For some reason, after I looked up what steampunk was, I couldn't stop thinking about Airman: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airman_(novel) Correct me if I'm wrong, but especially the beginning of the book seemed like it to me. I recommend reading it; it's pretty action-packed, and it's by the guy who made the Artemis Fowl series!

Looks 100% steampunk to me. I will pick this up, thanks for the tip-off!

Ha, strangely enough I'm just about finished reading this book. I really like it so far. And yes, it's got nice bits of Steampunk here and there.

hah, yesss, thank you for reminding me of this. i'd been eying it since it came out, but kept putting it off due to lack of job (and money) and paperback edition. it is on my list of things to get/read (which is incredibly long at the moment. :/)

This is an excellent book. It was so fun to read and I almost posted a thread like this until I saw this.

Wait, really? Airman is considered steampunk? Neat. Airman has been one of my favorite books for years now, I've read it over and over so many times the binging is starting to give. ^^' Whereas i'm only just dipping into this neat steampunk culture. :3
