Hello, all!
I have not been around here in... quite a long time. I'm obviously not alone in this, considering how dead the guild is, but I was wondering, what's everyone been up to? What drew you away from the guild/the site?
Personally, my interest in Gaia has waned in recent years. I hate all of the new stuff. I find the interactive games (like the Aquarium) to be boring, and I think that they've multiplied the mindless masses on here. I miss the days when Gaia was just forums. A few games (like puzzles and the Casino) are okay, but I don't like the direction the site's taken, or all of the dumb ways they've sold out. (I don't blame them, really-- with the expansion of the site, they had to find a new way to support it without charging people up the wazoo for items-- but it's still annoying.) I don't really like the evolving items either.
I've also been drawn away from the site by real life. In fall, I'll be going into my sophomore year at college, and I'm double majoring in Japanese and English. I'm also in Honors, so the workload was pretty heavy. My family life has always been hectic and dysfunctional, and while moving into the dorms was a relief last year, it also put me really close to some of my (newly-made) friends, so it was easier to hang out more often. Lately, I've been dealing with family stuff (because I moved back home over summer, but I'll be moving into an apartment next year), earning money for my first-ever anime convention, and writing. (As well as hanging out with my best friend, who was a little neglected over the school year because of our respective workloads.)
Heh. Sorry that the intro post for this thread is so long. I'd really like to hear what others are doing though. heart

Well I just have been working a lot.
I now have two jobs to pay for college.
and before i got my second job I was in my schools musical and that was like a rehearsal everynight and then some nights i was working and rehearsing. ahhh
but yea. sometimes i come to the gaia site to come to this guild and theres never any changes. sad where is everyone?

I work, party, sit around with my room-mates, and sleep.
Living with 4 other people can be both insanely fun and exceptionally tiring.

Oh nothing much, just doing the usual movies, graphics, reading manga, and now comics it seems :3 also downloading tons of portable apps also got the bamboo fun which turns out is quite fun haha made the crappy avi art in my sig with it 3nodding

Been drawing/building canon, coming up with new ideas, going over to my girlfriend's house etc.
Been dealing with family issues on the side, er, most the time.
Mother broke the family for some guy, now wants back in, so life is constantly on the edge in a manner of speaking.
I'm taking Life Drawing, Journalism, Cultural Anthropology and Japanese come Fall. All classes based around interests I plan on using in my future, in some facet.
The Japanese is going to be like...excelled though. Girlfriend's almost certifiably bilingual in the stuff...oh lawdy.

Well I'm currently trying to get back my job, save up more money, ffix my car, and deal with college that starts in like 2 months. Also Tynia came out for the first time and saw PA. That was a great 2 weeks~ lol
And I have now been trying to draw a little more since school is starting soon.

I'd have to agree with you on that I also miss the site being more focused on forums, and well towns also. I don't think a lot of people like the direction the site's taken lul ;0 But I stay on here mostly for friends. I feel like I'm getting to that age where I might be too old to be on here, but I can't leave my friends on here, and so I stay. :3
My life did a total turn around and I feel like I'm actually "waking up" so to speak, lol. The main thing that's happened is that I broke up with my boyfriend of 5 years and some months. I became blinded and forgot what a real relationship was supposed to be like and how I should have been treated. I won't go into detail but after the breakup however, he drove to my house with his mom, who hates me and who I hate, and he had taken back the wii, the ds, games, dolls, etc. that he gave me over the years. Douche bag, yes.
But I'm now with someone who I think is pretty damn amazing. We met on here. I was skeptical at first of online and long distance stuff, so was he, but it just happened. Couldn't help it. It won't be long distance for long though. We've known each other since back then and we never thought it would be like this with us, but I'm extremely happy. Liek srsly iz great.
As for other stuff, my mom has been driving me completely insane. I'm trying to find a job, but it's rather hard landing one. But I'm hoping I get one soon. I'm taking a break from school as of now. And I am most likely going to be moving by next year. :]

I know exactly what you mean when you say like you feel like you are almost out growing gaia's age range. I already feel I have. It's just not the same and the people left are kids or idiots. Then with the commercialism flying left and right it doesn't even feel like the admins are in control any more.
This guild is the only thing that even remotely holds me to this place.
You found another... on gaia? xD; Well good luck with all of that~ Just hope it's not a rebound or something that could turn sour faster than you'd believe.

ummmmm yea i quit gaia a lil bit ago. gaia is sooooo annoying, i cant stand it so i was like fck this and left without warning. but lately ive been checkin in every now and then, just to view THIS guild. i don't look at anything else on gaia. fck gaia smh this guild been kinda dead tho :[

quick update on me:
gots a boyfreend, known him for a yr
officially been "together" for 7 months now
lately, we've been a lil rocky but we are... still together surprisingly

got 2 piercings! tongue and lip =] and plzzz dont tell me tongue piercings are skanky >.< i've heard it enough but i still love it
have not started college yet, bad bad bad but i will soon... i think
got kicked out of my parents house a couple months ago and i lived with my friends from school for a while but now i'm back, which is a relief cuz i hated living with my friends gosh but imma move out on my own soon
had 4 jobs already and as of now, i've been unemployed for about a month or two cuz i quit my last job (call centers SUCK! i went to work cryin almost everyday) but i have an interview tonight at some mortgage company and an interview tomorrow at starbucks, good luck

She actually came out to visit me for 2 weeks in june and is planning a return sometime in winter.
It's good to see you too are still alive. That's some pretty big news that you got kicked out of your house for a while. o _o; Good to see everything is stable for now at least.
And at least you found a better guy this time. xD;

Gaia never ceases to change. I just went to towns since I haven't been there since FOREVER... and well first thing I notice is Katsumaru's house is located within the first district. That took me by surprise none the less. xD
Then I go to the normal hang out spots, aka peabull and Twobit, and they are completely vacant. I only saw one person and he was dressed up as heavily as he could to look like a fox. From there I notice the only "popular houses" were ones that said things like "Yaoi fans!, Furry love, sexipool party" etc...
God I hate gaians. mad

but wow this guild is still going omg after how many years? didnt this guild form in like 2003 or 2004? that's pretty good even tho its a lil dead
there's toooooo much s**t goin on in gaia, i gave up trying to stay updated and whatnot. idk how long its been since i went to towns. i never really cared for towns anyway tho. the community forums dont even exist to me anymore. i think i said this before but double nitemare guild is pretty much gaia to me
