Okay, so, with the subforum the way it is now, we can expect more and more regulars/oldbies and just the actual discussion to soon leave us, unless we do something.
Our only power is to report all threads that are considered as the following;
spam,
trolling,
contain lack of discussion,
repeat threads
etc.
please, try to do this as often as possible to help clean the Harry Potter Subforum,

It might also do us some good to try and contact the mods. There seems to be a depressing lack of them... remember the 2007 "oh, let's do our jobs" sweep? That was the most irritating thing ever, but the fact that the subforum looks like this now makes that old news even more annoying.

Worse, have you noticed that now the spammers are coming into the popular threads? It's getting irritating. What do you guys think- should we push for more mods? I think we should. At least three regulars should become mods because with this increase in gold for posting, we're getting more posts just for gold.

I agree Harpisccord.
I've always thought that the sub forum's moderators were practically non-existant.
We need people who are going to be regular enough to actual help sort it out.

 I emailed Giabrenna a long time ago, asking how I could go about applying to become a moderator, as I was concerned for the subforum (as was she)
and she told me that the only way, is to apply along with the millions of other users who wish to moderate on Gaia and to hope for the best.
It's a long and complicated process.
It's not even like I want onmi-moderator duties, like to deal with hacking, accounts and so forth,
I only wanted to moderate the HP subforum and just clear spam . . .
unfortunately there is no quick way to go about it. -___-

HEY! You know what? I say if the mods aren't doing their jobs ad aren't looking to clear out jack diddly, we take advantage of it. Bring back the old character mules! Make little hangout threads- under new names, of course, like "Gryffindor vs. Slytherin" or "The Order" for a thread with mules of the HP adults. We'd do this because the mods might decide to jump back in and do their jobs for once, like they did last year.
What do you guys say? If they don't care, then neither do I. Bring back the subforum Potter characters!

I was going to PM Lanzer personally (take it to the top?) but I actually much prefer Harpsiccord's idea. Do we know who had these mules?

I'm in. I'll crack out my two OC mules and gladly make mules for other characters.
On a side note, Colorblind Rainbows is trying to organize a petition to get the mods to do something about all the spam in the forums. We really should give her some support.
