User ImageLeitha yawned, stretching. She was waiting in the waters right near dragnid. Of course, it was easy enough to swim the beach wondering what side of it he would appear on, though it was far easier to wait for him on one side of the beach.

With a small laugh, she twisted fingers through her hair, fins splashing in the water. It was warm to her at the very least.

(( Okeanos! ))

So, that was what Dragnid Forest looked like. The naiad had never actually gone near it before, and it had to admit, it warranted for more exploration. The forest seemed to be filled with the brim with uncomfortable feelings, strange noises, and most of all, sulfur from that volcano Magnus and Texas had mentioned after their long day of exploring. The naiad had never seen such a powerful and daunting mountain, and had to admit he was interested even if his powers were more based around destructive waters.

He wriggled his toes in the sand once he felt the ground change underneath him from the grassy grounds of the forest and the damper ground thanks to the nearby marsh to the sandy grounds of the beach Leitha wanted to meet him at. Now, the question was, where was this girl and how interesting could he make this date? He stretched briefly to keep his muscles limber before he headed over to where he thought he saw something grey and purple in the ocean water.

While he had never been to the ocean before, he did know that water was never supposed to be that grey. Perhaps this was the Leitha who had left him the simple messages. ...Now to have some fun with this.

She looked up from her spot in the water, at the yellow and teal thing coming towards her. If she hadn't looked at the picture in the personals she doubted she would be moving in the least for this naiad.

The girl slipped on her necklace, stepping out of the water to greet the male that was still walking. "Okeanos?" She asked, voice soft, eyes narrowed. It was her small attempt at appearing attractive. "I'm Leitha, it's nice to meet you." She smirked, holding out a hand.

Yup, this was Leitha. As soon as she got out of the water to move towards him, he stopped walking and just waited for her to get over to him. One of the things he definitely hadn't picked up in his youth from his siblings was any element of charm. He took Leitha's hand and smirked back, though he wasn't trying at all to appear alluring. At least he wasn't doing the opposite. "Okeanos. Nice to meet you, Leitha."

He turned around to check out the Dragnid Forest, with its volcano, that were now hanging out somewhere in the distance behind him. "You come here often? Looks interesting." If she hadn't, maybe he should drag her in there. Then he'd see how long that sexy look she was vaguely attempting would last...

She laughed, picking up the hint already. "I'm here often. Have you ever been inside?" Leitha had dropped the voice in favor of her regular one. Though her eyes stayed narrow as they always were.

"There's a new spot in there that would be interesting to try out." Leitha's smirk re-appeared, she was thinking of dragging Okeanos to the volcano in the forest. She hadn't been there yet, though getting to the area to just get into it was dangerous enough to make a normal pae scream and run home to their mothers.

"Ah, yes, there was a new place I wanted to check out myself." There was no way this girl would want to check out the volcano too, and even if she did, she must've been stupid. The girl would flail and run away in fright when they got there... if he let her move. Oh, sweet hilarity. A similar smirk danced on Okeanos' face, though he said nothing about what he was thinking.

He gestured widely to the beach. "Water's great," he pointed behind him, "but perhaps we should abandon this for that." While he would've found throwing a large wave on her amusing, she was also a naiad, and that wouldn't be quite so interesting...

She put her hands on her hips in a laughing gesture, smirk still playing on her face. "Lets take a hike then." Leitha grabbed his wrist, pulling him towards the forest.

"I told you the water was nice this time of year." The silver and blue naiad giggled lightly, making her way towards a hidden path that was just near the beach. They wouldn't be on it for long though.

Okeanos wasn't one to tolerate being yanked around. As soon as she grabbed his hand and started pulling him, he yanked his arm back away from her and chose to walk beside her, brushing his hand off briefly in an almost snobbish manner, as if she wasn't deserving of touching him at all. Then, he resumed walking rather informally, taking long strides in an attempt to move faster.

"Well, yes, but this time of year lasts for a while. This new thing won't be new forever." Nor would it be as amusing for forever. Eventually, the volcano would seem old, and it would just be sitting there with boiling lava ready to explode and destroy the Isle entirely. ...Actually, that would always be amusing.

She had only planned to take him like that for a few steps to make sure he would follow. Leitha was only slightly offended when he yanked his hand away, but let it slide until she noticed the brushing of his hand. That irked her some. She kept her strides long though, speeding along the path.

"There are some things that don't wear off so quick." She pointed out, curious as to the active-ness of the volcano. It would be interesting to watch it explode and destroy the isle.

"Admit it, things are new for a while and then they're just there. It's incredibly boring." Although the prospect of the volcano becoming active and spewing lava was an interesting one, Okeanos had to admit. He hoped it happened more sooner than later; he was certainly impatient when it came to these things.

The naiad walked quickly and mostly quietly unless he found something to comment on, though the way he was looking at Leitha was noticably vicious. It looked like he wanted to destroy her somehow or something, but everytime it looked like she was paying even the slightest bit of attention, Okeanos started quietly whistling instead.

"Things like active volcanos don't get so boring so quickly." She had meant that by her first comment, though she was thinking he probably had no idea that's where she was taking him. Still leading somewhat, she turned off the path, weaving between the trees without much effort.

She hadn't really been paying attention until the other started whistling, which had caused her to run into a tree. "b*****d.." Leitha grumbled, rubbing her head where she had hit it. It was his fault she got distracted and the tree got in the way. Shaking it off she started walking again, quickly, ignoring the whistling as much as she possibly could.

So she wanted to go to the volcano too? Strange. She couldn't have possibly had the same ideas as he had, though, so he shrugged it off and kept whistling loudly. When Leitha smashed into a tree, though, he stopped whistling and started snickering loudly, unable to hold in how hilarious it was to him that he had distracted her enough to hurt her.

It took a while before he stopped snickering and went back to whistling, but if there was one thing clear after that, it was this: Okeanos was definitely not as nice and innocent as his crafty Personals Ads letter was implying. If anything, he seemed more... mischievous, perhaps.

Leitha grumbled a little at his laughter, but let it slide. It was rather amusing if you thought about it. She ignored the laughing like the whistling, speeding up just the slightest amount to attempt to get there before he could distract her like that again.

Leitha had already figured out his ad hadn't been correct entirely, but who was ever entirely truthful with that sort of thing? The silver and blue naiad tossed her hair over her shoulder, closing her eyes as she walked, confident she wouldn't run into another tree.
PostPosted: Thu Jun 18, 2009 11:02 am

Not entirely true? At this point, Okeanos seemed to be the exact opposite of his ad thus far. Where had he gotten the idea that he was nice from? The whistling naiad watched Leitha attempt to get ahead of him, and shook his head, deciding that he was not going to allow that. So, he too sped up his walking, keeping an even pace beside her as he continued to whistle.

The naiad was hoping that she would run into another tree. In fact, he was hoping so much that he waited for an opprotune time before deciding to randomly push his arms out towards her side and hopefully shove her into the direction of the tree. As soon as he had done that, he ran ahead, snickering to himself.

This at the very least was interesting. She'd get back at him at the volcano. It was hot enough there where he would regret making her get hurt. Leitha kept her pace while Okeanos sped up, humming quietly.

Catching onto his train of thought, she smirked, catching her balance before he could throw her into a tree. He was so going to pay. With a small laugh of her own, Leitha caught up to him, silently this time, yanking a foot out from under him. "Your turn to hit your head." The female laughed, walking on ahead while he got up.
