at him, he had to get him away, get all of them away, he was supposed to be on the leader. If he hadn't been shoved off the top of the pile, they'd still have the advantage! The striped tom dodged the first strike, laughing in the face of Inatarni as she struck out. He was amused, not winning the fight but he was not losing either. He fought back with equal ferocity and much more amusement, something that would no doubt get in the way. Dimitri Obsidian The mystical saw no point in returning to the rest of the tribe in a hurry. She move with a slow, weary gait, her head down and her tail dragging along behind her, weary from the chase. That female... she had watched in horror as the kitten she had sworn to protect was snatched, and try as she might, she couldn't catch her. The dark female had dipped down one too many alleyways, and Quietstion lost her. She didn't want to see the look on the parent's face when they found their kitten was missing. She didn't want to see her elder's expression of horror when he learned that she had been there and had been of no help...no, had practically led the little one into the female's jaws. She felt miserable. As she dragged herself home, though, a sudden tumbling noise caught her ears. Ever-wary, she quickly stood to alert, then carefully slunk arrow piles of junk until she found the scene of chaos. Cats - and tires? - were everywhere, and many of them she was not familiar with. A fight? Unsure, she lingered in the shadows, watching with hesitance.
Regallegro couldn't believe he'd let that damn catnapper get away! All huff and puff, he irritatedly wandered through the streets. He, too, however, had heard the tumble; but unlike the mystical that hid in the shadows, he came running as though he had been called for dinner. What on earth...? Standing in broad view at the entrance of the junkyard, he watching for a brief second in confusion and horror at the scene before him. He wasn't sure what to make of it... He moved a bit further into the junkyard to try and sort the situation out. mouselet Satinnfes hissed in pain as he was shoved away by a clawed paw. Red marks appeared on his white fur and the younger cat tried to swipe at the spotted tom with his own, smaller claws in retaliation. It wasn't fair, damnit! Messilika's new hiding place afforded her a good view of the chaos involving leader cats and her eyes narrowed. This whole thing looked like it was swiftly coming to a head. She itched to be out of this place, this junkyard the Jellicles had claimed, but she had to stay to see what happened. She had to know. Almost delicately, Mitorrien inserted a single sharp claw into the rear of the white tom sitting on his chest. It went in easily and smoothly, and he couldn't resist jabbing the other four in while he could, before removing them all to better let the other male get away from the pain. With a howl of pain, Antallian jolted up off of Mitorrien. His white butt was marred by five bleeding holes and it hurt!. He curled up on the ground, trying to lick the blood off and looking for all the world like a feline version of the dog chasing his tail. Inatarni growled savagely and continued attacking. Her reactions were slightly faster than when they'd begun and as often as not she was choosing to allow the striped tom's attacks to hit so that she could get a better shot in. Her pain was no longer relevant - she didn't feel it and didn't acknowledge it at all in her thirst to take down this one cat. There was very little left that was sane in those red eyes, and there was a thirst in her to have the tom's blood on her claws and on her fangs and in her mouth. Effiltenik cursed herself for being several times a coward, but she made it out of the Junkyard easily and sprinted for home and Fissintal. Of all people he would understand. He had to. Right? The brown cat was soon too far from the Junkyard to see it, let alone hear the commotion still going on. Fea Line
Thrown from the spotted tom, Cresellianamae hissed as his hind feet met her gut and knocked the wind from her chest. She landed with a soft thud, as she shut her eyes and gasped for air. Silly for her of thinking she could hold a male cat down, but at least she slowed him down right? Shakily getting to her paws, she noticed the smaller male cat was still on the attack. Looking around for Vulf, she let out a mrrow for help. "We have to slow him down!"
Magical Werefox As soon as he heard the familiar female’s cry Vulf rushed to her side, “You ok?” he hissed in the direction the male had gone in, before turning back to his friend, “I nearly died!” he was still slightly in shock but felt kind of proud of himself for some reason.DareDelvil It occurred to Purrattica, too late, that she was hopelessly outnumbered. The tan male was shaky on his feet, though, and she quickly decided to try to barge past him as best she could. He wasn't important. It was the dark spotted queen she wanted! With a screech - "STOP HER!!" - that would hopefully get the attention of any useful backup, she launched herself at the wicked cats' leader, not much caring who stood in her way. If it was the tan male, fine. She'd take him down and make him hurt, like she ought to have done back in the garden.

