I dont smoke, dont drink, and dont do drugs but it pretty much ends there. I dont believe in the whole no casual sex since sex is a good thing for the body. I dont have any problem with other people that do drugs or drink or what ever, I have no problem with other people using drugs. I just dont use them. One more thing militant straight edgers are a just a bunch of a** holes.

Thanks for sharing. I personally try to avoid drinking as much as possible cuz I'm an idiot alcoholic. Also cuz I like NOT having a gross beer gut hanging over my belt. Being able to fit into slim jeans and fealing healthy is definitely more important to me than a good beer. But I do give in every now and again. biggrin
No drugs for me, thank you. Very, extremely rarely, like if I'm really desperate for something to do, I'll smoke weed. But only when offered by a friend. Not worth my hard-earned money. Plus getting drunk is more fun anyway.
Don't smoke no cigarettes, except when I'm really really really drunk. Nothing beats a good smoke when you're totally hammered.

congratulations on not being a militant a*****e.
there were alot of those types in my middle school (who listened to alot of the new shitty hardcore stuff) and me and my friends were their targets most of the time for their stupid s**t. ive never been physically assaulted but threatened numerous times by these jack offs. i heard alot of them "broke their edge". ******** dicks

I love to make the militant sXe question everything they believe in. Militants of any kinda are easy to contridict or make them question things. What annoys me is how all the ******** emos and scene kids try to say there edge....and are under the age of 18 and have no access to it anyway, anyone can claim edge at that age. Being straight edge is nothing more and a ******** fad to them.
Man if you want to be edge then thats good, its a lifestyle choice and there really nothing wrong with it, and it even better that your not an a*****e about it.

We have one of those in Cincinnati, they call themselves "The Courage Crew". My friend Ian, a few of his friends, and I were at a show, drinking and smoking, and they started s**t with us. It was a good fight until the cops showed up and everyone had to run. But apparently out here we used to have a chapter of FSU.

Oh yeah, that's the number one thing what I hate about FSU, they're ignorant and what they "believe in" is stupid.
They say they believe in not conforming into what "society," wants them to be yet, they will beat the s**t out of you (with about 30 other people) if you don't conform into their lifestyle.
Pity.

A chapter? I remember once watching this thing about them, I don't recall where it began, but it was with this guy name John, I believe. Either way, they are usually into the "hardcore scene," and they dislike anyone who is into drinking, drugs, smoking and they dislike skinheads.

I think calling yourself "straight edge" in general is a fad. The only relationship to straight edge and being underage is that there is a lot of peer pressure is society. If you don't drink don't smoke that is fine. Some people need to step off their high horse about the whole straight edge thing.

Isn't that exactly what the system the they are "against" does?
