Queen Millfeulle what herb should i pick from my garden to help my cousin with his fever? i picked celantro is there anything else? confused confused confused First, if his fever is very high or lasts longer than a few days, call a doctor. Otherwise, peppermint is good for a fever, as is any herb that cools the body down. Also, teas made from calendula, chamomile, elder flower, yarrow herb, lemon balm, white willow (only if there's no aspirin reactions), and feverfew.
Or, try this: Mix 1 tbsp each of peppermint, yarrow flowers, and elder flowers in 3 cups boiling water. Steep for 20 minutes, and drink 1 cup of tea 2-3 times a day.
Or, if you prefer a faster method, (and he's an adult- 16 or older) give him 2 ibprofen every five or six hours. If he's between 12-16, give him 1 ibprofen every four or five hours. Yes, its OTC, but it's also fast if you're worried.

I didn't know peppermint was good for fevers; digestive system of course, but not fevers. Same with chamomile. Thanks! This guild is so full of good information.