Jellicle Dance The white tom was so close to the fallen Jellicle leader but it wasn't working out in his favor. There was too much attention on him, too many cats crowding the way. Nobody made any direct movements towards him so he took advantage of the opening and launched himself for Vaertun, landing and this time digging his claws in. Vaertun was half buried, not having had time to get himself dug out, he struggled to push himself out and up but the white tom was large and positioned well enough. But his movement gave clear sign that the fall had not harmed him seriously. The tan tom hissed viciously at Purrattica, not liking the attention she was trying to draw to them. He stood his ground, trying to keep himself between anybody who might approach and the spotted female behind him. Meanwhile, the spotted female, seemingly reassured of the tan tom's well-being, took a look around, taking a quick survey of just what was going on now. Such a delightful mess! The striped tom was working hard to keep up with the dark female attacking him but his motivation was considerably lower than hers. He was only out for amusement, for whatever trouble they might cause for the Jellicles, to do as he was instructed.. this queen was fighting for her kittens, was a mother suffering a loss. A temporary loss, but he certainly wasn't going to let that information slip! He kicked out and used his head to try to push her fang away from his neck, even though it put his eyes and nose in a dangerous spot. Though his breath was heavy and slow from the effort, he managed a manic laugh. "Beating me won't get your kittens back," he taunted. Passion, motivation, fury.. they made for good tools in a fight but were quick to blind you from the big picture and to keep you steady and sharp enough to realize weaknesses- both of your enemy and the ones you left open to them. DareDelvil Filled with the desperate desire for vengeance, Purrattica was hardly herself. Her mind was all swift calculations of size and angle and how much damage she could do to this wretched spotted tom with one paw, two paws, all four paws and teeth. She was smaller and lighter, but she hadn't just been hit with a tyre - and she had the advantage of speed. She struck the spotted tan tom at such a rate of knots that it felt like all four paws, claws extended, had connected at once. She went for his face, for his eyes, for his ears, for his neck, for anything and everything delicate she could reach. He was going to pay for this - and then, once she got him out of the way (the thought that she might not manage to do so was distant and unreal), she'd see about the leader. The spotted queen, at least, was smaller.Magical Werefox Vulf watched in horror as the white tom leapt onto the still half buried Vaertun, “Oi! Pick on somebody your own size!” he shouted, before leaping up onto Cres’s back, and using her as a launch pad, hurled himself onto the white tom, digging his claws in deep and biting the back of his neck. All his fur stood on end as he climbed up to the tom’s ears and leaned over, making an attempt to scratch at his eyes, “Get off him you thug!”mouselet Half of Inatarni's attacks were no longer because she wanted her kittens back. The other half were just her desire to rip him to shreds and otherwise destroy him. Even killing, if that would satisfy her rage. The black cat really didn't care anymore... Mitorrien took advantage of the pain he had caused to get to his feet and survey the situation. The gathering had largely dissolved into a few dedicated spots of fighting - there was likely little he could do to gather information that Messilika wasn't already doing, and he had been IDed to the Jellicles as a whole. It was the white tom's turn to exit Junkyard right. Antallian was too slow on the uptake to stop Mitorrien and he looked around desperately for something he could help with. His eye fell on a familiar white tail with a gold bone pattern near the white tom attacking Vaertun. Antallian bulled his way through the crowd of cats and expertly grabbed his son by the scruff of his neck. Satinnfes was gathering himself to leap on the white tom when suddenly something grabbed him from behind and lifted him into the air. The young cat yowled and tried to scratch, but it did no good, he was caught fast. "You dirty catnapper, I'll shred ya for this!" he yelled. He managed to crane his neck around and - oh - saw a very familiar face looking at him less than happily. The young cat stopped fighting and adopted a sulky attitude. "I was doing just fine until you grabbed me," he pouted. Messilika continued watching, noting as her mate made his escape. So, it would be up to her to stick around until the end, if only to see what went down. She returned her attention to the Jellicle leader's fight...was the white tom trying to kill Vaertun? And if so...who would then be the new leader? A very interesting question indeed. Fea Line Cresellianamae was knocked down by the force of the kitten leaping off her back despite his tiny size. She bounded over, latching on to the white spotted tom's tail with her teeth, and did her best to swipe his paws out from beneath him. She hissed through fur and swiped viciously.
