The Bog
A large bog. There's not much that's special about this place. It's just regular, smelly old swampland. However, it does serve as a shortcut into the Deku Dungeon's premises. Beware, however, as many monsters have been sighted here, and most travellers just try to get in through the main gates of the Deku Kingdom.
Many ominous-looking willow trees pollute the area. Monsters are also a common sight - beware before entering this forsaken area.

"... Echh. This place is disgusting..." Max snarled with disgust. "No Deku actually live here, right?" As they waded through ankle-deep water and muddy marine grass, a mosquito flew around Max's head in circles. He quickly swatted it away, but then another came quickly after.
"Argh! There's no friggin' end to the damned bugs, is there?" He growled. "I wonder how long it'll take to get through here...?"
Suddenly, as Max spoke, a pair of Lizolfos jumped down from the willow branches above, waving around a pair of dual scimitars, and made a low-pitched screeching noise. And then they leaped forward, making their attack.

"Great Max, why do you have to be so damn loud?" Justin snarled, clearly sick of Max's 'I'm the best and nothing's good enough for me' attitude.
He quickly drew his sword and took a defensive stance against the lizalfos who were charging toward them. Just before the first lizalfo took it's final leap, Justin lunged toward the lizalfo knocking it off guard and down to the ground. It quickly retaliated and jumped back up, making a ferocious, blood thirsty growl.
Justin jumped back before he was in danger of the scimitars and waited for the lizard to attack, holding his shield up and his sword pointed towards the creature.

"Ugh. Sorry." Max sighed, drawing his sword to meet the second Lizalfos. He put up his Gilded Sword in defense, and the Lizalfos that wasn't busy attacking Justin leaped onto Max. The sharp scimitar met with Max's sword, and the metal clash produced a giant echo within the bog. "More noise? Wonderful." Max sighed sarcastically, as he pushed the Lizalfos off, whom bounced back a step to try the same attack again - a downward slice onto Max's skull.
This time, however, Max decided to jump to the side, and as the Lizalfos came down, he landed in sticky, disgusting mud. "Gotcha!" Max siezed the oppurtunity that was given to him and brought his Gilded Sword down into the Lizalfos' head, scoring a direct hit. The Lizalfos' body went limp, then began to distintegrate into small, purple flames before disappearing completely. Max pulled out a small blue Rupee from where its corpse should have been, and then readied his sword in case Justin needed assitance.

Pum looked at them battle the monsters as Pum smiled. " The entrance is up ahead. Do you see that giant rotting stump? " Pum stated as he pointed toward the giant stump. " Yeah. That's not it. Its right behind it. " Pum stated as he flew forward to show them the way.

The lizard lept high into the air, swords prepared, ready to slice anything as soon as contact is met. Justin quickly rolled forward and underneath the Lizalfo quick enough for the creature's weapons to miss him. But unexpectedly, the Lizalfo turned and sliced at Justin again, it was so sudden that Justin was just quick enough to block the attack with his sword
"s**t." before the lizard could do anything, Justin quickly jabbed the lizalfo which knocked it down to the ground. He found the opportunity and sliced at the beast's neck, which caused it to disintegrate and burst into purple flames.
"Come on, let's go"

"That little stump is the... Oh. Nevermind." Without saying anything, he was corrected. He thought that the entrance to the Deku Dungeon would look a lot more... Inspirational. Dark. Scary. Not just a little stump.
However, as the group approached that little stump, a small, stone staircase going down appeared. Charred leaves and ashes surrounded the entryway, and it was barely visible except for a small torchlight down below. "Well, that doesn't look... Uh... Freaky?" He said, looking into the abyss that they were about to tread into. "Er, I'll go first..." He said, walking slowly into the darkness below.

"I'll be right behind you" Justin focused on the end of the staircase, trying to find out if he could see the end, but unfortunately he could not. The staircase was too dark, and it looked like it went on forever.
Once Max was somewhat out of sight, Justin started to go down. As he descended, the staircase seemed to get darker and darker, and the sense of the presence of evil grew
