Not quite to the point where I want to leave Gaia yet, but I have given up on them ever listening to users. I won't be making any more suggestions for items/games/features I want to see because Gaia will just... ruin it somehow. But I love the site and my Gaia-only friends too much to just uproot quite yet. That and the thought of starting all over from scratch in a brand new place is a little frightening.
Anyways, for those who want out or are starting to think about it I want a list of other sites with the same purpose as Gaia that people might be interested in. I know of a couple and if you know of any let me know and I'll add it to the list.
Solia Online Pseudo anime art style, very American avatars: tall, lanky, somewhat pixelated. Roliana Pseudo anime art style, very American avatars: tall, lanky, pixelated. Menewsha Psedo anime art style, somewhere between the tall, lanky, pixelated, typicial avatars and the cute, squishy avatars of Gaia. Zantarni Not as tall and lanky, not as pixelated. Seems to focus on Role playing, like Gaia once did.
I sincerely hope that Gaia has reached it's all time low and will get better from here, but I don't expect it.

I hang out on Menewsha a lot. I really like it because the staff has great rapport with the users and the users trust the staff a lot. Also, most (if not all) of the staffers, from devs to mods, actively post in forums and act just like regular users. Also, gold may be harder to earn but you don't have to buy hairstyles and some of their items are multi-equip, which means that you only have to buy one item and you can still equip as many poses at once as you want.

Ah, thanks for the info! That sounds like an interesting site and I'll add it to the list.
Honestly, I'd really like to set up an evacuation plan with all my friends so when Gaia does become pay to play (the end of this year, maybe?) we don't have to be separated because I don't know where else to find them.

You're welcome! heart
It's a sad day for a site when its members are coming up with evacuation plans.

Huh, for some reason I can't access the site. I'm having trouble with another one but not any others, so I don't know what's going on. I'll add it anyways but I'll look at it later.

Okay, now that whatever was wrong with my connection is fixed (reset the router and cleared my cache) I can actually SEE Menewsha. The avatars are somewhere between Roliana/Solia's and Gaia's, much like Zantarni's is. It might be worth looking into.
Also: Zantarni seems rather small and slow, so if you get bored easily it might not be the sight for you.

I noticed a lot of the sites like these end in -ia or otherwise -a. It gets sort of redundant and cheesy- It's like any snackfood that ends in -itos. XD Just an observation. I agree on the bit about Zantarni. it's pretty slow. Menewsha's alittle bit weird for me, too, honestly. Ohwell. The search continues!

I looked at Zantarni, but it's rules were way too strict for me.
EDIT: Chaos Blue, Gaia ends in -ia. rofl It's name just isn't as long.

A lot of them do, but I think it has to do with the fact that a lot of countries and cities' names would end int "ia" or just "a" sometimes. A long time ago. I don't know, I'm tired.
I'm totally addicted to the games on Menewsha *got past 1k on Chpper* o_ol