Pixelized Panther Gambi yowled angrily from the back of the crowd surrounding the Jellicle leader. Why wasn't anyone doing anything? He gave a hiss of annoyance and attempted to charge through the crowd, and with his size, it wasn't hard. He pushed and shoved his way through the wriggling crowd of cats, and managed his way towards the front. His eyes flickered across the scene, formulating a plan. Sure, he could charge head-first into battle with the white tom, but he had no idea what the tom was capable of. Aside from taking down the leader. He thought grimly.
"'Ey, you!" Gambi snarled at the white tom, ears pinned far against his head, tail lashing. "It's not nice to attack those older than you." Aw, nevermind the waiting. He was larger, bigger, faster (hopefully).... He leapt out at the white tom, teeth bared and claws extended, ready to pounce on the catnapper.

Jellicle Dance The white tom snarled when there was suddenly a kitten on him, laughing loudly when he realized what it was- such a stupid creature, jumping out like that. It took almost no effort to throw the kitten off but it served as a suitable distraction as the assault by Cresellianamae was well aimed and threw him off his feet. He rolled on the ground in an attempt to get the irritating female off his tail, but at the same time he was moving himself away from Vaertun. He had no choice, though, he was too crowded. Any cries directed at him went unheard, his focus was entirely on the cats physically attacking him. The tan tom was determined and seemed to get a second wind as he jumped back from the attacking Purrattica. He hissed and swatted back at her, shifting his weight onto his back legs as he prepared to launch himself at her. He was beat to it, though, as the dark female made it to the top of the pile and pounced into the striped female head first, hoping to get her down, making no effort to prevent any slips or falls off the pile of junk. The spotted female realized quickly that nothing was being accomplished now, if not for the tire and the fool decision to knock the pair of cats off the top of the pile.. well, things might have worked out differently. They had caused some harm but now they were only in a position to lose, and she was not going to lose. With a yowl out to her mates, she moved around the fight before her and hurried down the hill created by the junk. Clearly intent on making a getaway while they could, as long as she got away, they would still have their hostages. When his taunt got no reaction, the striped cat knew it was useless to keep taunting. She was angry and she wasn't going to give up. With a more forceful effort, he managed to shove her head away from his, though he could feel her claws dragging through his skin as he worked to pry her away. He was looking to get in a good attack when he heard the howl from the spotted female, knowing exactly what it meant and shifted his weight as he prepared only to shove the crazed female off of him. DareDelvil "The spotted queen!" Purrattica screeched. "The leader! Don't let her esc-AAAGH!"
The dark female had just collided with Purrattica, carrying them both off the pile of junk at high speed. Luckily they landed on a fairly soft heap of cardboard; less luckily Purrattica was underneath. She bit and clawed viciously, trying to get free. She had to stop the leader! Someone had to stop her! And this wretched dark thing was in the way, and she would not allow that. The more pain she could cause, the better.Magical Werefox Vulf went flying, narrowly avoiding hitting his head on several pieces of junk that he flew past, before skidding across the ground. His whole bodied ached, but he hissed loudly and slowly climbed to his paws. With a slight limp to his walk, he rushed back as fast as he could to help Cres.
