I have a question, is it true that they are remaking FFVII? I really want to know because if they are then I am buying a PS3, if not then I am getting an X-Box 360. I saw at the end of Crisis Core that there was some kind of FFVII game sequence called Before the Crisis, FFVII and After the Crisis. Is this a series of games or an anthology of games all in one pack? I really need to know.

Before Crisis is a cell phone game released in Japan. It's set before VII, and you play as the Turks, fighting AVALANCHE. I'm not sure exactly the time period, but I think it's seven years before VII. After Crisis I've never heard of before.
As for VII, it's not known if they're remaking it. They released a tech demo, in which they remade the first scene of VII in PS3 quality graphics, which sparked a bunch of rumours about a re-release. From what I understand, SE has not denied a remake will happen, but has stated they're not working on one right now. They've also released the original VII on the PSN for download.

Alright! I lost my copy years ago, so new gen graphics or not, I don't care! Its a PS3 for me baby!

About the remake of final fantasy VII there really isn't one, just the demo, and the project isn't ongoing either, I guess the demo was just to see the graphics of the PS3

They are actually making a remake but its progression is slower than usual. Converting all 4 discs to one with all its data and have it re-made takes way longer. On the lighter side yes they are.

To my understanding the game is downloadable onto your ps3/psp. Yes, but it's not a remake; you can download the original game. Tim's saying they're doing a remake.

Ohh I see.... Well it still talks about the rumors of the remake.....Anyway I'm downloading the original Because I haven't been able to get the game on disc so yup smile

they cant just pick that one to remake. if they were gonna make that they would've remade all of them. so they just decided to do that but all into one: dissidia final fantasy.

Just because they make a tech demo for an old FF game doesn't mean they plan on remaking it for the console. I've heard that during they made an N64 tech demo featuring Terra, and everyone thought for a while they planned on remaking FF6.
