Here's the area for anything art and/or literature related. If you want to roleplay, here's where to do it. If you want to whore out a dA page, here's where to do it.

The Truth is Mine

Walking through the field, the rain; running down my cheeks, mixing with my tears, as it smashed against the dirt track. I knew I had to get home. I don’t think anyone noticed I was even missing. The party back at Mark’s was still in full swing. I knew I should have stayed home tonight.

Going through it all in my head, it all felt like a dream, no, a nightmare, worse than the ones I usually had. I was numb, my whole body, like I had died, but I could still think these thoughts, and feel this pain, this anger. It would be better for me to be dead, then to think about the events that happened tonight.

Walking through Mark’s House, looking at pictures on the wall, I knew he came from a good family; but to look at him now, you wouldn’t think it. I wondered when his parents would be back home; did they know the antics that were going on in the house while they were away? All I knew was, I wish I was drinking tonight; I’m too sober for this party. Making my way into the kitchen, I saw all my friends having fun and giggling with their boyfriends. I confidently opened the fridge and grabbed the first thing to come to my hand, a can of cider, it would do.

I made my way out onto the decking; I didn’t know the people out here, not yet. Scanning the area, I saw a cute guy staring in my direction; I looked behind me as to not make a fool of myself before I went over. As I looked back at him, he was smiling, the type of smile you would fall in love with. I walked over and asked him what he was so smiley about? He threw some cheesy pickup line in my direction. I tried not to laugh at him, but who says things like that in real life? I sat down on the decking and we got chatting for what seemed like an eternity, I realised that he kept staring at his watch; I told him if he had to go, it was fine. He told me he would be back in five minutes, he pinkie promised me. I thought that was a little childish, but who was I kidding? I’m only a child myself.

As I headed back into the kitchen, my friend Katie asked where I was. I was surprised she noticed I was missing. I told her I went outside for some air. She handed me a pint glass with orange juice in it. ‘Let’s find some alcohol’ she squeeled. Knowing where Mark’s dad kept the Vodka, I walked confidently into the living room and took the full bottle. Katie looked on in disbelief as I poured the vodka into my glass. She had never seen this side of me. I gave her some of the vodka too and we hid the bottle in my handbag for later. As we walked back into the kitchen, I saw the cute guy who I had been talking to, now talking with James. I gave him a wave and went over. I asked did he want some of my drink. He declined. I giggled, saying there was now more for me. He wrapped his arm around me. I noticed that Maria and Katie were looking over at me; I simply just smiled at them. Realising I didn’t know ‘Cute Guy’s’ name, I asked, ‘if I guess your name, do I win a prize?’. He Looked down at me for a few moments before whispering in my ear ‘Simon’ and kissed me.

What seemed like forever had passed. When we stopped kissing, the group of people in the kitchen had got noticeably smaller. Katie and her boyfriend were still there. They were always the last to leave a party. I’m sure Maria was somewhere to be found too. It didn’t bother me too much anyway. For the first time in a long time, I was enjoying myself and there was a guy interested in me. Katie pulled me into the middle of the kitchen floor to dance to some ‘S Club 7’ song. Laura came in, only just arriving from work, giving me the biggest hug. I looked at my watch, just after 1am. Taking the vodka from my handbag, I proposed we did shots. My friends asked if I was okay, saying I was acting out of character. I told them, I was sick of being the shy innocent girl and was finally enjoying myself. Simon was smiling over at me; I noticed he took a little white pill, not thinking anyone was looking at him. He offered me one, explaining it was ‘just ecstasy’. Up to this point, I had never taken anything like that, but I had always wanted to. I took a glass of water and washed away my problems I hid for so long.

A rush of excitement filled my body as I could feel the pill take effect. My mind was racing, I felt alive, inside and out. Mark finally reappeared, asking what had come over me. I giggled and kissed his forehead, thanking him for an awesome party. I think he and Simon went to school together; seeing that they got on quite well. I hoped I was in good hands. This night was one of the best turn-a-rounds in such a long time. One of those nights you dream about and wonder if it would ever come true. Finally, my life was playing out the way I had seen it pass me by so many times before.