Seeing the white tom was now on the ground, Vulf ran around to his face, biting down hard on the tom’s ear and scratching at his nose and eyes. He could see Vaertun was still slightly buried but he wanted to keep the tom from hurting Cres before seeing if their Jellicle leader was alright.mouselet So, it seemed the spotted female was in charge...at least of this little...expedition. Messilika wove her way through the shadows to keep the other cat in her sights. This then, was the one who would lead her, hopefully, to allies. The brown cat kept herself tense, ready to run whenever the spotted cat did. Antallian found a quiet corner in the Junkyard to settle and keep his son out of the fray. He briefly considered taking his mouth off of the boy's neck fur, but the very fact that Satinnfes was here led him to believe that would be a VERY BAD IDEA. So, he settled in to watch the madness. Satinnfess hissed and spat, yowled and scratched the air, trying to get out of his father's grasp. Damnit, It Just Wasn't Fair! All the big cats - even his dopey dad! - got to have so much more fun than him. Even that silly brown kitten too! And all Satin could do was hang from his dad's mouth and fume. The striped tom wanted her off of him, eh? Well, Inatarni refused to let go! She dug her claws in deeper and tried to get as many sets of them into the tom's body as physically possible. Then they heard the howl. Something changed in her enemy's tactics and Inatarni dug in even deeper. There was no way she was letting go of him now! Only over her cold carcass! Pixelized Panther Gambi gave another snarl. No response? Fine. He swiftly leapt upon a pile of trash and rebounded off of it to hopefully give him better aim at the white tom. His claws unsheathed and mouth open and ready to bite and claw whatever he made contact with. He just hoped he could reach the tom in the first place. Fea Line The tom's tail was forced from her jaws, though she managed to take fur and blood with her. Spitting out what was in her jaws, she reared up on her hind legs and pounced on the tom, her front claws fully extended to their limit. "Filthy feline!" she spat, battering him as fast and as quickly as she could, trying to keep his attention away from Vulf. She wouldn't let a kit get hurt, not if she could help it.
Dimitri Obsidian Regallegro kept his ears pricked as he looked from fight to fight to fight. There was too much going on! He couldn't concentrate on anything! He contemplated lingering on the sidelines until he had heard Purratica's screech. A spotted female? He scanned the gathering briefly before his eyes settled on what he assumed was the female in question. Brown, with dark spots...well, he certainly didn't see any other spotted cats running away. "I got 'er!" he yelled to the gray mystical, tearing through in an attempt to cut the female off.

Jellicle Dance The white tom was quite surrounded, having little chance of defending himself against so many cats. He howled in pain as he felt some fur near his tail rip out and the cold feeling of blood dampening the exposed skin and near fur. With two cats, Cres and Gambi, upon him, he only had one hope-- and that was to lie still. He became motionless, though tense, and turned his face into the junk as he hoped to end the assault upon him. Vaertun was shaky but he pushed himself into an upright position. The fall wasn't good for him, he certainly would be walking with a limp for a while. The call from the spotted female was what finally forced him into conscious action once again. Purrattica was right, the spotted queen was the leader here and it was her call that made it an absolute certainty. His vision was blurry and he wouldn't be any good, but he turned to those near him, hoping to get their attention. "N-no!" he cried, "Get her, stop her!" The evil cats upon them now had no kittens for the Jellicles to take, and they would not take them if they did.. they had to use something else, turn the same ploy back on them. Aim for the leader, just as they had targeted him. The dark female was oblivious to what else was going on, her goal was to keep the striped cat busy so the two spotted cats who were otherwise being left alone could get away. She dug her claws in and tried to keep them moving. She ignored the pain she felt, trying to return it. The spotted female was already on her way out, stopping once she was at the bottom of the pile only to look back over her shoulder to check on the spotted tom she'd left behind. He wasted no time now that the dark female had caused a distraction and slid down the pile to go with the spotted female. They saw Regallegro heading their way but one cat was better than many, so they kept moving. The striped male could feel Inatarni dig deeper, hold tighter, but he had to get away. He tried the same thing that had subdued Ratterclack and Moriolap, and that was to roll over. It was far from easy, of course, but it was something. He rolled them along, gritting his teeth through the pain as he attempted to pull himself free, dragging her claws through his skin with every bit of success he managed. Pixelized Panther Gambi lashed his tail at the limp figure, adrenaline still pumping. Surely this cat couldn't be dead, or even unconscious...? He sniffed at the cat from a distance. No, surely he wasn't. Parhaps he would leap up when they least expected and dash off straight to the leader. Then again, there was one way of holding the cat down until it re-awakened, or decided to get up....
Gambi gave a mischevious grin and promptly... Sat on the tom. Not near the head--no,he wouldn't want to suffocate the cat-- and not enough to cause horrible crushing pain, but just hard enough to hold the cat down.
