In the country farther north of Somers, woods dominate the landscape and hide anything from view that doesn't want to be found. The empty country home of Warren Worthington III is nestled deep in the woods as well, a safe haven for any mutant fleeing danger.

Deitra glanced in the review mirror to see all of her passengers were still sleeping - unconscious in Sarek's case - and she sighed in relief at the thought she'd be able to get some clothes on him once they got inside. The long dirt driveway opened up to a small clearing, where a rather grand house waited for them.
"Everyone up, we're here," she informed them, needing Mat to help carry Sarek. It wasn't something she wanted to do, even with her plants - she had her limits. "Or I can just lock you in the car," she offered, reaching over and poking the two people in the backseat.

Katrina groaned, tail twitching. When the poking continued, she batted lightly at the air, as if to push the finger away, but missing. "Five more minutes, Mom," she grumbled. The cat stretched and rolled onto her back, exposing her soft belly.

Mat yawned and pulled his bandanna out of his eyes, smiling at Deitra as he stretched. "Well good morning. The look in your eyes says I'm going to have to do work." He somewhat frowned and shook his head to try and get rid of his grogginess. I hope its not too hard.

"You, my fellow fugitive, get to carry Sarek inside and dress him in whatever I can find for him," she said cheerfully, picking the small cat with one hand and climbing out of the car. "I'll go unlock the door and find something," she added, leaving her bag in the backseat for now.
Fishing keys out of her coat pocket, she grumbled as the door stuck and simply kicked it open. "There," she said in satisfaction, dropping Kat onto a nearby chair and digging through the hall closet for clothes. The water and electricity was still on, she knew - Warren had promised that.

Still mostly asleep, Katrina snuggled against Deitra's chest, drawn to the body heat. At the sound of the crashing door, however, the cat jerked awake with a tiny mew of surprise. She leapt off the chair and trotted after the other mutant. "What's this? Your second home?" she asked curiously. She sat down in the doorway, wrapping her tail around her legs.

Mat grumbled slightlly as he got out and pulled the sleeping man out of the car, making sure he didn't electrocute Sarek and that he didn't get burned by his odd loincloth like thing. "Figures that I'm stuck doing all the hard work." He carried the man into the room the other two were in and set him on the ground. Hoping that his loincloth like aparition wouldn't burn the floor.

"I had to save everyone. Here are some clothes," Deitra remarked, tossing a bundle towards Mat. "Get him decent, then drop him in the bed over there," she added, gesturing to a door down the hall. She glanced down at Kat and shook her head.
"Nope, it doesn't belong to me. I'm not rich enough," she said dryly, grinning at the idea she could afford the place. "It belongs to someone I know - knew - kind of know," she amended, not sure how to describe the odd relationship.

"Oh. Well, that's nice of him to let you use it whenever you please," Katrina murmured. She licked her paw, rough tongue scraping away some of the dried blood. Then she paused and meow indignantly. "Hey, I took out half those people. I helped save everyone too," she mumbled, flicking her tail.

Sarek was being...carried...by...someone... Instinct took over, he had dealt with assassins that had tried to kill him in his sleep, from hired thieves looking for extra coin to ninja in the Land of the Rising Sun. His glowing eyes snapped open instantly as his hand immediately found his captor's neck. Luckily for the lad, Sarek realized it was the poor boy they found in the alley before he set the hand around his throat on fire. Letting go, he gave him a gruff apology before taking in the surroundings. "Where are we...?"

"Okay, I amend my previous statement. Kat kicked a** too," Deitra said with a grin. "And I better add Sarek before he - oh, we're at a friend's place," she said, realizing the man was awake and trying to strangle Mat. "Can you put some clothes on, please?" she added dryly, gesturing to the pile that had been dropped to the floor. "Not all of us want to see you in all your glory."
She snickered before catching her bag with an absent arm, having used a vine to bring it to her. "I'll show everyone where they can sleep once you settle down," she added.

Looking down and realizing he was nude, he nodded, grabbing the clothes and putting them on, muttering to himself in Russian. In truth, Sarek could speak a great many languages, from Japanese to Russian to English to French, and a few more that he was fluent in, though he could get by in a good handful past that as well. The losing of memory has to deal with the dying of brain cells, or something like that. Whatever the case, his mutant abilities also made it to where he remembered everything that happened to that. Plus he at one point decided to learn as many tongues as possible, after all, when one leaves a long life then you must keep yourself busy. Only problem was that if he wasn't concentrating on sticking to one language, he sometimes blurred them in his speech.
After he finished making himself decent, he stretched his arms, looking around. "He must be an awful generous...friend to let you have such a luxurious place."

Deitra cocked an eyebrow at this, not sure how to take it. "He's a former teammate," she allowed with a nod. "And a good friend, yes. It's good to have rich friends," she added with a grin. She reached for the cordless phone and headed upstairs. "I'll be back in a minute, I need to make a call," she told them over her shoulder.
Dialing a number unfamiliar to her unsocial fingers, she frowned when she got the answering machine. Hanging up without leaving a message, she called another number and sighed in relief when someone answered. She kept her voice down and the conversation short, hanging up moments later.
"I'm back," she announced, striding back to the main room.

Sarek's eyes followed her up the stairs as she took the phone with her, wondering what she had to keep secret from them. Then again, it could just be a want for privacy. Wariness came with endless struggle, and he had plenty of it. Everything from fighting the Bolsheviks in Russia to the French Revolution, even the American Revolution. Sighing, Sarek shrugged a little. "Well, I'm going to go outside, have a nice sozoroaruki while I'm out. I need to clear my head." Walking through the door as Deitra came down the stairs, he followed a cobbled path leading down a hill.

"I'll go with you and give Mat and Kat a chance to unwind," she suggested, catching up to him without waiting for permission. She didn't know the foreign word he said, but he was going outside and that was all the excuse she needed. She wanted to get some fresh air and relax with the plants surrounding them.
