I hit Greek on your pole because they came first but really the two are virtually identical pantheons. And really I never actually cared for the Greek/Roman Gods. My pantheon of choice is Norse. As to favorites...I have connection with Freyja but my favorite would have to be Skadi. Gutsy hunter goddess of the mountains.

I like the Celtic and Egyptian gods/goddesses, but my favorite Greek and Roman goddesses are Artemis and Diana.

Freya. I had many "imaginary" sisters as a child. Some of them were tricksome or mean but otheres were kind and friendly. Freya was one of the latter.

What about favorite God and Godess?
I've already mentioned Freyja, but for male dieties, it's a little harder for me to say. I've always liked smithing Gods like Haphaestus and Weland.

since all goddesses are basically facets of the same tri-part goddess, it would be silly to try to differentiate them.
however, in mythology, i've always loved artemis and athena the best. i always wanted to be a greek girl consecrated to the priestess-hood either one of them.
i guess was born in the wrong freekin century...
am i the only one answering this thing now??? seems like all the posts are old. =(