"Hey, Vaertun!" He called, hoping the leader would come in time before the cat woke. DareDelvil At last, Vaertun had given the order. Perhaps now someone would go after the leader. Purrattica was mostly trapped. She and the dark female would have been evenly matched on even ground, but with Purrattica on her back and the dark queen on top it was no longer such a fair fight. The only way she was going to do any good was by getting this beast off her.
With this thought in mind, she tried to ignore the raking claws and shoved at her opponent with all her might. Those same claws would make some nasty flesh wounds if it worked, but she'd be free - and then she could follow Vaertun's command, and go after the leader again. Nothing else mattered now. If they got the leader, they could demand the Jellicle hostages back in return for her safety.
Even though she was fighting for Eskeleta's flesh and blood, they were still Jellicles.mouselet As the spotted queen went, so did Messilika, though the solid cat was much stealthier than the spotted. Then again, the red-nosed female had a lot more to lose by being seen in the Junkyard than the other cat. When the spotted cat glanced back, Messilika had to wonder if one of the other non-Jellicles that had shown up tonight was her mate. If so, they clearly didn't have the same kind of partnership she and Mit had, she thought with a sniff. Antallian kept a steady eye on the proceedings, but saw nothing that he could truly help with...without getting in the way. He sighed. Ina always had told him he was useless in a fight. Satin was sulking when he realized that the bad cats were trying to run away! And some were succeeding, but Mom was keeping one of them here! "Go Mom!" he cried out. "You can do it!" Inatarni was deaf and blind to everything but her battle. The striped tom was clever, she admitted, as he rolled over and over again, but he was a fool to think she would be so easily pried loose. The black cat kept her claws fixed in the striped cat and hissed at him. He'd have to try a lot harder to get out of her grasp. Fea Line Cresellianamae heard her leaders cry and cast her blue gaze towards where the leader was escaping. Looking back at the tom, and noticing that Gambi was now sitting on the tom, she let out an amused purr.
Looking back at Vulf, she stomped her paw on the ground. "Stay here and help Gambi guard this mischievous tom cat." she meowed, before leaping over tin cans, tires, rotten banana peels, and who knows what else. She picked up her speed, falling in behind Regallegro.
Magical Werefox Vulf smirked at the white tom, “That’s right, you ain’t going nowhere” he placed a paw on the tom’s head triumphantly, and looked up at Cres and Gambi, offering them a proud mew, “We did it!”
He then noticed Vaertun climbing to his feet, and quickly spun around to see the spotted female he was shouting about, “Oh no…”.
Vulf nodded at Cres' request, he knew he had to stay with Gambi and help keep the white Tom at bay, he just hopped Cres knew what she was doing.Dimitri Obsidian Crouched behind an old sink, Quietstion took a silent survey of the scene, observing each small skirmish and each fleeing feline for a few moments. There was nothing she could do; she was sure of this... and then, suddenly, her eyes stopped. She froze in place and looked like a living impression of a statue, curled up next to the porcelain sink. She wouldn't have forgotten the dark female, not for years, much less a few hours. And now, for at least the moment, she was grateful she had not stepped forward to let any of the other see her. She could still find Sazoi. She would still find Sazoi. Keeping low to the ground and hoping that her pelt would help conceal her amidst the garbage, she crept towards Purrattica and the other female with slow, careful, quiet steps that only Quiet seemed to be able to do, moving without a sound. It was not until the last moment, until she knew she could get no closer without being seen, that she made her move. Claws outstretched and ears flat, she pounced.
"Oh, no you don't," came his low snarl. The corner of his mouth turned up in a grin, Regallegro kept after the female. She was a bit too fast for him, but he was sure that he could at least keep up with her. But...still, there had to have been some way to cut her off, right? Well, if there was, he couldn't see it right now. He couldn't afford to survey the land; one second with his eye off of her and who knows where she could disappear off to? The rest of the tribe was not especially bright, no, but he had faith that there was some intelligent cat that would see him darting after the female and devise a plan. Maybe Ristretto was out there...? Of course! His partner had been useful once; surely he'd be useful again. Turning his head back towards the scene they were fleeing without taking his eye off of the brown mystical, he called back, "Yo! Ristretto!" If he was there, he would come. Regallegro was sure of it.
