Taruto grumbled as he walked down the street, his hair poking out of the sides of a baseball cap that rather uncomfortably his his ears. It seemed that none of his partners were in the second dimension, so he had decided to go incognito, in the event that he might find Pai doing the same. Or perhaps reinforcements had already arrived? Either way, he didn't want to cause a mass amount of chaos until he had a partner, it wouldn't be quite as fun. So, here he was, posing as a human, as disgusting as that might be.

"Oh, little boy, are you lost?"

A young woman gently tapped him on the shoulder, bending over to look at him eye-to-eye as she smiled sweetly. Taruto only replied with a stern glare. "It's alright: I'm sure we can find your parents," the woman cooed, offering her hand: perhaps, she thought, the child was shy. "I don't need your help," Taruto spat, his patience running thin. But, of course, the woman persisted. "But sweetheart, it's not safe-" "Alrighty then, let's see if you can help me. Have you seen any aliens with pointy ears seeking to bring the apocalypse down on this abyssal place?" Taruto smirked as he found that his only reply was a wide-eyed stare. "Well, I guess you can't help me then. Buh-bye." Turning, he left the woman to her gawking, unable to contain himself as he laughed to himself.

After all, the look on her face had been priceless!

Humans were such silly creatures. They were never satisfied with what they had, they always wanted more. No goal was high enough for the self-appointed rulers of the planet called Earth. And there was no place that it showed as much as the local mall.

It was painful to stay there long, even in the name of research. Shoving her hands into the pockets of her delicate white sweater, she started down the street. Even a simple walk couldn't be peaceful when the little brats were shouting to their mothers. And about such silly things too. Pointy-eared aliens bringing apocalypse, what would they think of next? Flying teacups and saucers?

... what?

Quickly wiping her face of expression, Dango studied the boy carefully. From afar he didn't look like anything special, but looking closely she could barely see two tiny lumps under his hat. So, she had found a prize after all.

Still a little ticked off about the woman, Taruto didn't notice that someone was staring at him, and that, looking closely, one could see the outlines of his pointed ears from the tightness of the cap. Bumping into someone, he looked up with a scowl, realizing that the person he had bumped into had been looking at him, and that she also presented a certain familiarity...though from where, he couldn't quite be sure.

"Watch where you're going," he muttered, deciding that he would be relatively 'nice' to this human: she reminded him of home. Beginning to walk away, a thought hit him: what if she reminded him of home for a reason? Turning, he looked at the strange girl: he didn't recognize her, but the sense of home was still there. "Hey...do I know you?" he called out, registering a confused look on his face.

So much for staying incognito...

Dango grinned, despite her annoyance at being bumped. Perhaps she was still sore over being taken by surprise by Chimaki, perhaps her boredom was getting the better of her. Either way, she was determined to have some fun with this one. Forming her face into a mock pout, she frowned. "I don't know, do you?"

This was too much fun. She had to get out more.

"I'm not sure if we've met, but if you're looking for pointy-eared aliens, I might be able to point out a few. Yourself, for instance."

Taruto's eyes widened at the accusation for a moment, searching the woman's eyes for any clue that she was one of them. All things granted, one of the original five would have attacked him by now, but maybe this one hadn't been told about him. "Touche," he commented, his expression twisting into a grin. "But what about yourself? I must say, the hat is a nice accessory, but it doesn't show off that hair of yours."

Two could definetely play at this game.

"And as for looking for pointy-eared aliens, I forgot to add one detail when I was...chatting...with the woman. Competent. Intelligent. Insanely evil is optional." Placing his hands in his pockets, he balanced his weight on his ankles, then his toes, rocking in a rather believable child-like way. "You wouldn't happen to fit those requirements, would you, miss...?" It occured to him that he hadn't learned her name, and was asking for it now.

"Thank you." The kid wasn't bad. The time on Earth would probably do him some good. At the very least, he'd accepted her challenge, and that was a start.

Dango patted the hat daintily. It really was a niceish thing considering it was made by humans. Thick woven straw, with wavy edges and a wide green bow. "One must choose accessories carefully, as they should be both attractive and useful. The same could be said of companions, don't you agree?"

Nice transition, she complimented herself.

"As for your question, it depends on who's looking."

Taruto frowned: it seemed that mere word games weren't going to get him anywhere anytime soon, and he wanted answers. Now. It was easy to see that the woman didn't quite understand his role in the conquest, and how important it would be to get things started.

"Oh, I dunno...the only person that I know is interested just happened to be a part of the last try for Earth...one of the three, if you remember correctly."

He decided it might be best to jog her memory, since it was clear that she was kin, but unaware of who she was speaking to.

That could be easily remedied.

"Let's see if I can recall the names of those three...hm, there was Kisshu, the traitor, then there was Pai. Along with Pai they sent someone by the name of Taruto, who somehow got stuck doing the same stupid thing. Again. And now, he's trying to find some intelligent life on this place, and I must say, he's not having any luck with that."

Ah, speaking in third person was so much fun.

Well, she had found a big fish. If he expected her to be intimidated though, he would be quite disappointed. After all, the three he mentioned were all admirable people, but they had failed. That was the reason they sent for others, like herself. Still, she was a bit surprised at her find. Her mouth dropped open for the briefest moment before she got control of her senses.

"Really? What a shame, Taruto-kun." Dango's voice blended in well with the others around her. "I am sorry your time here has not been pleasant. Perhaps I can help remedy the situation."

She was still in control of the situation. He didn't know who she was, whereas his identity was perfectly clear to her. The biggest mistake one can make in the business of information is to show all your cards, and the self-important, if interesting, Taruto was dangerously close to doing just that.

"Well, if you think you're up to it, meet me sometime in the second dimension...bring your friends, too, if you've had any luck finding them. The kirema anima will be happy to have a friend to...play with, if you will." Smirking, he bowed in a rather playful manner, realizing that he would need to make arangements with the little reserves from the last invasion: meaning, he would have to find which alley he had hidden them in.

He began to walk away, then paused, looking back. "It's been nice, really, but I'd best be off. What did you mention your name was?"

That comment struck Dango as odd. Was it a threat? If so, it would be one the little man would regret making. Dango did not take threats lightly, and even if her combat skills left some to be desired- information was her game of choice, after all- she could certainly take care of herself against a few renegade Kirema Anima without fuss. And if it wasn't a threat... she may have found a worthy challenge after all.

"I didn't," she finally replied, a bit arily. "But I'll tell you anyway, as you've already told me yours. My name is Dango. Don't forget it, Taruto-kun, or I will be most upset."

Taruto sent her a toothy grin in reply, turning to face her. After all, it would be rude not to, since she had given her name so willingly. He stepped closer, standing on the tips of his toes in a failed attempt to meet eyes with her. "Don't worry, Dango-chan...I can usually remember names to faces..."

With that, he decided that his final leave was in order, and he waved absently, walking away. "Oh, and if you see Kisshu-bozu, be sure to slap him good for me, okay? That is, unless he already has a bruise on his face from me." Turning, he stepped into an empty alleyway, making sure that no humans were around. He then disappeared, leaving only his hat as a remnant.

It was a disgusting little thing, anyway.
